hey guys i've got a new mic and i'm going to be doing a little bit of exercise for you today let's go for one of our imaginary walks shall we so what do we do first well let's just walk on the spot that's where we're going everywhere but nowhere we're just taking some early morning steps i swing your arms as well so just as if you were walking down the road oh that's nice isn't it how do you feel today i'm going to ask you to shake your hands and your wrists shake them around a bit keep stepping as if you're walking down the road and now let's move our elbows can you do that sort of rotate your elbow joint as if you were waving all the way around waving making big circles in the air with your hands that's using your elbow joint you see it's interesting isn't it you don't think about that when you do a wave like that but actually you're using your shoulder as well so now i want you to keep walking keep walking and just shrug your shoulders a few times as you're walkinghow's that feel today trying to really large rotation on your shoulders all the way around so you're taking the shrug a little bit further and you're just making big round circles with those shoulders oh that's going to wake us up isn't it oh yes that feels lush very nice very nice now can i ask you to kick try and kick your bum with your heel you won't be able to do it i i suspect but just do that and right and left and right and left oh it feels interesting doesn't it oh yeah very nice now pop your hands on your hips and i want you to rotate your hips like a sexy move all the way around so around to the left to the front you're sticking your front out around to the side sticking it as far as it will go round to the back and try and keep your head still so this rotation is really working that core i mean you could turn your head but it's not going to do so much work so let's try and keep everything straight it's the what we want to do is open up those hips a bit to movement so they get used to it get rid of all that sitting and stiffness that happened all week because we were at work that wasn't pleasant was it it was horrible we didn't get nearly enough exercise and round a couple more of those because they're quite exciting aren't they sexy moves and round one more time let's try one more time and round very good now let's go back to walking again i'm going to ask you to put both hands up in front of you and then down again and keep walking and down okay and up with hands and down again and as you come up put your hands upwards to come down and downwards to come up it's a bit dance-like isn't it it's almost ballet practically ballet darlings keep walking keep walking down the road that's it now i want you to take your arms right up somebody wants me to the ceiling in a prayer shape so you're praying above your head and you're still walking oh okay quite puffed now just had my breakfast it's going to help your breakfast go down really well and now take your prayer hands apart twist your hands down and come down to the sides like an aeroplane oh and then back up again into prayer and then back down again like an airplane up like a prayer above your head try and keep your arms straight but don't worry if they can't go straight and back down like an airplane and up to a prayer and back down to an airplane now with our airplane wings i want you to make big circles with your hands oh i can feel that i can feel my arm muscles are getting a bit of use today a little bit of use that's what i want to get rid of my bingo wings don't like them don't like them at all okay now arms down and we're just going to swing from left to right and that's about all we're going to do today but keep doing that for a minute or two this is a really gentle warm-up this morning i'm going to try and get the uh studio ready so that we can start doing the videos next week i had to write a few technical issues this week i'm afraid okay guys i think that's our little warm-up done this morning wow i feel good i'm gonna go and get a coffee now and um i've got lots of lovely things happening at telltale club for you guys um i've just framed three pictures actually but i can't show you them because they're a bit rude they're japanese erotic art and i framed them up they look absolutely wonderful so i'm going to find somewhere today to put those and i decided i'm going to put them in my hallway so i'm going to paint a bit of a wall as well and you will see those videos because they go on my 60 summers video channel so i suppose i better go on with my day you get on with your day and join the forum and if you want to and tell me how you get on with these movement classes perhaps if you're very elderly tell me if they're too much and how i could do them a bit differently um i think next week we'll when we do the videos it'll be much much easier to follow things so much love from raw clarence somebody else wants me so i really better go i will be back very soon
hi guys so welcome to a really really good way to get some muscle stretching so i've just had a bath i'm naked which is the best way to moisturize i mean if you've got a bit of dry leg or something you don't need to get totally undressed for that but after a bath our bodies are all loosened up and our paws are all open so we respond really well to a little bit of stretching and exercise usually the pain if we're in any under any sort of um canopy of the of chronic pain conditions of which there are just so many but usually a bath really sorts that out actually more than a shower but perhaps you're here because you've had a shower so what i want you to do is just a couple of steps as if you were walking just a couple just to make sure your body's used to moving now that we've got out of the bath okay and i'm just going to check the towel of my hair because it'll fall off when i start to do some of these lovely massage positions so get your uh your lotion and i mean i'm using well i won't say what i'm using but it comes in a big bottle it's got a nut on it or a coconut or something i've got my spokes on so i can't see so we're going to start at the bottom uh feet and toes but what i want you to try and do if you can is to keep your legs straight so have your legs apart and pop some of the lotion in the middle of one palm and then take half of it onto the other fingers and then just bend down and try and do your upper feet in between your toes both sides if you can and perhaps around your ankles now keeping your legs straight now if you put them further apart it may be a bit easier so legs apart lots of lotion there and lots of massage now if you try and come up a little bit and take some of that lotion up towards the knees and if you haven't got enough uh put pop some more on stop and pop some more i'm going to go right up to the um the knee i'm not going to do my knee now but i want to get all around with my legs straight massaging those shins and my calves at the back and behind the knee and back down and up and down this is so good for um stretching the the back and the ligament the the spine just taking it to where it needs to go now if you can't do that what you can do is you pop your foot on us on the side of the bath or the loop and you can do it that way so now i'm i've got one leg straight and the other is supported and i'm just massaging all of my feet now this is quite good because it means you can get your heels so let's do that let's get the heels now ordinarily you'd use a different sort of lotion on on the sides of your feet because they're very dry and let's pop the other leg up you might need to unravel and it might hurt a bit so let's get the other heel lots of lotion lots of round circles that's really good for your wrists as well so i'm being quite um theatrical about the turns of my wrist so i'm really working i'm coming right around now onto the shins and the calves and i'm actually being quite a contortionist with my arms and elbows sort of exaggerating things it's fun okay so pop that lid back down and just do a little bit of walking now a little bit of air walking not really not really going anywhere but feels like walking so now we're going to do from the knee to the top of the thighs and we're going to do both sides so you need probably a little bit more lotion than you had before into one palm onto the other fingers and you can bend your