ホストファミリーをしている友達（ともだち）の家（いえ）に遊（あそ）びに行（い）ってきました。友達の家に来（き）ている、その留学生（りゅうがくせい）はなんとメルボルン出身（しゅっしん）！！私（わたし）もとらもメルボルン在住（ざいじゅう）経験（けいけん）があるので、メルボルンの話（はなし）で盛（も）り上（あ）がりました。なんて偶然（ぐうぜん）！実（じつ）は世界（せかい）って狭（せま）いですね！友達の住（す）んでいる町（まち）には、私たちは行（い）ったことがなく、どんな場所（ばしょ）なのかも知（し）らなかったのですが、のんびりして素敵（すてき）なところでした。なにより、私たちの大好物（だいこうぶつ）、うなぎが美味（おい）しくて安（やす）いことで有名（ゆうめい）です。友達が炭（すみ）で焼（や）いてくれたうなぎが美味しくて感動（かんどう）した話、もちろんメルボルンの話、それから海産物（かいさんぶつ）の別名（べつめい）についてなども話しました。 Tora and I visited my friend who is hosting an exchange student. Surprisingly, the student is from Melbourne! What a coincidence! It really shows how small the world can be. Since both Tora and I have lived in Melbourne, we had a great time reminiscing about both Melbourne and Japan. Interestingly, this was our first visit to my friend's town, despite it being in the same prefecture as ours. The town was a quiet and lovely place. Most notably, it's famous for our favorite seafood, eel! My friend purchased some at a seafood market and grilled them over charcoal for us. It was the best eel we've ever had! We talked about our fantastic experience with the fresh eel and our memories of Melbourne, and we also discussed the nicknames of various seafoods. マレーシア生活（せいかつ）２週間（にしゅうかん）が経（た）ちました。初（はじ）めの１週間（いっしゅうかん）は生活（せいかつ）に慣（な）れるのが精一杯（せいいっぱい）で、なかなかクアラルンプールを楽し（たの）めず、ポッドキャストでもあまりポジティブな報告（ほうこく）ができなかった私（わたし）たちですが、１週目（いっしゅうめ）と違（ちが）って２週目（にしゅうめ）は、少（すこ）しこちらの生活（せいかつ）にも慣（な）れて、二人（ふたり）とも前向（まえむ）きなことが言（い）えるようになりました。とらくんはバドミントンを通（つう）じて学校（がっこう）でも友達（ともだち）ができ、学校（がっこう）が楽（たの）しくなったようです。私（わたし）もジムのスタッフと仲良（なかよ）くなったりで、趣味（しゅみ）を持（も）つことが海外生活（かいがいせいかつ）でとても重要（じゅうよう）なんだなということに気（き）づきました。１週目（いっしゅうめ）と違（ちが）ってだいぶ前向（まえむ）きになった私（わたし）たちの生活（せいかつ）を聞（き）いてください。 It has been two weeks since we started living in Malaysia. In the first week, we were so focused on getting used to life here that we couldn’t really enjoy Kuala Lumpur, and we weren’t able to share many positive updates in the podcast. However, unlike the first week, by the second week, we’ve gotten a bit more accustomed to life here, and both of us can now speak more positively. Tora has made friends at school through badminton, and it seems like he’s started to enjoy school. I’ve also become friends with the gym staff, which made me realize how important it is to have hobbies when living abroad. 7月末(がつまつ)からとらくんとマレーシアに来(き)ています。今回（こんかい）はマレーシアから録音(ろくおん)してお送(おく)りしています。実(じつ)は日本(にほん)からマレーシアまで私(わたし)たち2人(にん)は別々(べつべつ)の航空会社(こうくうがいしゃ)で来(き)ました。とらくんはシンガポール航空(こうくう)、私(わたし)は日本航空(にほんこうくう)です。かつて機内(きない)サービス世界(せかい)１だったシンガポール航空(こうくう)ですが、とらくんはあまり満足(まんぞく)できなかったようです。私(わたし)の乗(の)った日本航空(にほんこうくう)はサービスもよくて大満足(だいまんぞく)でした。そんな機内(きない)でのサービスについて、２つの航空会社(こうくうがいしゃ)を比較(ひかく)しながら話(はな)しました。 Since the end of July, Tora-kun and I have been in Malaysia. We stayed on the west side of Ikebukuro, and we were surprised by the nightlife there, which we encountered for the first time. Adapting to his return hasn't been easy, as he fully embraced the local culture there, and now experiences reverse culture shock back in Japan. He's struggling to fit in and reconnect with Tora, who has grown up quite a bit in his absence. Although things are slowly getting better, our new life together is far from settled.
