Physical activity can be a means towards personal growth and overall well being. Ignite You(r) Life podcast works to provide insights into how that happens by interviewing various athletes coaches, martial artists, and others with expertise in the psychology of performance.

Ignite Your Life is a new podcast from Sport Psychologist Dr. Peder Piering. Each episode is dedicated to making the intangibles of personal and performance excellence tangible.

By interviewing athletes Dr. Piering will delve into the psychological aspects of peak performance. From character development and confidence to overcoming obstacles and adversity, this podcast will give you insights from various athletes and coaches with a wealth of expertise.

As a clinical and sport psychologist for over 15 years Dr. Piering has worked and learned from 1000's of athletes. During that time he has developed a psychology of excellence that helps athletes gain the competitive edge.

Dr. Piering received his black belt in Taekwondo and during that journey he learned the action philosophy of Taekwondo. Inspired, Dr. Piering wrote a book that brings together his personal psychology of excellence with the Taekwondo philosophy of action. This book is called "Master Mental Toughness."

Mr. Greg Heal is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a very talented artist, and author of the book Heritage - Sky Jewel Legacy. Most recently he has become the host of the My Disney Addiction Podcast. Today we discuss how the martial arts have influenced his creative side.
Today we feature Mrs. Mary Rogers. She is a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She started her training at age 63. U.S. Special Operations Command hosted the 2019 Department of Defense (DoD) Warrior Games this past June in Tampa Bay, Florida. Approximately 300 wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans participated in the competition. Competitors include active military service members and veterans with upper-body, lower-body, and spinal cord injuries; traumatic brain injuries; visual impairment; serious illnesses; and post-traumatic stress. Samery Moras is a former US Team competitor. Her various athletic accomplishments include being a 6-time US Collegiate National Champion & Team Member in Olympic-style Sparring and traveling all over the world winning International titles. She began her YouTube career by taking videos of her travel adventures while at overseas competitions. She now has one of the largest Taekwondo channels on YouTube where she shares her passion of Taekwondo through tutorials, training tips, and Taekwondo vlogs.
Our guest today is Coach Craig Haase. He has been the Head Coach of the Varsity Boy's Basketball Team at Arrowhead High School for 19 years. In that time he has lead his teams to over 300 wins, six Classic 8 Conference championships, ten WIAA regional championships, three WIAA Final Four appearances, one WIAA Runner Up in 2017, and one WIAA State Championship in 2010.