knees now just bend your knees what we're doing actually is a squat so bend your knees to get to the to to your knees and you can then massage your knees you see what i mean so they're bent my back's fairly straight my bum isn't sticking too far out and i'm massaging the thighs and as you come up lift and then back down lift and then back down that's the front done now let's do the sides thigh sides down and up my bones cracking down and up let's do the inside of the thighs down and up and round and down and up so i'm up the inside of the floor thigh down on the front move around the knee into the inner thigh and up and around now these squats are really good for us in here i'm quite panty already so let's try to do the back so i'm going i'm at the top by where my knickers would be and i'm going to go down and bend at the same time and i'm going right round to the back and then i'm coming up without standing can you feel that now this is probably the hardest so down behind all the way up and as you come up to the buttocks stand upround to the front down bend the knees over the knee behind the knee up the back thigh up to the buttocks and back round to the front down up round and you can go all around make up your own you just have to be specific with this so let's just go a bit crazy and get those arms moving now you're probably a little bit breathless like i am that's okay stand up for a minute and we'll just do a little bit of walking so our body is done it's nicely moisturized and we've had a little bit of a workout at the same time which is fantastic isn't it now we're going to do our torso from underneath the boobs or the the moves maybe we've got moves but whatever you've got there so avoid the nipples at the moment you're doing the whole expense of your lower torso from just under your um rib cage i suppose just at the start of your uh that main section and we're going to cover our stomach and go right around and then as we come down we're going to do our bums so again get some lots of lovely moisturizer there onto the other fingers i'm going to start around my belly button it's a bit cold and i'm doing circular motions and i'm moving further out okay you can hear it can't you and now i'm going round to the buttocks and i'm going all around the bum okay now try and keep your body straight when you're doing this okay try and breathe in don't breathe out and have a straight back while you're doing it can you feel how important that is you'll be much more comfortable actually now as you're doing the the buttercream come up into the small of the back and round and up to the small of the back and round again towards the belly button massaging all the time it's really good wrist exercise as well so round around the back make sure you're getting all the bum cheek and as high as you can go with your moisturizing hands up the back because this back bit is going to be quite difficult for us so i'm going as high as i can and i'm opening my hands up so my thumbs are actually under my boobs and the rest of my hand is sort of grasping my side and then i'm coming down and coming down to my behind and just going around my behind a few times get that moisturizer working and then round to the front and i'm doing this nice s shape with both hands on my tummy okay so how we feeling now that was a really good hand access exercise and what you'll find actually is the more you do different things with your fingers and your hands the more healthy and mobile your hands will be unfortunately as we get older we tend not to use them so much anymore and then once we've got arthritis and what have you it they become painful to use but the other thing that's you know really a problem for um modern day elderly if you like or people in their 60s or 50s who really we were the first adults to experience smartphones and what have you our fingers and our wrists are causing so many problems because we're on the phone all the time you know where we're or we're on computer games all the time or you know playstations all this sort of thing really bad do you when you look at yourself while you're rubbing your moisturizer all over your belly you can see that your hands because open them and close them this isn't the sort of thing that you do when you're on a phone on a smartphone on a smartphone it's more or less thumbs computer you know perhaps a few fingers but you know we've got text to speech now and what have you and so it goes on and before you know it actually your fingers are useless to you and we want to keep them going for as long as we can primarily of course we are musicians um over at the cheltenham club and we need to be very agile a finger because of the um all the instruments right so now's the time for chest area and neck now we're going to do the chest area and neck separately to the back and the arms for the minute so onto the chest and massaging if you've got boots if you've got big boobs you've got more to do um if you if you're carrying a little bit of extra weight you've got more to do round get all that moisturizer in that's it and then onto the chest and follow the collarbone over onto the shoulders do you see and alternate so the right shoulder the left shoulder the right shoulder the left shoulder and i'm using the opposite hands and then down to the boobs or the chest for men and just go around with those all around and we're going to start approaching the armpit that's fabulous isn't it so we've just had a bath we're all clean now if we lift one arm and just take hopefully you've got enough moisturizing if you haven't put some more on we're just going to go around the boobies over the chest and all around the shoulder and the armpit with one hand raised above the head okay now that feels different doesn't it feels very different we don't often do this position but this is very very good for a ligament stretching and mobility okay so chest boob up onto armpit shoulder and swap so there we go chest boob up onto shoulder lift the arm and onto the armpit okay a few of those if you can and keep the um it can be a bit bent but keep it as high as you possibly can okay right now we should have a little bit extra that we can just use on the neck the front of the neck i've just washed my hair so i've got quite a lot of i've got quite a lot going on there let's massage the neck and now let's go to the back of the neck that's it oh it feels good damn it i mean this is good for on so many levels and it feels fantastic um it's really oh you c
See you on the forum social network herewww.tale-teller.club/forumhello guys welcome to saturday and the sun shining a little bit i've got a feeling it's going to be very warm now we're just going to do a little bit of a warm-up today just to get the juices flowing now i won't lie i've had one coffee and i checked my phone and i got a little bit carried away on facebook there and i watched about four reels and before i realized what i was doing i thought no i'm supposed to be doing this standing up so i've got up and now i'm going to do a little stretch with you and i thought we'd do it together why because when you do a bit of exercise with somebody else it just feels a little bit less lonely so part your legs about two foot apart and we're just going to move our weight onto either leg and lifting one leg and pointing with our toe okay so weight on one leg point the toe on the other legs apart point the toe point to the toe point to the toe we're gonna do a few of those oh already already just by doing that i can feel that things are activating it's like turning on a switch almost in my body it feels absolutely glorious so let's try it a bit faster shall we so left pointer right point toe left right left let's swing our arms to match we're swinging our arms the opposite direction to the toe point right left right left right i can feel it in my calves well i can feel it everywhere now keep doing that with your legs but now we're going to do something with our shoulders we're just going to rotate them and try and get the blood coming up to our head and our back quite often it's the back that causes all these problems when we get a bit older we're trying to get out of bed i don't know about you but the first thing i do when i get out of bed is sit and then put my legs over and what we really should be doing when we're a bit older