From RebingeIt: Star Trek Prodigy S2E4 The Fast and the Curious and Is There in Beauty No Truth Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 Episodes 7 and 8: The Fast and the Curious and Is There in Beauty No Truth. In these episodes we run into an evil computer in the first episode and some mysterious non corporeal beings in the second. Neither maybe has our crew's best interest at heart! The Fast and the Curious and Is There in Beauty no Truth In episode 7 we run into some old villains in the Kazon, but not everything is as it seems. The same holds true in episode 8 when we find a planet of non corporeal beings that are maybe keeping a secret of their own. In the first episode, Dal and Gwyn get into a little race for freedom while in the second episode Zero makes some new friends and experiences some new sensations. Today's lesson: ask more questions. Our Kid Correspondent Our kid correspondent Maahi is back! We asked her to record an update for all of the episodes in season 2 up to this week. Look for that toward the end of the podcast. What's this rebinge thing? Normally it's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about....but now we're bringing you something new! Prodigy is our first dive into podcasting new Trek. Come along for the ride! Next time... Come back next time for S2E5 where we cover episodes 9 and10: The Devourer of All Things Parts I and II. From RebingeIt: Star Trek Prodigy S2E3 Observer's Paradox and Imposter Syndrome Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 Episodes 5 and 6: Observer's Paradox and Imposter Syndrome. In these episodes we are trying to figure out our mysterious helper while the young crew hatches a complex plan to get off of Voyager! Observer's Paradox and Imposter Syndrome Murf is trying to tell us something but nobody speaks Murf-ese so Rok-Tahk hatches an innocent plan enlisting the help of Gillian the whale. Later the crew tries to replace themselves with holograms so they can escape Voyager, but in usual fashion everything goes haywire. Today's lesson: don't make the same mistakes as Geordi. Our Kid Correspondent Our kid correspondent Maahi is away this month and is unavailable. She will be back! What's this rebinge thing? From RebingeIt: Star Trek Prodigy S2E2 Who Saves the Saviors and Temporal Mechanics 101 Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 Episodes 3 and 4: Who Saves the Saviors and Temporal Mechanics 101. In these episodes we deal with the fallout of the crew heading into the wormhole too early. Dal wants to stay on mission and rescue Chakotay but everything goes wrong and the very existence of Gwyn is put at risk. We learn the Vulcan Nova squad's name is Maj'El (played by Michaela Dietz) and we absolutely love it! Who Saves the Saviors and Temporal Mechanics 101 Dal, Zero, Jankom and the Vulcan land on Solum 52 years in the future. There is a brief amount of hope as we believe we are there to help with events, but of course it all falls apart when Chakotay changes his actions. Whoops! Meanwhile over on Solum in the past, Gwyn is having a fight-to-the-death with the Vindicator in the giant pit. These things never end well. Today's lesson: don't mess with the timeline, kids. You don't have the time. Our Kid Correspondent Our kid correspondent Maahi is away this month and is unavailable. She will be back! What's this rebinge thing? Normally it's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about....but now we're bringing you something new! Prodigy is our first dive into podcasting new Trek. Rebinge It Presents: Star Trek Prodigy S2E1 and E2 Into the Breach Parts I and II Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 Episodes 1 and 2: Into the Breach. All of our favorites are back (except for Holo Janeway!!!!). We've got the real Janeway this time and her rather acerbic bridge crew! Maybe they're still bitter about Ensign Tahani (yes, I know her name is Asencia) . The entire Prodigy crew is back for a new season and a new adventure and we are going to make our way through it a bit slowly, so please stick with us! This year we have the voices of Kate Mulgrew (Janeway, duh), Jason Alexander (Noum), Daveed Diggs (Atennas), John Noble (Daddy Diviner) and Jameela Jamil (Tahani/Asencia) returning to their great characters. And in not so surprising news, we are treated to Robert Picardo as the holographic doctor! Into the Breach Janeway invites the Prodigy crew to join her on her next mission on board the new Starship Voyager-A. She may be regretting that decision as Dal gets into trouble almost immediately. The rest of the team is trying desperately to fit into Starfleet and their new roles but Dal is unsettled. Janeway is trying to keep a mission into the wormhole under wraps, but when the Prodigy crew learns about it, pretty much everything goes off the rails. Meanwhile on Solum, Gwyn's plan of peace is quickly derailed by the Vindicator. Today's lesson: don't bring kids along on a super secret mission. Our Kid Correspondent Our kid correspondent Maahi is traveling with her family and not in this episode. We do intend to get her back on the pod when she returns home. What's this rebinge thing? Normally it's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about....but now we're bringing you something new! Prodigy is our first dive into podcasting new Trek. RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Wrap Up Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to