In this episode we are covering the National Insurance Brokers Association’s recent "Future Ready" convention for 2026. The three-day conference was attended by over 1,000 industry professionals (and Insurance News) unpacking the biggest themes shaping the broking profession now and, in the future, funnily enough.
In this week’s edition of INSIGHT, I’m a bit under the weather after the Melbourne Cup. I’ve never been one for horse racing, but this year I took it seriously. I was surrounded by Chardo-neighs and Carber-neighs and I put all my money on a horse called Broken Drum as I was sure he couldn’t be beaten. So today I’m really missing my old job in Kenya where I applied a spray to soften the leather straps attached to a horses bit. Yes, I mist the reigns down in Africa.
In this week’s edition of INSIGHT, I’m often accused of ramming my puns down everyone’s throat, but I’m not sheepish about it. No, I’m not having a baaaa of it and I bet ewe can’t count the number of sheep puns in this episode and stay awake. Or at least, that’s what I herd.
In this week’s gnarly dude edition of INSIGHT, we’re at the Gold Coast hanging ten with the grommets at the NIBA Convention. We went surfing with a bunch of frogs, 12 to be exact as I counted them, and it was a toad tally awesome wave bro. Afterwards we walked into a bar with our boogie-boards, but the barman said “we don’t surf your kind in here” so we had to leave.
In this week’s edition of INSIGHT, we’re excited for Shark Week. Sharks can swim faster than a human and a human can run faster than a shark, so in a triathlon it all comes down to who’s the better cyclist. That shark joke tanked, but perhaps that’s the point?