is doing that slowly so that the blood doesn't all rush to the head to the feet rather very very quickly and then you can feel very faint now the problem with the inner mechanics of your blood pressure gauges i hope you're still rocking from hip to hip and heel to heel um or toe-to-toe uh is that your body readjusts for when you're standing but sometimes this can be a bit too slow so it's not deadly if you feel dizzy but it's dangerous because you can fall over and a lot of people end up in hospital a lot of elderly people because they've done something too hurriedly and then they bang on the floor with a faint so we don't want that so when you get up in the morning do it slowly just sit up first get the blood all going that way so it knows what it's doing because you've been lying down for seven seven or eight hours you see and that's you know your body needs a little bit of time to catch up with your will of course our will is lit sleep out of bed and pop the kettle on you know but your body needs to catch up with you and i noticed this with a lot of elderly people they like thinking about doing things that are fast but actually you know they're really not able to so nice and slowly and then you put your legs round put your feet on the floor just wait a few seconds you don't have to wait long and maybe have a little stretch with the arms up in the air before you get up that's the way i do it and that's the way i recommend anyway back to this rocking so let's roll our shoulders a bit i've got my hands on my hips and i'm rocking from side to side on my legs i'm looking in a mirror while i do this i like to look in the mirror because the mirror gives you a real sense of those bones coming around i'm doing both together i like my shoulders i'm very pleased with the the shoulders that i was given at birth backwards and forwards let's get those really moving and do one at a time take your hands down to the sides and do one shoulder at a time to match the leg movements so left right left right left right oh i can feel that can you feel that working oh i mean the more you go the more rounded you go the more you can feel the blood rushing into your shoulder blades so still rocking let's do a little bit of uh more advanced rocking more extreme rocking so a bit more like a dance and let's lift those arms up a little bit higher a little bit higher and let's look left and right towards our hands as we're lifting them right left right left can you feel that in your neck now that you're rotating your head our heads are very heavy and our heads cause us a lot of problems with posture so make sure you're lifting nice and straight if you can oh that's really getting the blood going i'm looking forward to today i really am so let's finish off with some stretches shall we so just uh let's all let everything go shake those hands and those elbows we'll do a little bit of walking pretend you're walking going for a walk with the dog should we pretend we've got a dog so before we finish with our stretches let's just a little march down the road quite fairly briskly i think left right left right and lift those hands up towards your um chest as you're doing these steps so a little march rather than a stroll today um strolling's really good last thing at night and we should always try and do a little bit of exercise straight after dinner to help the food digest now i've had my porridge so this is really really good it helps with digestion because a lot of people when they're a bit older have terrible time digesting food it goes down so slowly especially if we've overdone it so a little bit of exercise after breakfast is a really good idea don't do it before because we've got low low blood sugar and that's not really such a good idea it's enough just to get to put the kettle on i think oh so that's our little march we can pretend we're with the dog pretend the dogs run off and have to go and catch it let's go and catch fire let's make it a bit faster left right left right just on the spot left right left right left right left right now if you do that a couple of times a day oh quite puff now a couple of times i'm still doing it slowly while i talk if you do that a couple of times a day guys um after you've eaten a big meal it's so so good for digestion as i say but it's also really really good for trying to get as many steps in as you possibly can so when you do it do it with your phone holding your phone because it'll mark your steps you'll track them in your pants if you want you know in your waistband if you're not wearing a coat or something um or you can just hold it in your hands and if you've got a health app most phones come with one um oh did you hear that that was my leg click most phones come with a an app which measures measures your step and the the recommended is ten thousand steps three times a week well it's very impractical it's about an hour's walk at a reasonable pace and you know trying to get that into a busy lifestyle is pretty hard actually so what i do is i try to do three times a day um a little a little walk a little strollers i pretend i'm walking my imaginary dog so even if you just do 10 minutes you'll actually find you get quite a few steps in if you do that every day rather than sort of three long hour or hour and a half long expeditions if you like you'll find it fits in with your life much better but it also helps all that digestion oh so let's stop there for a minute right legs apart i'm just going to lift our arms up to the ceiling we're going to look up to the ceiling as well i want you to extend that neck looking up and you you can feel the compression in your hips so let's just try and lift as far as you can as if we're going to touch the ceiling and just hold it there oh and breatheholding it there touching the ceiling just try and pull everything all those ligaments pull them up all those muscles that have been compressed during the night and let's come down again oh how does that feel wow i mean that's exhilarating isn't it whoa i like that a lot now if you if you've got time you can do a few of those and i want you to do the smells smell your armpit exercise so hands to side feet apart look down at your armpit and just hold that for as fast as hard as you can and now try and smell it as if it was really close you don't actually have to smell it darlings and now i want you to bring your arm up on the armpit that you're smelling and hold your head and pull your head down as near to your armpit as possible and just feel that all those muscles in your neck being stretched there that's really good i'm going to hold that for a bit oh now the recommend is as you hold that for about 15 seconds or longer if you can but it's actually quite hard work so i don't want you to push it too far but as long as possible and you can really feel that huge muscle that's holding your skull up there on the opposite side really having a little stretch somebody wants me but they can't have me now let's lift it back up again now do this slowly because it's quite easy to feel a little bit giddy after doing that one and now we're going to smell the other armpits so just turn the head and if you're like me and you've been doing a lot of exercise recently you'll really feel all these muscles let's smell the other armpit as hard and fast as you can um i don't mean fast and i mean sort of with as much energy so then bring the hand up cup the head and pull down now this one goes much further on me but i can feel it on the back of my ribs really pulling down marvelous i'm going to hold that for a few minutes this is a really good morning stretch and after you've done any time on the computer or knitting or crochet or painting anything that requires that you're in the same position for a long time do these stretches if you can every 20 minutes that's the recommended for for um you know it's the same as your eyes rest your i'm going to release that oh that was lovely um it's the same with your eyes staring at the screen
