This race is a nice refresher from all the normal road and trail races out there. If you're looking for something a little different, this is the race! Strip back all the commercial hoopla and fancy timing and take it back to just a stop watch for time and someone at the finish calling out your time for you. This week we ran a wonderful local race called the T-Rex 10 Miler and it was SO much fun. This race is old school and no frills but has tons of fun and plenty of swag. If you are in the West Michigan area on July 4th we would highly recommend this event. If 10 miles is too much you can run "The Wimpy" 6k race. So there is fun for everyone. Being one of the oldest 100 mile foot races in the world, the Western States 100 is very special. It has a lot of history starting in 1974. The race is now iconic for many reasons.
