Description
Rosanne Boyland hated politics. She was shy, and she rarely left her home in Georgia. But then her family got a shocking call: Rosanne had died at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, in the middle of a crowd trying to force its way past a police line.
From the depths of their grief, the Boylands vow to figure out what happened to Rosanne. Her brother-in-law, Justin Cave, reaches out to an old high school friend he hopes can help: MSNBC journalist Ayman Mohyeldin.
The quest for the truth takes Ayman back to his hometown of Kennesaw, Georgia, where he retraces the last six months of Rosanne's life and picks up a trail that leads to childhood haunts, missing boyfriends, and down shadowy internet rabbit holes. American Radical is a five part series, with new episodes every Thursday and Sunday through December 19.

I think Roseanne died of a heart attack. That must be the only logical reason. She was overweight, had high blood pressure, the stressful situation that must had added up to something. That explains how she fell over. Her heart gave out when she was climbing up the steps, she slowed down and some loser pushed her over on to ground. She was still alive on the ground but her heart gave out. With more people polling on top of her, she couldn’t get up to get help. Trapped underneath the pile her heart attack killed her. I mean a dead body would not have any bruises after death.
Sad story. I feel bad for her loss and the pain her family is feeling. But they're worst fears are being realized about Roseanne's legacy. She fell for Qanon BS conspiracy stuff and became a supporter of a dictator wannabe. No matter how hard the family tries, she will be remembered as a Jan 6 rioter. Sorry, but she was where she should not have been taking part in something she should not have been doing.
The Capitol Police were literally fighting for their lives. They were badly outnumbered, and several officers died as a result of the fighting that day. Many others are still battling both physical and psychological trauma a year later. You can't really blame them for doing their job and fighting back against a terrorist insurrection... The ones to blame for Roseanne's death are the insurrection organizers.
call HBO, showtime or Netflix sale this before someone steals it.
QAnon: They will take you, they will use you, and they will kill you. And once you're dead, they will replace you.
so stupid
Amazing how these people can justify the most horrific actions, even against their own. Speak one word against their idol and they respond with death threats. The behavior is reminiscent of jihadi terrorists. How is this "patriotic"?
They don't say whar he does at the club but I find it pretty gross they could be outing him as a sex worker. The name and type of club is unnecessary to the story. They need to do better considering the stigma and safety concerns of sex work.
I am just on the second hour of the podcast and I can see some symptoms of a mood disorder. Has any psychologist diagnosed the young lady with a mood disorder?
Hopefully, some day, we can get some clarity.
Without trying to sound to harsh. It sounds to me that someone needed to get a job and continue to stay sober. And instead of following conspiracy theories, work for a way out of her parents house and start an adult life.
We are blaming the police now? Are you serious? They were a little bit busy at the time.

Taking amphetamine is not sobriety. Being overweight and taking amphetamine for 10 years will definitely put stress on your heart. I'm a fat recovering addict.
MB is a dumb ass dumbacrap
Shaman dude was "antifa" Give me a freaking break!
The young man's press statement says it all. Former President Donald J. Trump incited the violence on that day. He and the other leaders of the republican party that supported his false claims are responsible for hers, and the other deaths that day. They spat directly on everything it means to be an American, and as so called leaders, they knew exactly what they were doing and what it would create. They should be held criminally responsible and punished to the fullest extent of the law
Thank you so much for doing this podcast. First I would like to my heart goes out to Rosanne's family I am so sorry for their loss. I have to admit that I have not given a lot of thought about the protesters that died that day except Ashley Babbit. I have been so angry at Donald Trump and Qanon and anti vaxers that I didn't give a second thought about those family's. I guess the Trump presidency has changed me too. Thank you again for telling Rosanne's story.