hi everybody welcome to a little keep fit warm-up session to get us started for this rather fabulous friday i hope beyond hope that your world is a really safe and good place for you today um and i hope we can make it a little bit better with some rocking from side to side so what i'm going to do today i've got my stand up computer station and i've just uploaded a couple of new podcasts i thought can easily done well the wonderful thing i found actually while i'm do what i'm talking by the way i'm just uh moving from side to side and putting the weight on different legs and bending one knee so bend the knee straighten the knee do you see what i mean so i'm i'm sort of moving you might be able to hear that i don't know um so my my other rule about the stand up location the stand-up office if you like is when i'm on it i don't stand still when i'm using it rather i should say i keep moving so no matter what it is even if it's just a rock from side to side i just had some bob marley and i'm so disappointed i can't play it for you because i think it's really so much easier to do things like that if you're listening to dance music or listening to something with a really strong pulse um you know we can't help moving to that and that's really good for us um incredibly good for us i'm actually going to buy um a record player i mean i think they still call them record players i really fancy one here i'm i'm in a sort of faux balcony area at the penthouse the sun pours in um and all all afternoon especially up right up to about nine o'clock now with british summer time and i just thought no i need to have a record player and and go back to my rather um shady youth where we didn't care about the neighbours because i won't do that because i do care about the neighbours now um and i get upset when they're too noisy so do as you would be done by as it were um but i really fancy that and what i'll do is i'll start buying some 78s because um there are a lot of 78s that i am allowed to play if they were done before 1926. so really old 78 so i'll get actually there's there is a a copyright set subsection thing which is often i think after 1950 i'll find out because i don't want to get into trouble alternatively i could quite simply pop on a bit of my music in the background um just to rock to but i like the idea of vinyl don't you you know getting it out of a a trunk or something or off a shelf looking feeling it was so tactile aren't they they're so big um you just just don't get that with cds you don't get that with a flat a smartphone um youtube or anything like that you're this touchy feely texture of worn paper sometimes it smells a bit musty like a book shop almost and and then sliding it out and making sure we don't touch it um you know we always used our thumb and our third finger which was in the hole in the middle and we'd balance it because we we were we knew how to hold a vinyl record that's what you'd do you don't touch the final with your with your mucky fingers covered in chips or whatever it was you just ate i mean any food is bad really um so i really like that idea you know the ritual of um taking every time you you know something really exciting is going to happen and you have a ritual that takes you to it so this ritual becomes part of it and it becomes something evocative of nostalgia of happiness i mean music and happiness are so entwined hence the the beats minister of course as i am the beats minister so working for the beats ministry no less um so i'm thinking about doing that i think it'll be really nice but that's not what i'm here to talk about although it does bring me to um to discuss this the ritual and when if you work on a stand-up station well there's romeo tucking into his lunch which i unfortunately is right at my feet um if you make a habit when you're standing up to work on your computer of just moving so even if it's just going from side to side as i am onto that onto one leg and then you can just swing your arms a bit now i'm right in front of a window it's an idyllic little spot very green um there are houses i know that there are people living people that feels really nice i mean i obviously had like lots of fields in a sort of constable style landscape equally if not more however we can't have everything we want but there's lots of greenery there are blossoms on trees um or flowers i don't suppose they're blossoms are they but whatever they are they're the gardens are very well kept they're are daisies i love daisies don't you there's a lawn and daisies that's really nice um so i realized i'm sort of lucky there there are also some cats which romeo loves to watch he's obsessed with the cats the neighbors now romeo is a house cat and he's has no interest in um leaping over the balcony it's all he can muster to jump onto my bed to be honest and he's always quite indignant that he's had to do that i think persians are quite often a bit lazy um so he loves just watching we've got a glass um balcony so you can see through it and he just sits there and he just watches and watches and there's a dog one of the neighbors has a dog too and um he's always fascinated with that sometimes he makes noises as if to say you you watch your step matey because i'm here and i'm gonna get you if you come near my flat that's fantastic um anyway so back to just our little warm-up for today so whatever you've got in store for today i'm going to start now just lifting my feet up a bit so if you do the lift slightly to the side you'll find that your hips rock automatically if you do them to the front this is go they're going for a walk thing which it has it's affecting different muscles and different pressures on the joints so you can do either i do a combination actually slightly to the side which is more of a ballet move and then walking on the spot now i've got an app on my phone which is really good counts my steps so if you've had a day where you really feel that you haven't done very much just hold your phone or put it in your pocket and go for an imaginary walk okay and your phone will tot up your steps and even if you can do you know 400 steps that would be really really good that would be a good amount you know um i mean you could keep your phone on you all day and and do the exercise uh you know when you're hoovering and when you're washing up and all of these things i suspect it would amount to quite a bit but you know it's a bit of a false um security thinking well i've i've done 100 steps going to the loo and back 20 times today um very weak bladder obviously but you know what i mean so i i i don't do that but if i feel that i need just a little bit of extra help i will um walk on the spot for for 10 to 15 minutes and you'll find it's quite tiring actually um it's amazing how much energy we use up just walking and you think surely that can't be good exercise but it's fantastic exercise and so i'm getting through quite a lot because i'm when i'm at the computer this new stand-up thing i've got um i'm i'm being very physical so i woke up this morning and made my coffee and i i felt the the slight discomfort you get when you've done some weight training um i did do a few weights yesterday i couldn't resist couldn't resist now today i'm not going to do any weights because you have to recover when you're doing sort of body sculpting which is my new thing i'm going to completely change the shape of my body um it's got far too flabby over locked down and because i mean it's not really because of that it's because i've been in bed for so long months months and months really years even um that i have no muscle formation left it's all disappeared so i'm going to do some body sculpting but i'm going to do it for older people like me 60 plus um or or anybody who just wants to do it in a different way a really umalmost a meditative way i guess really slowly um there's no need to race through your gym routine when you get to 60. we're not in a hurry anymore you know now i'm just doing this lovely movement now where i'm swaying my hips and pointing each hip alternately forwards and twisting my shoulders as well it's a really sexy move this is like um sultry you know and you can start bringing your hands up and you know like a spanish dancer but slowly slow spanish dancing some of these dances are better really when you sew them right down they're so slinky so turning your hands in a circle i'm rotating my hips alternately forwards and back forwards and back i'm doing it with my hands and now my shoulders and coming up to my shoulders and i'm getting close to finishing a warm-up this is a warm-up it's a warm-up for pre-exercise or a warm-up for the entire day and now i'm going to be doing a lot of bingo wings um broadcasts pretty soon and what i'm going to do is um i'm just setting up the studio actually today working on backdrops and things we're going to be doing exercises for the very elderly um sitting on a chair we'll start with the arm exercises and these are really very very simple exercises that you can do if you've got any disabilities from the waist down um but you know people who who have have to use a wheelchair tend to have if they're pushing them themselves they tend to have very strong arms anyway but this is primarily for you know when you get past a certain age i think because our grandparents were if they were alive after 60 it was incredible you know it was six years thought to be so old and we've so those are the people that we're marking our own successes by but we live much longer these days and we live much health healthier lives and we have the knowledge about how to perfect our bodies but i'm a stickler for this movement idea that you know if you just keep moving and your go-to situation is not sitting on a chair doing nothing it's very dangerous to sit on a chair doing