the Star Trek Prodigy season 1 wrap up! Season 1 Wrap Up In this episode we sum up what happened in the two halves of the season. We talk about our favorite episodes and also go over the big character developments of Dal and Gwyn. We read a lot of feedback from our listeners and we make some pretty non-controversial predictions about season 2. Well...there might be some controversial opinions in there (we can't help ourselves). Lesson for the season: always buy the bigger USB stick. Our Kid Correspondent If you haven't heard our 7-year old correspondent Maahi (from our previous episodes), then this is the time to tune in. She is here to give her thoughts on the entire season and Trek in general! What's this rebinge thing? Normally it's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about....but now we're bringing you something new! Don't miss our previous episode S1E20: Supernova Part II. RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E19 Supernova Part II Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 20: Supernova, Part II. In a season finale full of tears and sacrifices, we bring the story to a satisfying conclusion. There is no other way out but for someone (and something) to be sacrificed to avoid the annihilation of Starfleet. Look out for a couple of Easter Eggs in this episode including a slightly hidden Ender-prizian as well as a cameo by Dr. Erin Macdonald. Supernova, Part II The crew has finally gained some control of the Protostar and realizes that something drastic needs to happen in order to deal with the living construct. In true Star Trek fashion we have our hearts broken but then immediately filled with hope for the future. Today's lesson: always buy the bigger USB stick. Our Kid Correspondent If you haven't heard our 7-year old correspondent Maahi (from our previous episodes), then this is the time to tune in. She is here to give her thoughts on this episode and Trek in general! What's this rebinge thing? RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E19 Supernova Part I Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 19: Supernova, Part I. In this episode, the Vindicator is done hiding. Not only is she happy to reveal her true self but she unleashes the living construct on Starfleet and things are looking dark. Jameela Jamil as the Vindicator really shines in this one! Supernova, Part I The real Janeway is in the brig and the Protostar crew is in deep trouble. There is no more messing around as the Vindicator takes control of the Protostar and puts the plan into motion. There is a heavy price to pay in this episode - not only by Starfleet, but also by Gwyn. This is a serious, action-packed episode that preps us for the season finale. Will Starfleet survive? Yeah, we think it probably will...but HOW? Today's lesson: having no chill can destroy Starfleet. Our Kid Correspondent If you haven't heard our 7-year old correspondent Maahi (from our previous episodes), then this is the time to tune in. She is here to give her thoughts on this episode and Trek in general! What's this rebinge thing? RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E18 Mindwalk Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 18: Mindwalk. In this episode, Dal and Vice Admiral Janeway have a Freaky Friday experience. You are not prepared for the finger guns or the reference to Threshold, the most infamous of all Voyager episodes. This is must-see television. Mindwalk When Zero and Dal try to reach out to Janeway telepathically, something very strange happens and Janeway and Dal switch bodies. While Janeway is finally hearing the story of the Protostar and the living construct, Dal is making a spectacle out of himself on the Dauntless. The Diviner has a surprising moment of enlightenment in this episode as the Protostar hurtles toward Federation space. Today's lesson: bad shoes ruin everything. Our Kid Correspondent If you haven't heard our 7-year old correspondent Maahi (from our previous episodes), then this is the time to tune in. She is here to give her thoughts on this episode and Trek in general! What's this rebinge thing? RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E17 Ghost in the Machine Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 17: Ghost in the Machine. In this episode the holodeck goes a bit wonky (as tends to happen). Stay tuned to the end of the episode where we make a few predictions of how the season will end and what might be next for Holo Janeway. Ghost in the Machine The crew gets stuck in the holodeck where numerous programs start merging together. As if it's not bad enough that they're trapped, they also make the horrible discovery that they have a saboteur on board. This is bad news! Today's lesson: don't give out your ssn over the phone (even if you think Holo Janeway is the one asking). Our Kid Correspondent If you haven't heard our 7-year old correspondent Maahi (from our previous episodes), then this is the time to tune in. She is here to give her thoughts on this episode and Trek in general! What's this rebinge thing? Normally it's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about....but now we're bringing you something new! Prodigy is our first dive into podcasting new Trek. RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E16 Preludes Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 16: Preludes. In this episode we learn a bit more about