Brigitte Aphrodite is a neurodiverse punk poet, musician, writer, theatre-maker and intersectional feminist show-woman from Kent. She makes genre-crossing, status-quo defying, passionate multidisciplinary work which is free from pretension, is anti-hierarchical and aims to be accessible to all. During Brigitte’s formative years she toured extensively as a musician, alongside artists such as Kate Nash and Josie Long. Jemima Foxtrot is a writer, theatre-maker, performer and musician who creates and performs extensively nationally and internationally. She has written several works for the stage as well as poetry commissions including for the BBC, Channel 4, and the Tate. Caroline Teague is a London born and bred poet based in Brighton, who writes on grief, identity and how they come to terms with some harrowing realities of being human and being alive, in a style they term ‘tragic optimism’, hoping that the honesty through their writing can translate into something positive and comforting for someone else. They are the creator of the musical project ‘Caroline Smiling’ which blends music, spoken word and illustration to creatively communicate ideas around mental health and queer identity. Joshua Idehen is a British-born Nigerian based in Sweden. A spoken word artist and musician, he has contributed poems to Mercury-nominated albums ‘Channel The Spirits’ by The Comet Is Coming, ‘Your Queen Is A Reptile’ and the Mobo winning "Black Is The Future", both by Sons of Kemet. More recently, he formed Calabashed with Alabaster DePlume, a spiritual jazz crew who were recently named a 2021 one-to-watch by NME, and worked with LA electronic maestro Daedelus on the critically acclaimed mini LP, "Holy Water Over Sons". Chris Redmond is a writer, performer and musician whose work often focuses on cross-media collaboration. A regular at UK music and literature festivals, he has performed on BBC Radio One, BBC Radio Four, Sky Arts, BBC Scotland's Culture Show and Scroobius Pip's XFM show The Beatdown. Chris is the creator and host of Tongue Fu, where poets, comedians and storytellers perform with improvised music and films. Malaika Kegode is a writer, performer and producer based in Bristol. In 2020, Malaika’s debut theatre show ‘Outlier’ was commissioned by Bristol Old Vic, and is also available in book format now. Malaika has been performing with folk inspired prog-rock band Jakabol since 2018. Together they have performed at music venues and theatre venues alike – bringing a unique and exciting blend of poetry and music to diverse audiences. Malaika’s work tells of how we can find beauty and hope through the darkness. Her overall themes of family, mental health, addiction and love always have an undercurrent of optimism and strength. Her performance style has been described as “filmic” and “musical”. Genevieve Carver is a writer, performer and arts educator . Her first collection, A Beautiful Way to be Crazy, was published by Verve Poetry Press in 2020.