good morning internet welcome to royal clearance now i'm recording this on my phone actually normally i would i have a sort of tray with legs that you put breakfast on and that has my recording studio on a very expensive microphone and it's all rigged up but i just pop it over me because i've been suffering with this terrible terrible neck condition and it's been getting worse and worse and worse but today i've banned myself from using that well actually as of two days ago and if you're following the podcasts you'll know that it's made such an incredible difference to my life but um i thought well i really like having a chat to you guys and planning my day and talking about the weekend and talking about anything other you know other important things but i like doing that in bed so i'm doing it on the phone and um i'm not bent over it it's in my hand and it's just stationary and i suspect you can hear a difference because i've got a new post four poster bed and it's a bit lower than than the canopies the canopy on it is lower than the canopy was on the other one the other one was really um a sort of fashioned overhead kind of floating ceiling if you like with the canopy but this one is actually a you know it's a frame that's attached to the bed so i bought this from a company called wayfair and they offer to come and do it for you to put it together because it arrives in a box i mean absolutely incredible the box arrived and i thought that's very small a bit of a drama yesterday i had to put notes on the door with my phone number and things because the buzzers weren't working the intercoms anyway all sorted it was all sorted i needn't have stressed the signs worked and but both men delivery men very lovely men and they both said somebody let them in which was fantastic um anyway the bed arrived and i suppose it was about five four foot four and a half foot high maybe a bit higher yeah it's getting on for five foot high i suppose well the bed is a lot higher than that more like eight feet and i thought oh that's quite short i hope it's you know not going to be snow white's version anyway wayfair offered to put it up for you for 56 pounds but i'd read in a review a lady from england who'd said i pushed it out myself and i thought oh okay so it's female friendly and what i mean by female friendly is not too heavy because let's face it you know we we can't we can't boast extreme strength most of us when we can't do that i mean even you know um the the strongest woman will struggle if things are real ridiculously heavy but also ridiculously large and i was wondering if it was a two-person job well do you know what the hardest bit was opening the bloody box darlings because it was so i've got i've got a couple of beautiful shelves that i bought from wayfair about a year and a half ago and i can't get the box open it's been sitting in the penthouse waiting but now i know i sort of know what to do although this other box that i've got is stapled which was is just a bargain hello romeo um and uh anyway it took me ages to get the box open um i now used a butter knife and a sort of wedging motion and then it took me four hours darlings four hours of really physical work to get this bed up and but it can you hear the difference it's it's beautiful and i've done some of the drapes it's got an overhead red canopy red velvet it looks absolutely lush and it feels like a room within a room so you can leave all your troubles outside i mean i can see chaos because there are boxes the old bed i mean it looks like i've just moved in and so i've got to sort all that out today but again this is great stuff because it's physical work i'm doing all these things that are using my body and i feel so much better for it and now that i know that my body isn't riddled with arthritis or fibromyalgia now that i know most of my problems not all of them but most of them actually come from um rsi being bent over a computer or bent over drawing you know what i mean i used to get terrible pains after a portrait but now that i know that i'm free of the pain if i stand up um i feel as if i can do some body sculpting for us as if i can you know i mean this diet's really good this all protein diet i feel great on it i can't believe the difference between me now and me a week ago riddled with pain and not not thinking i could get to london with my cello look i don't think i will risk doing things like that because my body's really important to me and i think going to london at 60 years old with a cello is foolhardy i think you know there has to be sort of limits that you impose upon yourself and the struggle is real when you when you become a certain age and you've got to get on off trains and um you know you've got a big bloody cello to carry it there comes a point i think when you you have to say to yourself that could damage me and i'm not going to risk it do you see what i'm saying um and young people are hard to damage they really are i mean you're so robust when when one is young one is really um you know if you fall it doesn't really matter you just bounce back up again but if i fall i'll probably tear ligaments or break an ankle so all of these things you know i'm really considering them as a as a kind of um a life motto if you like or or something to live by quite like this idea of having things to live by and my my biggest thing to live by last week that struck me was um don't ask for what you can't have so don't ask people to do things for you that they they're not going to give you because they can't for whatever reason you know you're asking too much of them i'm not talking about things here i'm talking about um emotions mostly you know love um some people can't give you the love that you the attention and the love that you need from them i'm not talking about lovers here i'm talking about you know friendships um you know people really struggle to give of themselves especially when you know that what the mind the human mind is so traumatized all the time and it's so difficult and i'm really living by that now and i feel so much happier about it why should i have millions of friends who will do absolutely anything for me funnily enough i was reading one of my father's diaries yesterday and i just flipped through the pages really because i was looking at donating them to the war museum um because there he was in the navy and he was writing all these diaries um and i i opened up a page which said i turned up on their doorstep from london i used to i was a very messed up kid you know and i've been in an abusive relationship very abusive at 18. i mean he used to headbutt me and things it was awful really awful darlings and funnily enough i found a letter from him in the diary that i never received because he'd he used to come snivelling back after a violent outburst as they all do of course and my father kept the letter from me i found it in the diary it's fascinating um and i desperately wanted to be loved by that man as you know i was 18 i mean it was and i read this letter it was quite strange to read it after many years of understanding what violent men are and what they do um you know you're beautiful i can't live without you i was so stupid i can't believe i did that to you