our main characters and Janeway is rudely introduced to a naked Drednok and the Diviner. Preludes This week the crew is working on fixing the Protostar while safely tucked into the Neutral Zone. We get some flashbacks to fill in some of the gaps in the history of Zero, Rok and Jankom Pog. Meanwhile back on the Dauntless, Janeway walks in on a secret meeting between Drednok, the Diviner and the Vindicator (previously known as Ensign Tahani). We had a few people ask just who the heck is Ensign Tahani and it's just Kim borrowing the name of a previous character portrayed by Jameela Jamil. But now with a name like THE VINDICATOR, we might actually start calling her by her real name on the show. Don't count on it, though. RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E15 Masquerade Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 15: Masquerade. In this episode we are in for some very big reveals. Brace yourself as the crew visits a shady star port in the Neutral Zone and we are going to see behind a few masks. (Why are they listening to Okona?) Masquerade This week the crew stops off at The Noble Isle star port to try and obtain spare parts for their damaged ship. While there, they visit a shady geneticist named Dr. Jago who has some important info to reveal about Dal's origins. Meanwhile, the Romulans are sneaking onto the Protostar to try and take possession of Starfleet's ship! But that's not the end of the surprises in this episode! RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E14 Crossroads Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 14: Crossroads. In this episode the Protostar crew accidentally bumps into the real Vice Admiral Janeway and that leads to a lot of action. Crossroads This week the crew actually makes a pretty decent plan, but it goes horribly wrong when Barnis Frex (remember him?) turns up in an unexpected place. Dal nearly gets the important message to Vice Admiral Janeway before everything falls apart and they end up being chased by the Dauntless. It's an exciting action-packed episode with a big cliff hanger! RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E13 All the World's a Stage Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 13: All the World's a Stage. In this episode the Protostar answers a distress call which lands them on a planet full of people who have incorporated Starfleet into their lives...only it's not exactly right. The colors are wrong, the uniforms are badly stitched together and everything is a bit primitive. All the World's a Stage This week the crew finds a small colony of quirky green-faced aliens who have spent over 100 years passing down the stories of a Starfleet Ensign who crash landed on their planet. Everything is just slightly off as they talk about StarFlight, JamesT, Sprok and Huur'A and they can't quite get the Vulcan greeting down. They seem friendly enough but somehow they've gotten their hands on a Starfleet phaser and communicator. This seems like a prime directive conundrum! RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E12 Let Sleeping Borg Lie Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 12: Let Sleeping Borg Lie. In this episode, our crew bumps into one of the scariest alien enemies in Trek history! Yep, time to deal with those crazy leather-clad drones flying around in a square space ship! Look out kids, it's the Borg (no, they are not Swedish)! Let Sleeping Borg Lie This week we bump into a dormant Borg ship and rather than do the sensible thing and run away, we decide to pay it a visit! BAD DECISION! Not only do we nearly all get assimilated, but we also nearly hand over our newly discovered weapon the living construct! Hopefully if nothing else, we have learned an important lesson: ALWAYS LISTEN TO JANEWAY. And also, don't be a Borg. Come along for the ride! Next time... Come back next week for S1E13: All the World’s a Stage. You can also check out the previous episode S1E11 Asylum! RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E11 Asylum Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 11: Asylum. Season 1 continues in this action-packed episode where the crew seeks asylum on a remote Starfleet Comm Station manned by a single officer. You know this isn't going to be as easy as our crew hopes. Asylum In this week's episode, the Protostar approaches a deep space communication relay station named CR-721. The lone crew person Lt Jr Grade Barniss Frex is very friendly until he scans the Protostar and the Diviner's secret weapon kicks into overdrive. Now the crew must scramble just to survive as the station begins to tear itself apart. No Caitian to save in this episode, but plenty of Janeway (real and holo) and even a little nod to the Voyager theme song for the geeks (like us). RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E10 A Moral Star, Part 2 Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 10: A Moral Star, Part 2. This is the second of a two-parter which feels like the end of season 1, but apparently it's actually a mid-season break that will lead us into 10 more episodes later this year. Either way, it was a big flourish of an ending with so many exciting things to discuss. If for some reason you haven't watched it, YOU MUST. Get thee to a streaming device post haste! That was weird, I don't know why I said that. A Moral Star, Part 2 In this week's episode, we learn so many things! We learn that the crew