Joda Quigley competed in the first ever HYROX in the U.K. alongside husband John. Since those early days Joda launched GIRLCODE BOX which has been helping athletes discover and compete in HYROX for over two years. Sarah Holden returns to the show to discuss the ups and downs of the last 12 months. After struggling with a calf injury late last season, Sarah’s health took a turn for the worse in October 2023 when she discovered she had a pulmonary embolism (PE). PE is a serious and sometimes fatal health condition. We discuss with Sarah the circumstances leading up to discovering the PE, her recovery and her return to racing at HYROX Glasgow. We also chat about what’s next for her and how she got on with the Crossfit Open. Harry was born with Cerebral Palsy affecting all four limbs, however that has stopped him pushing his limits and competing in sports. Alongside his coach Jay, he recently successfully completed HYROX Manchester. We discuss his journey, how the HYROX went and also what HYROX is like as an adaptive athlete. The Fitness Racing Space has exploded in recent years due to the rise of HYROX and DEKAFIT amongst others. Since 2022, Sofia has concentrated on ultra runs and Britt has moved into the weightlifting space. Lessons learned as a Young HYROX Elite – Lucy Procter This week we are joined by Lucy Procter. Despite only being 20 years old Lucy has quickly moved up the ranks of the HYROX Women’s Pro Scene.