it really wasn't fair of me et cetera et cetera god you know i mean it wasn't the last time i did go back with him we were married actually officially married properly in a church and everything uh well no registry office rather um anyway my father had hidden that and i found it in the story but the other thing i found i read was just a little clip a little sentence which said that i've i've been disappointed with friends who wouldn't uh show you know they wouldn't stand by me or what i mean i don't know what the issue was i was probably homeless or something because i was in such a bad way and perhaps you know it was probably one of those times um my father had a very um there was something wrong with him he probably autistic i would say he couldn't understand people and he put upon people um his all-knowing but completely [ __ ] up idea of reality so you know he would say oh well this person you know my brother and i for example because there was a bit it said that my brother was just was upset that i came back and i told him that yesterday and he was really he looked visibly visibly upset about that and denied it um and i and i do think my father used to imagine that he i don't know if he's imagining them i mean his world order was very strange this is what it's like for autistic people you know they don't they don't understand other people's emotions at all they get it wrong constantly um but i think we all do don't we really we don't really know what what people are feeling inside how can you know how can you be you're not a mind reader you know and this ties in with asking people too much don't ask them too much anyway apparently i just turned up from london on the doorstep and i i wanted something but i didn't get it so i left or some such thing um and apparently i'd said that no none of my friends would stand by me now whether this was it probably was something about you know getting divorced or um one of my friends had um for want of a better work well it had a liaison with my husband which was pretty it was tough on me really tough on me because i was so young and 18. um but i forgave her immediately i mean her friendship was more important than in my marriage to be honest my marriage was a disaster um but deep down you know i've never really got over that i don't trust her still deep down you know um but funnily enough it took me another 30 years to realize that um actually she's not a particularly loyal friend but you know you can't ask you can't ask loyalty if it's impossible for somebody to give it to you and i think loyalty is a very hard thing to give a very hard thing to give so don't ask for it don't expect it don't ask don't expect people to stand b

#fitness #clothingline #clothing #wallart #designer #interiordesign #sarniadelamare #countess #countess_fashiona last note that was just a text to say that my fedex papers are on the way now fedex don't deliver four post beds so i'm waiting for the full poster bed to come and i'm also waiting for fedex to come because they have got all of my ordainment paperwork my certificate of ordainment and my certificate of name which is the reverend sarnia de la mare and well dylan mare actually i didn't put the um accent on i thought it'd be easier for people to say without um but there's no doorbell and i'm hoping that they can get in but i've had to put a sign up on two different doors we have two entrances here and the drawbar doesn't work on either of them it's like an intercom system rather it's not really a doorbell so oh i must keep moving i've almost stopped there goodness me um so i've uh i've had to put notices to say please text me because i don't get a signal and i noticed i was getting a bit stressed about it and the thing with um you know mental health if you've if you've already got sort of grumbling issues with mental health stress is probably a trigger for anxiety and i thought oh i am getting anxious that you know something will go wrong with my bed then i thought what can go wrong they're not going to burn your bed or burn your paperwork i've put notices on the door i've done what i can if there seems to be an issue at some point for example neither arrive by the end of the day i've paid some money but i will they're very um you know registered proper businesses i think that the difficulty is when you've you know bought something from charlatan um but i don't ever do that and i don't recommend that you do that actually i want my hands on my hips now and i'm starting to um transfer weight onto either leg and i'm just bouncing that feels quite nice but i keep moving it's nice so i'm bouncing on one leg transferring weight bouncing on the other leg transferring weight bouncing on the other end it's quite good isn't it it's quite a good way to get i'm sort of bending my knee as i do it that's rather fair above quite like that um anyway let's uh let's finish off i'll stop waffling on i think because i need a cup of coffee so let's just finish with some really lovely stretches we've done a wonderful warm-up and uh it took quite a while didn't it so while we stretch we'll talk about getting rid of anxiety don't dwell on things the the could be with the what-ifs because it's the what-ifs that give you the most anxiety i want you to just take one of your arms up over your head cro glo grasp it grasp your elbow with the other hand and just pull down bend your bend your torso to one side giving it a little nudge with that um hand on your elbow can you do that and that's just going to stretch everything out ready for the day and then stand up straight oh that was quite strange han elbow overhead you can you can pull your hand actually that works quite nicely and just pull your hand so that your torso is bending to the side and give it a few bounces and really stretch and hold it there for a minute actually can you feel where the the muscles are just stretching nicely don't do it too much and stand up again oh that was very nice now if you take your head put your hand on your head but slightly over it and just pull your head down so that it touches your shoulder your ear towards your shoulder and just pull that a little bit with your hand and just hold it there for a minute and then if you turn your head to look up while you're doing that you'll feel another muscle being stretched now this is one that we do for cello when we play cello well any instrument actually because when you play an instrument your neck can get very very stiff it was just let's see what that isit's another another notification saying my parcels are out for delay for delivery so i'm not being stressed even though i've been disturbed three times now while i've been recording our stretching and movement class so i'm just going to put my hand on the other side of my head on the using the other arm and i'm just going to pull that down so that my ear touches my shoulder if you can't touch your shoulder don't worry about it just hold it there for a bit and you know what the what ifs the worrying you know what happens if i lose my bed or what happens if i lose my credentials for my ministerial position don't think about the what-ifs think about well nothing terrible is going to happen it'll just be slightly delayed oh now turn your head and look up to the ceiling can you feel that in your neck wow i can really feel it today because i did all these yesterday as well so let's just go up into our straight position oh very good now let's stretch those ligaments a bit on our thighs if you hold hold on to something for safety and on the opposite hand hold your foot behind you so that your heels touching your bum and just pull it just pull it as tight as you can and you bend the other knee lean slightly forward now this is quite a difficult one and if you're very elderly i wouldn't recommend it unless somebody's there to help you and let's swap sidesand just stretch that out but if you're young like me which is only 60 hopefully you'll be able to do this now if you are really struggling with movement i suggest that you start a water class because water is really really gentle when we do all these movements and you won't hurt yourself and i certainly don't recommend that you suddenly start you know running up and down the garden path if you've been in bed for 20 years that would be disastrous okay so i think that's enough fitness for today and well for this morning to prepare us i'll be doing another one later a little bit more advanced because we're working on bingo wings and baggy bottoms so we'll be doing that later i might call it the bingo wings and baggy bottom class um for fun and uh also to get um attention because um there were a lot of fitness people and they they all want attention actually i've honestly i've picked some really really good ones and put them on the site and that they come on my playlist which means you don't get any adverts but so that's over at telltale club um you have to sort of have a hunt around for it but if you just put keep fit into the uh into the search box there you should you should find it quite easily so i'll be back later and have a great day
