For their Leadership Triangle Regional 2023 graduation program project, five cohort members decided they wanted to shine a light on a topic not often discussed: black women's health. To learn more about the issue, a combination of team members attended ⁠A Better Wake⁠ Town Halls: Health Equity Town Hall at Apex Senior Center on April 11, 2023, had a conversation with ⁠Aya Birth & Community Wellness⁠ team members on April 17, 2023, via Zoom, and visited ⁠HIstoric Stagville⁠ on April 21, 2023, for a guided tour. In Episode 51, ⁠Chrissy Sailstad⁠ and ⁠Titilayo Somorin⁠ share their insights on the history of health disparities and team member's experience visiting Historic Stagville, "a state historic site that includes the the remnants of the one of the largest plantations in North Carolina." You also have the opportunity to hear from all team members in the introduction about who they are and why this topic is important to them.
