New Dakota: 15,000 CE, thousands of years after the fall of our civilization. The Earth has reclaimed the cities and glories of the modern world, returning humanity to a way of life that recalls advanced, ancient civilizations. The histories of the old world survive only as myths and legends. Our tale focuses on four heroes from the great tribes of what was once South Dakota. They are known as : The Wolves, The Rams, The Bears, and the Birds. Book I : The Dawn Age introduced us to the world and the heroes who we’ll follow as we chart the rise of the first Empire of this new world. Book II : The Seed of Whiterock, begins to weave our worlds and hero quests together as their destinies collide amidst the backdrop of war, natural catastrophes, inflamed rivalries, new alliances, loves and losses. All of them will be tested as the world heaves toward its new age, The Dawn Age. A place where new legends are born and a time when all things return. having finished the podcast and reflected: good concept, bad writing and direction. can't fault the actors for the hysterical performances, they're just doing what they're asked. probably one of qcode's absolute weakest offerings.

Great idea for a podcast, but Noah's a real dismissive jerk so far..

I have agree with the comments about the episodes being too short and the outro being too long, but I'm definitely enjoying the podcast as whole.

Takes 4 episodes before the story starts, eps are roughly 20mins with 2 mins of cross promotion at the start and 3 mins of credits and ads at the end. Feels like the story was intentionally chopped up to draggggg it out. Story is ok, wonder if it will have an ending or if QCODE will (as usual) make us wait for next season. Frustrating.

Augh, no climax, vague cooperative ('secret spy op' / 'corp espionage '), inconsequential 'cliffhanger', what a waste of a couple hours of my life. at least the short episodes where nothing happens are short

I want to like this podcast, but the episodes are way too short and far too little happens. The stereotypical panicked breathing of the incompetent heroine trope was just a bit too much for me. I'm tired of the overwhelmed/weak woman schtick. just get on with it.

Several questions: why are these episodes so short? Why after episode 4 has nothing happened yet? Why is everyone so incredibly dramatic? Also we essentially know the same amount of information as after episode 2. I want to like this show but it's incredibly frustrating and I'm about to give up.

well, four episodes in and literally nothing at all had happened. four episodes of a husband aggressively gaslighting and yelling at his wife. awesome writing. well done. "hey, do you think we could cut this down a bit". "no, we definitely need that scene where the heroine opens a random door". yep. all critical to the drama.