Welcome to keep fit with the Reverend.now when it comes to block prints japanese block prints um the there are plenty around there's a company called fuji i think it's fuji who uh in america and they do auctions and um sort of basically what they've what they do is they've brought up hundreds and thousands and millions or imported or whatever of of the books because most block prints were book illustrations originally and they've separated them and then they're selling them off um and the cheapest one i think is about the equivalent of 14 or 15 pounds um so this is one that i bought um i want really i just wanted to see what the standard was like and i got it quite cheaply and the reason i got it cheaply cheap rather is because it's it's got quite a bit of damage um as you can see up there it's very very flimsy as they they all were because they're on rice paper um now the first thing to notice is when if it's a a decent block print or an original block print it will have come through the inks the pigments would have come through to the other side so so that's one way to know it's genuine at least um this one is probably uh genuine but it looks like it's been mounted on another piece of paper and it's completely lost its value because of that but i think this was a freebie that they they sent me or some there was something um that i got uh some sort of discount on it or whatever um it's got the the signature there and and the title and what have you but it's and actually if you were a cook um i think this would be quite a nice gift so really i wanted to copy them um you know take prints of them and and use them on my on my merchandise so it doesn't didn't really matter to me if they were in in poor shape because i can put them through my editors and and sort them out um and this one i paid a bit more for and i think i bought this one on katawiki which is a european auction site and i just really liked him he's a samurai warrior and i i just i loved his feet aren't they glorious they're really special the colors are great this has been protected you know for a long time but it is very very fragile so i'm intending to get a frame for that one um and and have that in in my bedroom um now i have got another one uh which is an erotic one which i'll show you in the next film it's it's terribly rude and um i might have to put my finger over certain bits and bobs um as for being a collector you know i've i love art but i'm not going to be a slave to collecting because there are so many rip-off merchants out there unless i came by a job lot at an auction where perhaps somebody didn't know what what they had or a book of block prints and they were still together and i felt that it was appropriate to separate them um you know other than that i'm not going to spend any more money what i have done with this one actually is i've used i've copied the illustration photographed it and i've used it on a dress and it they make wonderful textile patterns they really do they're quite superb they you know the clarity is lovely um and in my software i i blackened the blacks um and and you know made um made the colors a little bit flatter because for textiles you don't necessarily want you know all these um watered areas you want flat colors for clarity really but for for copying an artwork where you're trying to you know copy the original as exactly as you possibly can then you would include all those you wouldn't necessarily um try to alter it to make it look like a modern print in fact quite the opposite i would say um so we'll be cut we'll be covering how i'm going to go about um framing them uh so safely now actually well i might as well do it here while i've got you here so this is my erotic one which i bought on wiki um catawiki and um i just loved it i paid about i think about 200 pounds or something i mean it was very expensive but i i bid on about five and i only got this one um so maybe a bit less than a bit about 100 and something and then i had to pay an awful lot deliveries 30 to 40 pounds delivery and so it mounted up um but as you can see i mean actually i mean you can't see much can you you can't really see much at all um and there were some that i was bidding on which were really very pornographic but this is very tame isn't it really i i like her a little bit of bush poking out there it's quite nice isn't it um i love it i think this is a remarkable example of highly collectible erotic block prints brock printing now you'll notice it doesn't seem to have a signature on it which you know is unusual for block prints but if we go on the back we can see that it's um it's all coming through and i would say probably with no signature that's likely to be a more modern block print and you know it may be that um it's less valuable because of that um i haven't really looked into it and as i say i bought it because i really liked it um no other reason um so the final one oh i haven't got it here actually i bought i did purchase a very very beautiful um modern uh chinese japanese actually do you know what i'll pause this and i'll go and get it okay so this one is very pornographic now but this is on silk and i paid quite a lot of money for this i again i absolutely adore it probably quite modern um i just love i love silk anyway um so you can see the quality there um beautiful piece of of silk fabric that the colors are so rich and exciting i i suspect that's quite modern um really rude totally naturally pornographic um but beautiful isn't that beautiful i'm really proud of that and you can see how big it is it's pretty large um not the well is the organ large it's quite large but you know in terms of um overall size and scape um so that's going to be a really really exciting thing to um to frame up but i also bought this which i i can't undo properly but it as you can see it's absolutely massive um it's about 36 inches i think and this is a contemporary piece by a contemporary artist and i find this i mean it's so exotic and beautiful i love the birds and the flowers the way they're just there's nothing i don't like about this um painting it's hard for me to open so again it's round and um i'm going to let me try and open it there look i mean those flowers are just lush aren't they i mean what a great piece of art so this this is definitely a boudoir style painting because the the it's the voluptuous petals and stamens they're so sexy flowers are sexy aren't they um and when you see all those sexy stamens and and all that pollen you know you think automatically of reproduction don't you and and then these lush petals and of course you you know when you when you when you're seducing people you give them flowers and flowers are synonymous with seduction and sex um so for for me that makes them perfect for the boudoir actually um now what's this one uh oh right yes this one as well i mean i've got so much art that i've discovered todaywhich again is uh for my boudoir and this is a contemporary artist um i think korean actually um my dealer told me um and i absolutely adore this as well um unfortunately i'm unable to unravel it but you did see some boobies there um so again you know the beautiful i mean i've got a nude up there so the the female form and and sex i think aren't represented depicting those things are really suited for the boudoir rather than you know the living room i mean people tend not to walk through your your bedroom do they you know they tend to walk come into your hallway in your lounge and the bedroom is sort of private space and of course the bedroom is a place of seduction isn't it