In this sermon, Pastor Christopher breaks down Zacharias' story, his failure, each person's individual speaking and response, and the crowd's protest against the name 'John'. He also asks us three groups of questions concerning our service to God.  Thanks for listening! LAKEVIEW MISSIONARY CHURCH, 810 S. There are many adjectives used to describe a Christian life, but 'easy' and 'smooth' are probably not one of them. Jesus predicted so many events that would happen to the disciples, and now He was explaining their feelings of grief they would experience. In this sermon, Pastor Christopher explains Jesus' consolation of pain and grief for the disciples. He talks about emotions and how it is okay to feel different ways, why God answers our prayers, and the figurative principles throughout the Word.   Thanks for listening! Jesus was going to leave, but He would not leave the disciples alone. The Holy Spirit was coming as a guide, but the Spirit would be more than just that. In this sermon, Pastor Christopher breaks down the arrival of the Holy Spirit and how it was sent to convict the world. What would it do through the disciples? How would it illuminate the church? What was the destiny of the disciples as followers of Christ? Is the Holy Spirit guiding you? Listen and learn more! Thanks for listening! LAKEVIEW MISSIONARY CHURCH, 810 S. Before Jesus was to die for the sins of the world, He spoke to the disciples to prepare them for persecution. As Christians, we will go through trials and judgements of this world. In this sermon, Pastor Christopher discusses the persecution we experience, from verbal to even modern media. He talks about the work of Satan, The Witness of the Spirit, and the Warning of Persecution. How did Jesus prepare the disciples? Who would the focus be on? And what are 'These Things' Jesus refers to?  Thanks for listening! LAKEVIEW MISSIONARY CHURCH, 810 S. Jesus gives three primary images in this metaphor found in John: The Vine, the Vinedresser, and the Branches. He talks about what it means to be pruned by the Father and what happens to those who don't bear fruit. In this sermon, Pastor Christopher breaks down what it is to abide in Christ, what the three characteristics of fruit are and how that applies to us, and what it means to truly to bear fruit for the Lord.  Thanks for listening! In this sermon, Pastor Christopher talks about the Holy Spirit and what it does for believers. He describes how we are to pray and what Jesus instructs us to do to gain His peace.  How do we minister to troubled people? Where does the Holy Spirit dwell and how do we gain It? Who would betray Jesus? This was the question of John and Peter during the Last Supper. Jesus had told them that one of the disciples would betray Him, but none of them knew who. Jesus treated Judas as a friend, but what did His actions really mean? What did the disciples think? and what three things did Jesus tell them concerning all people? These three teachings apply to us today, but how? Listen and find out! Thanks for listening! LAKEVIEW MISSIONARY CHURCH, 810 S. Jesus always knew what His future was. He wasn't forced or hypnotized into dying for the sins of the world; He did it because He loved us. In the story of Jesus washing the feet of the disciples, we see many different things occur. Peter questions Jesus, Jesus knew that one of His disciples would betray Him, and throughout this evening, we learn so many pointed messages. In this sermon, Pastor Christopher breaks down Jesus' response to Peter. He talks about the two different cleansing categories for us. He also shares Jesus' description of the Purpose, Practice, and Result of serving others. What can we do as servants to others? Listen and find out! Thanks for listening! John wants us to know that Jesus is the Son of God. But even if people believe that He is, they don't always confess it because they love the praise of men more. Jesus tells us that if a person loves his life here on earth, he will lose it, and if a man hates his life, he will save it. What does that mean for us? In this sermon, Pastor Christopher breaks down what Jesus is saying in his speech. He talks about the four things that faith can do for us, he relates Jesus' human emotions to ours, and he shares how we are to follow God in a world of peer pressure. Thanks for listening! After His last miracle, Jesus received many responses from the people. The Jews were trying to find Jesus after He raised Lazarus, but they were under a lot of pressure. Throughout the story, it escalates to people planning to stop this Man who was performing miracles. In this sermon, Pastor Christopher talks about how us as Christians can receive different responses and how God divides people. He also discusses how people can react to the Lord and the Gospel message negatively.   Thanks for listening! LAKEVIEW MISSIONARY CHURCH, 810 S. Demons are present in our world, and they can destroy nations, divide churches, and distort people. In this sermon, Pastor Christopher talks about the three effects the demons had on the possessed man in Mark. He speaks on the scriptures that talk about demonic activity, and where this activity is more prevalent in the world today. On top of this, he discusses the relationship between man and demons, and gives 7 steps on how to fight against these evil forces and cast them out.  Thanks for listening! This is the first sermon in a series entitled: Those Among Us. In this sermon, Pastor Christopher talks about Angels and their effect on our world. There are 3 things everyone must know about angels: They are Real, Created, and Active. What does that mean for us as believers? How are we similar to angels? How are they active? He also talks about the true meaning of praise and worship and what is the only thing that has existed long before humans, angels, and demons.   Thanks for listening! Life is full of decisions, but the most important decision we will ever have to make is the decision of Jesus. In this passage, John tells the story of Jesus talking to the Jews and their reaction to Him calling Himself God. What did they do? What does Jesus say about His “Sheep” when he addresses the Jews? In this sermon, Pastor Christopher talks about the questions of believers and non-believers, what are two ways we can prepare for conflict, and the three decisions we must make concerning Jesus. Tragedy comes to all people at some point in life, but how do we feel secure through the challenges we face? In this passage, John describes Jesus by using allegories. He compares him as 'The Door' and 'The Good Shepherd'. Who are the sheep? Who are the 'Thieves and Robbers'? What is the role of the Good Shepherd? In this sermon, Pastor Christopher breaks down the role of the Good Shepherd. He talks about the allegories John uses, what we need to know about Christ and how He cares for us, and the many details in this passage that show Jesus' love for us. Thanks for listening!
