Øystein Pettersen is a retired Norwegian cross-country skier, television personality, and podcast host. Born on January 19, 1983, in Linderud, Pettersen competed professionally in cross-country skiing from 2002 to 2019, achieving six World Cup podiums and winning a gold medal with Petter Northug in the team sprint event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.Pettersen was also one of three Norwegians to reach the six-man final in the Individual Sprint at the same Olympics. In 2020, he participated in the celebrity edition of the Norwegian TV show, 71° Nord, and in 2021, he was a contestant on Mesternes Mester.Besides his achievements in winter sports, Pettersen hosts his own podcast, called Skipodden.
