Welcome back! We're delighted to launch season two with our most star-studded offering to date. After a brief hello from Mark, guest host Baseball Robbie presides over a veritable parade of comics during this very special episode recorded during the Savage Henry Comedy Festival. Featuring friends of Savage Henry including Alec Cole, Dave Eubanks, Louis D. Michael, and Gabby Jesus, and a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance by friend of the show Lauren Brenner.

We're all beat after a thoroughly successful Savage Henry Comedy Festival.  Regulars Jessica Grant, Jason Merritt and Jay Reeder keep it loose after hours this week.   The gang shares highlights from the Fest and recount their worst gift experiences as another holiday season looms around the corner.  

The one on his shoulders and the kind he was after in that video. It's a star-studded evening  After a quick song about cocaine from Mark, Hall-of-Famers Jessica Grant and Evan Vest hop on stage for a quick chat about thrift shop scores, and what was up on Mark's corner while he was in Yellowstone.  After Jessica and Evan mosey off into the sunset, friends of the show Eric Fitzgerald and Patrick Redmond hop aboard the pod train for a rollicking discussion that ranges from roaming buffalo to tower 7. If you're not at least a little offended by this one, you should probably listen again.  

We're flirting with social responsibility this week.  Trying to be good neighbors and spread important information. This week we bid a fond farewell to writer, filmmaker and comedian Rale Sidebottom before he moseys out to Montana. Mark and Rale recount the What We Do in the Moonlight film shoot that left a forest trail looking like a crime scene, then Jason hops in as Rale shares a surprising story about an otter. In the grand finale, friend of the show and Savage Henry Hall-of-Famer Evan Vest gets the gang to share some of their most painful comedy memories.  

Game night champion Caitlin Conners claims her prize: a spot on the show as this week's honored guest. Jason Merritt joins in as Mark surrenders the helm and the trio create a back-door pilot for Caitlin's new show Dating in China. Rale Sidebottom features as Godot. A mostly jolly episode, with a few dark turns (especially for any mouse listeners we may have) as Savage Henry welcome's Mark back from a long voyage. Hall-of-Famer and once and future host Jason Merritt, and friend of the show Shane Jensen fill out the panel as Humboldt comedian Scott Hoyle makes his first appearance on the podcast.

You'll have to decide if it's best.  Musical guest Baseball Robbie bookends the evening's festivities with stellar performances, one featuring Savage Henry Hall-of-Famer Jessica Grant. After a somber monologue from Mark, the trio, along with Humboldt Legends Trevor Lockwood and Jason Merritt have a revelatory discussion about childhood, cats, and of course, horses.  Heavy feels, sweet tunes, good talk. This is good pod, folks.

The gang gets pretty personal and touches on just about every topic from sheath cleanings to talking to plants. One of our filthier offerings, not for the faint of heart or ear.

Mark's in a great mood this week. Jason Merritt makes a triumphant return, Danny Murphy contemplates his next addiction, and TiKTok sensation Sam Trewartha patiently explains the brave new world to the old trio. Hits are out, views are in!

We've got a real treat for you this week folks.  An all-star lineup of Savage Henry Hall-of-Famers including Eric Fitzgerald, Josh Barnes, Evan Vest and Chris Durant joins Mark for a discussion about power violence, stoner doom, grind core, protothrash, witchy pants, and old town raccoons.  Can you guess how many of those topics are music genres?

This week, two jewels in the Savage Henry crown, Hall-of-Famer and record-setting three-time guest Jessica Grant, and rising star and all-around excellent young person Shane Jensen join Mark for a deep-dive on the Millenial-GenZ generation gap. Creecraw everyone. 

Comedian and banjoist Patrick Redmond joins Mark and Humboldt Legends Jessica Grant and Trevor Lockwood for a rollicking sing-along adventure.  

Artist, comedian, singer, renaissance woman Coco, Comedian Lauren Brenner and author Pearce Hansen join Mark for an exploration of Pearce's book Gun Sex, a treatise on Taco Bell cantinas, and fond reminiscences of how they all ended up in Humboldt County. Plus, Lauren takes to task all things by the sea.  

After (surprise!) another condor update and some other good news, Humboldt artist, musician and film maker Oryan Peterson-Jones joins Mark and comedian Jason Merritt to share songs and stories from Cuba, Turkey, Senegal and more. Somehow we're still talking about horses.  

We've got a treat for you this week folks! Musical guest Sherita Perez graces the stage to share stories from the road and delight us with some tunes, comedian Danny Murphy stops by for a chat about committing to standup comedy full time, and Humboldt legend Baseball Robby can't seem to convince Mark that he's not a horse expert. 

After an uplifting condor update, Zeke Herrera, Patrick Redmond, Scott Nelson and Jason Grow join Mark for some serious silliness.  Topics discussed include medieval armor, cryptozoological genitalia, and Denver. In the rousing conclusion, Scott leads the fellas in a few improv games.

This week at the club, comedians and real life couples Jessica Grant and Trevor Lockwood, Calista La Bolle and Eric Fitzgerald, and Jeff Ward and Kendall Williams join host Mark Sanders for a rousing round of Cohabitators.  But first, Paleontologists in North Dakota have uncovered something pretty cool, and chickens could look pretty awesome if we'd just let them.
