Description
Two hip and cool young guys talk about being Christians and staying Christians. Gavin Hobbs is your average homeschooled computer-nerd/wannabe-cinematographer and Eli Chamley is a guitar-playing space nerd who hopes to one day be as great a novelist as C.S. Lewis. Together these two misfits hope their discussions about Jesus and space will encourage other members of the faith to keep on keeping on. (Spoiler Alert: They're not hip and cool)

Give us more space
Gavin blabbers on and Eli offers his thoughts on Gavin's blabbering. Just another episode.
It's been a while... but maybe that's because we've been resting... definitely not procrastinating on editing.
If you've ever really wanted to tell people about your crazy dreams, we're right there with you. They're strange and we really don't know a lot about them for some reason.
In this episode, Gavin and Eli actually researched dream research and brought you science facts as well as biblical parallels and theories.
Eli and Gavin have a "brief talk" on how they came to follow God, why they still follow him, and some of the things they've learned along the way... because they've obviously learned a lot and are basically experts on the matter. Listen or watch. Or don't. It's up to you.

Thank you all so much for sticking with us (unless you don't, in which case good riddance) as we pivot to a hopefully new style of podcasting. - Eli & Gavin
Science continuously changes...as does this podcast--we hope.
In this sciencey episode, Gavin talks about how we aren't ever really sure apart from God, Eli talks about Jon Steingard and deconstruction but mostly about how God isn't always who we think he is. Gavin discusses worship and how good it is, Eli brings 3 things that make him believe in God, Gavin brings Acts 9 and Eli talks about how some things are better in less quantity.
In this foreshadowing episode, Eli talks about the application of faith, Gavin explains how he feels opposition, Eli brings a verse about working for God, Gavin and Eli talk about feelings again and about cleaning the house, Eli brings insight from a conversation about Jeremiah and God, Gavin brings the Acts Segment, and Eli brings a message from Billy Graham.
Here's the video Gavin filmed for Paul Pavao talking about suffering:

You should listen to it--it's good.
In this seaworthy episode, Gavin and Eli discuss how the tongue acts as a rudder to the ship, how we can mistakenly take a piece of a God-given thing and it is not the whole, wonderful novelty, how when we are actually moving forward with God, we're bound to make waves, and Gavin brings more on Stephen in Acts.
In this mighty fine episode, Gavin and Eli talk about how Jesus treated the disciples, Gavin brings a reminder for himself (but also us), Eli talks about how much God wants us back along with a concert mishap story, SPACE NEWS is back, with Gavin's insight about water, Eli says something he's sure he'll be ostracised for saying, and Eli shares his wonder about eternity.
Eli and Gavin blabber briefly about Dune, whacking people over the head, and "ask not what your God do for you, ask what you can do for your God". Gavin doesn't often feel God in the room but has a revelation about who the church is. Gavin brings the Acts segment with unexpected theatrics and somehow Eli depresses the both of them talking about martyrs. Uplifting conclusion?
We have on Gavin's dad to talk about masculinity
The boys are back in town, they jump right in to talk about worries, communication with God, hatred and adjusting thoughts towards people God made. Eli talks about how Jesus is our rescue ship and Eli compares humans to cameras with owners manuals. Eli talks about Tenth Avenue North and choosing the moment we are in instead of living in spite of it.
A listener sends in a great song about belief.
Just another episode where Eli and Gavin talk way too long about wishing for people to not perish.

Eli spills his very strange and unusual thoughts about the true state of our God and universe and Gavin low-key laughs at him. You're welcome.

Eli and Gavin bring on their close friend, Jaron Steiner to talk about their friendship and how valuable they think friendship is - especially friends who will watch your back and keep you honorable. They ask what a real friendship means, tell how they became close and how they subjected themselves to horrible pain to become better friends.

In this very short episode, Eli brings how great it feels to cast your troubles onto Jesus as he promises to do, Gavin shares how in Acts, it says lying is a big no-no, and how his parents made him wait years to ask a question, Eli talks briefly about freedom and how God put us in a nice aquarium, Eli brings a hot take on our favorite characters and how they have what God offers but as humans we try to find him in them instead of himself, Eli brings how every day can be the next best day of our lives, Gavin brings a view on judgemental patterns, how God takes joy in using the lowly people we are and how we are no better than others, Eli brings how it’s not so much a matter of religion vs secular but human nature and advice giving.

We talk about relative temperature.
In this slow burn episode, Eli points out a cool correlation between Thor’s hammer and The Holy Spirit, Gavin talks about sacrifice-person posters, Gavin talks about projecting personalities on God and how good praise is for us, the new music segment leads to a good conversation about spiritual gifts and fruits, and Eli is convicted about speaking out without God behind it.