was prepared for this entire eventuality and they are ready to get the miners/prisoners off the asteroid and take back their ship. Gwyn and Hologram Janeway were ready for the possibility of the Diviner trying to reprogram Janeway. But what we weren't ready for was the reason behind all of this. We finally get some answers of how we ended up here. This is a must watch episode with some real surprises and a bonus for Trek fans at the end. #savethecaitian Save the caitian you say? Well, what if the caitian saves us!??? You go kitty! Our Kid Correspondent If you haven't heard our 6-year old correspondent Maahi (from our previous episodes), then this is the time to tune in. She always tells us what she thinks about the episode and this week she has some thoughts about the caitian! What's this rebinge thing? Normally it's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about....but now we're bringing you something new! Prodigy is our first dive into podcasting new Trek. RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E9: A Moral Star Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 9: A Moral Star. This is the first of a two-parter taking us into the end of Season 1 already! This week the crew heads back to their prison on Tars Lamora to make a deal with the Diviner. We've got secret plans, a cute pink cat, new Starfleet Uniforms and Kim shouting JERKS at the TV. Listen in to our discussion! A Moral Star In this week's episode, the crew gets a threatening message from the Diviner. He threatens all of the lives of the unwanted in exchange for his precious Protostar. So the team montages their way through a secret plan and then heads back to the mines. But when they arrive, the Diviner immediately changes the terms of the deal and everything starts to go haywire....but wait....our crew isn't quite as naïve as they were a few episodes ago! #savethecaitian Our Kid Correspondent If you haven't heard our 6-year old correspondent Maahi (from our previous episodes), then this is the time to tune in. She always tells us what she thinks about the episode and this week she guesses what might happen next! What's this rebinge thing? RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E8 Time Amok Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 8: Time Amok. This episode brings us a classic Star Trek problem of time running amok while the crew needs to work like a team while out of contact with each other. Time Amok In this week's episode, Janeway worries the crew is coming undone and tries some team building. That does not go well and Dal ends up admitting they aren't who Janeway thinks they are. In Star Trek irony, as the team is torn apart they are forced to trust each other even when they can't see or interact. Rok-Tahk is the team's last hope and she better figure out what to do before the Protostar explodes. Meanwhile, the Diviner is twirling his moustache and finding ways to get to his precious ship. Our Kid Correspondent If you haven't heard our 6-year old correspondent Maahi (from our previous episodes), then this is the time to tune in. She always tells us what she thinks about the episode and what (if anything) she's learned from it! What's this rebinge thing? Normally it's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about....but now we're bringing you something new! Prodigy is our first dive into podcasting new Trek. RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E7 First Con-tact Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 7: First Con-tact (emphasis on the CON). This episode brings us more Star Trek lore and introduces a new generation of Trek fans to the Prime Directive, the transporter and the nastiness of the Ferengi! First Con-tact In this week's episode, the crew is playing around with the transporter which clearly none of them have experienced before. They run into an old friend of Dal's who turns out to be...maybe not such a great person. The crew embarks on a mission of first contact with an alien species and finds out pretty quickly that they were not prepared. Janeway is not amused by Dal's shenanigans (maybe we could add this line to every episode). Meanwhile, Janeway is trying to find more clues to her erased memory. Our Kid Correspondent If you haven't heard our 6-year old correspondent Maahi (from our previous episodes), then this is the time to tune in. RebingeIt Brings You: Star Trek Prodigy S1E5 Kobayashi Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Star Trek Prodigy Season 1 Episode 6: Kobayashi. This is an episode full of Trek lore and Easter eggs!! Well, not so much Easter eggs as just flat out references to previous characters and previous incarnations of Trek. It's a must see for Trek fans! Kobayashi We pick up the action this week right where we left off in the mid-season finale. The crew comes flying out of the protostar-induced warp with everyone screaming. They have managed to travel 4000 light years in a few seconds (or about 7 weeks if we're watching our own calendars)! They've escaped the Diviner, so they've got more time to spend exploring the new ship. Dal ends up running the Kobayashi Maru simulation with some well known characters as his bridge crew - this is maybe the coolest part of the episode. Meanwhile, Gwyn, Janeway and Zero are digging into the encrypted memory banks of the computer. Turns out the ship is hiding some interesting info from everyone (including Janeway)!
