This week we cover the abduction and murder of Carla Walker. A case that wasn't solved for 46 years. A suspect that was living not far from where the abduction occurred. Thanks to Othram, a company that uses forensic genealogy to solve unsolved cases amongst other geneological solutions, Paul Holes the master detective that he is and Fort Worth never forgetting about what happened to Carla Walker in 1974, the case has finally been solved. There are several other victims whose murders are similar to Carla's that have yet to be solved. May there be justice in those cases soon.
This week we cover the disappearance and murder of Tara Grinstead, a teacher and former beauty queen. We take a deep dive into the case right as trial starts for Ryan Duke at the Irwin County Courthouse in Ocilla, Tara's alleged murder. We also explore why this might be a case of a false confession after Ryan was possibly setup by his own friend Bo Dukes.
We also recap some of the highlights from CrimeCon in Las Vegas, such as hearing from John Ramsey and meeting The Prosecutors.
Kristin and Ashlee discuss the horrifying murders committed by Edmund Kemper. Best known as the Co-Ed Killer. A serial killer whose victims weren't just innocent co-ed's.
Ashlee and Kristen cover the tragic shooting of the mass murder at a Lane Bryant in Tinley Park, Illinois, on February 2, 2008. Jennifer Bishop (34), Carrie Chiuso (33), Rhoda McFarland (42), Sarah Szafranski (22), and Connie Woolfolk (37) were all found deceased by police. The gunman was described as a black man with thick, cornrowed hair with one braid on the right side of his face, with green beads. Police still believe this was a robbery gone wrong.
There is a $100,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of this gunman.
Anyone with information about the murders is asked to call the Tinley Park Department's tip hotline at (708) 444-5394 or send an email to lanebryant.tipline@tinleypark.org. All information provided to the tip line will be kept confidential.
Kristin and Ashlee discuss the tragic murder suicide of the Hart Family. This sad case of abuse the children experienced to the horrific day when the two people who vowed to keep them safe took their young, innocent lives.
Join Ashlee and Kristen as they cover the alleged suicide of Rebecca Zahau. She was found hanging at the Sparkles Mansion in Coronado, California, on July 13th, 2011. This was two days after 6-year-old Max Shacknai, the son of her boyfriend Jonah Shacknai, had fallen from the staircase of the mansion and was in critical condition in a hospital. Were these both tragic accidents or was there foul play involved.
Kristin and Ashlee discuss the tragic deaths of Lauren Smith Fields and Peter Bernardo Spencer. Both cases have sparked media outrage on the mishandling of both investigations by police. Neither investigation has lead to any suspects in custody. What happened to Lauren Smith Fields? Why is the person who admitted to shooting Peter Bernardo Spencer not in custody?
Ashlee takes us through the tragic love story of Addie Hall and Zack Bowen. Zack left a written confession to the police letting them know he killed his girl friend, and then took his own life. Is this a clear case of untreated mental illness, or is there something more sinister at play. This brutal case takes place in New Orleans right after Hurricane Katrina and is often referred to as the Katrina Cannibal.
