This time around Michael sat alone to voice his thoughts. The center of this episode is the idea of shaping your life accordingly with your vision! Michael elaborates in great detail taking his personal experiences as well as society as the basis of the argument. How you could develop a set of actions that look ever so significant now, however they will work wonders in the future. The debate of doing tomorrow's work, because today's work was taken care by yesterday you. Simple as that!
" I met Dorald (a.k.a Dóce) back in Uni, as we contemplated life and the fact that we both were taking Algebra for the 2nd time! More than 7 years have passed since then and we still up to the same old same. On this episode Dóce vents about his corporate job, office politics, vision for the future, the system that helps him stay sane in the midst of all this, as well as the days where we used to run the Student Union Office.  Furthermore, you'll understand the importance of punctuation and intonation as soon as we jump into this episode. Safe to say we ain't never growing up!! "
" On this episode, i had the pleasure of catching up with Caitlin, or as i call her Davis. Caitlin is one those people who loves to challenge the odds and aim for the stars. Her mindset and determination has lead her to become the Director of Global User Experience Strategy at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. Join our conversation as we back track her career, life in NYC, the move to Mexico City, the laptop lifestyle, as well as a passion for Mexican cuisine. "-Mike
" Hey Guys! This time around i thought to do something different. In order to give you a broader view into who i am, i thought it would be a nice change of pace to have  casual sit-downs with my best friends (one at a time 'coz they're a lot to handle xP). This is a mini-series inside the podcast, where i have the pleasure to introduce you to my friend group and share some of the memories we've made throughout the years. Starting up with Gerta, a.k.a The Professor! We met back in Uni and it was totally random. Fast forward the next semester, i walk into class to find out that my friend was actually the professor.  Safe to say i had a blast in that classroom!! Join our conversation as we go through all the memories we've made, hopes and dreams for the future, as well as a joke gone horribly wrong!! "
#11 - What if... ?!

#11 - What if... ?!

2022-03-2020:49

In Michael's words: "What if I had taken a different path that one time? Life's all about jumping when you're most scared, otherwise, you'll find yourself stuck in the same place, doing the same old same. That is that really how you wanna spend your days here? I certainly don't ... "
Humble as always (not), Michael talks on about his international experiences and his many career changes.  Anywhere from Sales to Marketing, Finance and most recently, the Tech business! If you ever so slightly considered a change in your career, this might just be the episode you're looking for!!
When we started this journey, never, in our wildest dreams,  would we think we would be producing an episode about an on-going war, just a short flight away from our studio. On the 24th of February 2022, Russian forces launched a full scale attack on Ukrainian soil. This week, Michael sat down with Ms. Alina Padun, a Ukrainian national, on the frontlines. Her personal stories, on receiving the first text about the attacks, to saving 60 children from an orphanage, and finding shelter for them in Poland, as well as her views on the Russian - Ukrainian war will break your heart.
Unlike the other ones, this episode finds Michael opening up about his life principles and morals that guide him into the future. Unfiltered thoughts and a story of how one can easily get side-tracked and lose his way, just to find out how to build himself back up. In Michael's words "The aftermath is biblical!"
Last Sunday, Michael passed by the spot after his snowboarding vacation. We caught up over coffee and stupid jokes about his sunburn... to which he answered: "It's not a sunburn, its a tan, however, I F-ed up...  Learn from my mistakes lads."After the right amount of caffeine, Michael proceeds to elaborate more on his trip to the Andorran mountains. Anything from the freezing cold, waiting 1h45min for a taxi, running around trying to find snow clothes (coz obviously he was underprepared),  to falling countless times on his ass, a lot of Spanish wine, and an intellectual debate with his snowboarding instructor... yeah, that was a funny one! We're certain Michael was dropped as a baby. No doubt about it.

#6 - Mr. Skerdi Sino

2022-02-0750:52

This is a special episode! Michael sits down with one of his childhood best friends. Nowadays a Journalist as well as the CEO of a Digital Advertising Agency, Mr. Sino does it all. Reminiscing on the past, inappropriate jokes, the Balkan Theory, view's on today's society, as well as future aspirations. 'Twas  a late evening and drinks were involved...This oughta be a good one!!
This week’s guest is a spicy one…hell, this episode is a spicy one! Ms. Bianca joins Michael and the conversation on the topic of flirting, sexting & dating… she does not stop there. Stories, tips and tricks on how she goes about her life as a single woman in a big city. Now let me ask you this: “What do a barista, the downstairs neighbor, & a guy who works right down the road from you, have in common”? Well, Bianca sure knows the answer…
This time around, Michael tells the story of music. Anything from when some priests gathered around in the year 500 and started to "freestyle",  all the way to the 1800s, the piano and mad parties with white wigs and pointy posh shoes. The Beatles, Don McLean, NWA, 2Pac & Biggie... How they paved the road that elevated today's music to these standards. Join Michael on this episode, as he breaks down the process of  listening to a song, as an ex-musician. Good times indeed!

#3 - Eridijola Biba

2022-01-1240:45

This morning I had the pleasure of sitting down and having my coffee with a friend. Ms. Eridijola Biba, an interesting character I first met during my university days. With an international background, and qualifications in Political Science & International Relationships, she’s currently involved at the Greek Embassy in Tirana, Albania. Given that  Eridjola spent her early stages of life in Greece, with an Albanian origin, I'd say that she is perfectly qualified to serve as a bridge between the countries. Join our conversation as we get into our morning coffee, debates about society, her dreams of becoming Prime Minister in the future, as well as a relationship guru!
On this here episode, Michael takes a run down memory lane. A normal person would keep on describing this magical time of the year, in it's purest form. Not our Michael. He specifically enjoys the holidays through trolling weird traditions from Xmas songs such as "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" to childhood stories about 6 buckets of paint, fireworks & a chubby kid with a knack for adventure. "No idea how I made it alive this far guys!"( Get in touch --> themichaelcassopodcast@gmail.com )
Michael starts rambling on and on about his stories in the Greek island of Mykonos over the past 3 years, while having his morning coffee. Under personal comment: " There is a priest that goes around the island, every week, blessing the water supply... I KNOW RIGHT?!! "