um you know for most of us it represents some somewhere where we make children and we seduce people and um for that reason you know it's important to select the right art i would say um so hopefully when all this is up and uh we've decorated the boudoir the full poster bed comes tomorrow and hopefully we'll get these framed up and you'll see what i mean about you know when you walk in i mean it's fantastic isn't it to walk in somewhere and feel horny straight away because you know and we're not targeting anybody like this and we're not objectifying anybody we're just feeling the sensuality and the erotic sort of fire within looking at a painting i mean you know and this is very it's actually very classy very classy because it was expensive art that's the only reason no of course it's not you know if i had um if i was a teenage boy and i had you know pictures of women draped naked over cars that wouldn't be the same it'd be a completely different thing you know this art and this pawn and there there is a difference there's a fine art difference and it's about placement it's about framing it's about um the attitude the way it's displayed if you've got too much of it it's going to look horrific of course it is but if you have one or two and then you you know they're in amongst the landscape you know you're not a dirty old woman or a dirty old man um although you have to check you know first of course you did um so there we go that's my little uh little lecture on erotic art and what it means to me um as a collector

really liked him he's a samurai warrior and i i just i loved his feet aren't they glorious they're really special the colors are great this has been protected you know for a long time but it is very very fragile so i'm intending to get a frame for that one um and and have that in in my bedroom um now i have got another one uh which is an erotic one which i'll show you in the next film it's it's terribly rude and um i might have to put my finger over certain bits and bobs um as for being a collector you know i've i love art but i'm not going to be a slave to collecting because there are so many rip-off merchants out there unless i came by a job lot at an auction where perhaps somebody didn't know what what they had or a book of block prints and they were still together and i felt that it was appropriate to separate them um you know other than that i'm not going to spend any more money what i have done with this one actually is i've used i've copied the illustration photographed it and i've used it on a dress and it they make wonderful textile patterns they really do they're quite superb they you know the clarity is lovely um and in my software i i blackened the blacks um and and you know made um made the colors a little bit flatter because for textiles you don't necessarily want you know all these um watered areas you want flat colors for clarity really but for for copying an artwork where you're trying to you know copy the original as exactly as you possibly can then you would include all those you wouldn't necessarily um try to alter it to make it look like a modern print in fact quite the opposite i would say um so we'll be cut we'll be covering how i'm going to go about um framing them uh so safely now actually well i might as well do it here while i've got you here so this is my erotic one which i bought on wiki um catawiki and um i just loved it i paid about i think about 200 pounds or something i mean it was very expensive but i i bid on about five and i only got this one um so maybe a bit less than a bit about 100 and something and then i had to pay an awful lot deliveries 30 to 40 pounds delivery and so it mounted up um but as you can see i mean actually i mean you can't see much can you you can't really see much at all um and there were some that i was bidding on which were really very pornographic but this is very tame isn't it really i i like her a little bit of bush poking out there it's quite nice isn't it um i love it i think this is a remarkable example of highly collectible erotic block prints brock printing now you'll notice it doesn't seem to have a signature on it which you know is unusual for block prints but if we go on the back we can see that it's um it's all coming through and i would say probably with no signature that's likely to be a more modern block print and you know it may be that um it's less valuable because of that um i haven't really looked into it and as i say i bought it because i really liked it um no other reason um so the final one oh i haven't got it here actually i bought i did purchase a very very beautiful um modern uh chinese japanese actually do you know what i'll pause this and i'll go and get it okay so this one is very pornographic now but this is on silk and i paid quite a lot of money for this i again i absolutely adore it probably quite modern um i just love i love silk anyway um so you can see the quality there um beautiful piece of of silk fabric that the colors are so rich and exciting i i suspect that's quite modern um really rude totally naturally pornographic um but beautiful isn't that beautiful i'm really proud of that and you can see how big it is it's pretty large um not the well is the organ large it's quite large but you know in terms of um overall size and scape um so that's going to be a really really exciting thing to um to frame up but i also bought this which i i can't undo properly but it as you can see it's absolutely massive um it's about 36 inches i think and this is a contemporary piece by a contemporary artist and i find this i mean it's so exotic and beautiful i love the birds and the flowers the way they're just there's nothing i don't like about this um painting it's hard for me to open so again it's round and um i'm going to let me try and open it there look i mean those flowers are just lush aren't they i mean what a great piece of art so this this is definitely a boudoir style painting because the the it's the voluptuous petals and stamens they're so sexy flowers are sexy aren't they um and when you see all those sexy stamens and and all that pollen you know you think automatically of reproduction don't you and and then these lush petals and of course you you know when you when you when you're seducing people you give them flowers and flowers are synonymous with seduction and sex um so for for me that makes them perfect for the boudoir actually um now what's this one uh oh right yes this one as well i mean i've got so much art that i've discovered todaywhich again is uh for my boudoir and this is a contemporary artist um i think korean actually um my dealer told me um and i absolutely adore this as well um unfortunately i'm unable to unravel it but you did see some boobies there um so again you know the beautiful i mean i've got a nude up there so the the female form and and sex i think aren't represented depicting those things are really suited for the boudoir rather than you know the living room i mean people tend not to walk through your your bedroom do they you know they tend to walk come into your hallway in your lounge and the bedroom is sort of private space and of course the bedroom is a place of seduction isn't it um you know for most of us it represents some somewhere where we make children and we seduce people and um for that reason you know it's important to select the right art i would say um so hopefully when all this is up and uh we've decorated the boudoir the full poster bed comes tomorrow and hopefully we'll get these framed up and you'll see what i mean about you know when you walk in i mean it's fantastic isn't it to walk in somewhere and feel horny straight away because you know and we're not targeting anybody like this and we're not objectifying anybody we're just feeling the sensuality and the erotic sort of fire within looking at a painting i mean you know and this is very it's actually very classy very classy because it was expensive art that's the only reason no of course it's not you know if i had um if i was a teenage boy and i had you know pictures of women draped naked over cars that wouldn't be the same it'd be a completely different thing you know this art and this pawn and there there is a difference there's a fine art difference and it's about placement it's about framing it's about um the attitude the way it's displayed if
