A letter was sent to Dr. Danto, a psychologist, and the author is asking for him to respond in code in the newspapers. One message stated, “Pray it doesn’t snow,” and the response should be, “The trees bloom in three weeks,” in order to escape suspicion of the accomplice purporting to be willing to turn in the suspect that has made him a slave. As with most of Zodiac’s crimes, he predicted who was next and sometimes when. Continue with the FOIA files from Cathy Broad on the Oakland County Child Killer in the case of Mark Stebbins. Jack’s whereabouts in Cotton, Minnesota are confirmed with a permit request for dynamite. Jack is within driving distance of the Michigan murders and his wife has family in the Michigan area as well. We see Jack selling property and cars. Zodiac Killer is silent previous to Jack’s exit from California. The Oakland County Child Murders begin in January 1976 when Jack would be scouting Cotton, MN, to move the family to in spring 1976. Jack moves to North Highlands, California, and is still fighting for his benefits, but takes a job at Cameron Park Shell that doesn’t last but a few months before he leaves on a Work Comp Claim. Doctors say he seems fit for work, but that is not on Jack’s agenda. Last murder is November 1974 and last communication was December 1974 as well.
