One of the most shocking things Jesus says in his entire ministry is found in Matthew 5:10, Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake. How can persecution equate to blessing? How do we endure persecution when it arises? And what kind of reward is promised for those who endure it?
Here we finish looking at the Peacemaking Beatitude by looking at ways in which we can very practically pursue peacemaking with principles derived from Peacemaker Ministries.
Learn how to apply biblical peacemaking principles from the example of David's exchange with Saul.
Jesus says, "Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God." What is peacemaking though? How does it differ from peace-faking and appeasement? What does it mean to be called sons of God? We explore these questions and more in our 8th sermon on the Beatitudes.
Sermon number 7 in our series on the Sermon on the Mount. Today we consider the beatitude, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God!" What does this promise mean, and how can we acquire this all-important heart purity?
Sermon number 6 on the Sermon on the Mount, considering Jesus' statement that the merciful are blessed because they will receive mercy. What is mercy? How do we show mercy? And what is the result of showing mercy?
Youth Director Chris Ratliff preaches from John 3:36 on our expectations for obedience.
The next in our Sermon on the Mount sermon series in which we explore the beatitude, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied."
Sermon number 4 on the Sermon on the Mount, considering the 3rd Beatitude, Meekness. So often we find this call to meekness distasteful because we don't fully understand what Jesus is calling us to pursue, nor what he is promising us in return.
Sermon number 3 in our series on the sermon on the Mount. We look at the 2nd Beatitude, where Jesus promises happiness and comfort to those that mourn.
Sermon 2 in Pastor Tim Wade's series on the Sermon on the Mount
The first sermon in a new series on the Sermon on the Mount in which we lay the foundations for Jesus as the Greater Moses and the Greater law-giver.
Our Father's Day Sermon from Worship Pastor, Phillip Smith
The final sermon in our series on Habakkuk in which the prophet finds a way to rejoice in the Lord, regardless of what he knows lies ahead. We too live in uncertain days, but by following the lessons from Habakkuk, Jesus, and Job, we can learn how to prepare for hard times, forsake material gain, and rejoice in the Lord.
How do we respond to imminent disaster? We can learn from Habakkuk's response to God's coming judgment how we can live in a world increasingly hostile to Christianity.

*In this sermon, I address current events, notably the massacre of 21 people, including 19 schoolchildren in Uvalde, TX, and the horrific report released by the Sexual Abuse Task Force in the SBC. Thankfully, God's word promises a just and final sentence of judgment upon all the wicked, so that God's people do not have to despair in the face of such evil. God will not let the wicked go unpunished. His word gives us that confidence this week.
This is the 4th sermon in pastor Tim Wade's series on Habakkuk, in which we see God's primary response to the problem of evil in his unfolding plan.
Sermon 3 in our series on Habakkuk. In this sermon I explore the necessity of being confident in God's character, courageous in the face of our enemies, and careful to wait on the Lord.
The second sermon from the book of Habakkuk by Pastor Timothy Wade
The opening sermon in our series on Habakkuk, the prophet who struggled with the problem of evil, and God's sovereign plan to judge evil.
