This week we have some Phat Action with Mike and Bill. That sounds inappropriate and maybe it is.
Mike started off with his reading and it was about higher powers, and egos and allowing things to happen. But also doing the work. It was a good reading and a good conversation.
We did a wrap up of last weekend in Cleveland, talked about Tennessee and Bill Clinton. What? Yes, Bill Clinton.
A little more about Rob Halford, a movie where a guy had a drinking problem, some work stuff and some nonsense. Lot's of that.

This week we are in Cleveland! It's our anniversary weekend extravaganza. And... we had some technology issues, so hang in with us.
The funny part is that Mike's reading was about control. And lack of control. We had that with the recording and we have had that in life.
Then it was a book wrap up, the journey verses the destination, technology and recovery, things that make us better, The Steps, being hopeless and some random nonsense.

Yay! It's us again! Yep, Mike and Bill and we got through an entire episode with no "real" technology issues.
Mike started off with a reading about old behavior. Blaming others, denial and just being people that we don't want to be today. It was a great conversation.
He also did a recap of the Keating Center event from last weekend and we talked about the easiest way to give back in early sobriety, or at any time.
A couple of listener comments, bitching about other podcasts, a fun news story, loving ourselves and others and practicing kindness.

This week we have... more technical difficulties.
It's Mike and Bill and we are still dealing with some delay issues, but oh well.
We started out with a couple of announcements and then Mike did his reading. It was about guilt and shame and as always, it was a good conversation.
Then a little trip down memory lane and the last 30 days before we got sober. We are both grateful to be on this side of things now.
The Promises came to mind and we spent a little time reading through them and talking about them. Mike even has a favorite Promise.
Bill complained a little bit and then the technology got the best of us, so we wrapped up.

Mike started out with his reading and it was about giving and not taking. What we used to be and thankfully what we are now. It was a good conversation.

Then Mike had another reading from a social media post. It was about will vs. self will and willingness. It was from an unexpected source and it got both of us thinking.

Mike started off with his reading and it was all about service. Doing things for other people and our lives get better. Imagine that.
Then a brief conversation about atheism. There is a reading in the 24 Hour Book every year and we talked about it. Mike is an atheist and Bill is at best agnostic, so it was a good conversation.
And we received some bad news this week. A very close friend of ours killed himself. He was around us from day one in our sobriety and he was a huge influence on us. It sucks and it's tragic, but we talked through it.
We wrapped up with a couple of nonsensical things and that was that.

We talked about judging people, the first time people drank, the easier, softer way, being a prick on purpose, risky places and the worst day sober verses the best day drinking.
We also reflected a little bit on the past 2 years, since our 2 year Podcast Anniversary is coming up this week.

This is Episode 100! Woohooo!
It's just us this week and Mike started out with his reading.
It was about this new life we have versus the old life that we thankfully left behind. We have the gift of choice and the ability to live an authentic life these days.
Then we talked about a new job and the stress of the job search. It all works out and in it's own time.
We looked back briefly at some of our episodes and mainly just talked about the fact that we are still here, doing this thing every week and that in itself is pretty cool.
