In this season finale, I discuss how Winter affects our subtle body. Whether you identify with the 'winter blues', seasonal affective disorder, feeling burnt out, or just exhausted... may I remind you that there is nothing wrong with you. Winter is just coming in and doing its thing; but what is wrong is that we live in culture that doesn't support us BEING with that. Katherine May writes in Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times"Plants and animals don't fight the winter; they don't pretend it's not happening and attempt to carry on living the same lives that they lived in the summer. They prepare. They adapt. They perform extraordinary acts of metamorphosis to get them through. Winter is a time of withdrawing from the world, maximizing scant resources, carrying out acts of brutal efficiency and vanishing from sight; but that's where the transformation occurs. Winter is not the death of the life cycle, but its crucible."May you find ways to honor the Winter that feels supportive to your health and body. May you prioritize tending to your own hearth fire and seeking vital nourishment during these darker and colder nights. Remember to check in on your people and please seek support if you find yourself in a difficult dark. Thank you to all my listeners for a wonderful first season of Subtle Body Speaks! I look forward to the continuum of insightful conversations on the other side.

Astrology is near and dear to my heart so it was so pleasurable for me to have on Jyotish Astrologer, Brooke Underwood, on the show. I think I'm going to make this a 'thing' and have on astro insights annually when there are potent and collective shifts happening. Astrology is ancient in its wisdom and has been used by many cultures for centuries to better understand the human race, collective and individual. And occasionally there are certain planetary transits or 'portals' that grant us more access to deeper transformation and a collective shake up that can be witnessed politically, environmentally, and psycho-socially. What a treat to have an astrologer on the show to offer us the cosmic wisdom that can be felt right now and how we can use this time to our advantage. Subtle shifts of planets transiting different degrees or a moon being eclipsed by the sun can actually bring forth profound change in our lives--is this not an example of the Great Subtle Body?!Brooke Underwood is a Jyotish Astrologer, Priestess, and Intuitive Business and Relationship Mentor. She mentors high-roller women in navigating their personal astrological blueprint so they can make decisions in full alignment with their purpose, destiny, and success.Want to connect with Brooke? www.brooke-underwood.comInstagram: @brookeunderwoodenergyFacebook: Brooke Underwood***************************Want to connect with Taylor at Subtle Body Speaks?www.instagram.com/subtlebodyspeaks www.instagram.com/thesomaticmysticMore of the visual listener?Like and Subscribe to the show on YouTubehttps://youtu.be/3NVN_G0UsrUWant to support the movement of these conversations?www.patreon.com/subtlebodyspeaks***************************This show was produced by Best Coast Productions. Tune into our 10th episode on Subtle Body Speaks where I have guest, Lauren Segalla. She lays out what womb sovereignty is and the path to it; honoring your inner season; and pleasure practices that can heal and transform your life. This episode is rich, yummy, and dripping in the sensuality that IS the feminine essence--much like our guest. Lauren reminds us that when we say yes to the 'shadow' and hard work that we store in our womb, then by natural law we are allowed to experience the deepest pleasure points and release in our bodies. ***************************Want to connect with Taylor at Subtle Body Speaks?www.instagram.com/subtlebodyspeaks www.instagram.com/thesomaticmysticWant to connect with Lauren? www.embodiedecstasy.comInstagram: @the.healing.hummingbirdMore of a visual person? You can now watch the show on YouTube!https://youtu.be/yOUGErhuSPUWant to support the movement of these conversations?www.patreon.com/subtlebodyspeaks***************************This show was produced by Best Coast Productions. Join me in this episode as I am joined by Jessalyn, Family Constellation practitioner, as we unpack substance abuse/addiction within family systems. Addiction, some healthcare professionals term as a disease. I have also read from a psychologist that addiction is more like a symptom. After this episode, you'll get to decide where addiction falls on the spectrum and more importantly-- you'll be resourced with another perspective based in non-duality on how to be with and heal addiction. Whether addiction is personal to you or something you've witnessed within your own family or partner, we all have some sort of experience with addiction. May this conversation offer compassion, insight, and healing to you and all those in your inner circle. ***************************Want to connect with Taylor at Subtle Body Speaks?www.instagram.com/subtlebodyspeaksWant to connect with Jessalyn? www.morningstarsw.comInstagram: @morningstarsoulworkWant to support the movement of these conversations?www.patreon.com/subtlebodyspeaks***************************This show was produced by Best Coast Productions. On today's episode we are joined by Lexi Delgado, MA and Family Constellation Therapist. Family constellation is another avenue within the healing realm that is still very much on the fringe. But just because something is on the fringe doesn't mean it doesn't have a very real place and potency. Before I discovered constellation firsthand I was told by a good friend this, "The two most efficient ways to healing is Constellation and Kambo." I'll never forget it. And you know what, she was right. So today, we learn about Constellation through the poetic verse of Lexi Delgado. About Lexi:Lexi Delgado, MA, has degrees in Education, Counseling, Psychology and Group Facilitation. She has worked with expert teachers and leaders in the fields of Neuroscience and many areas of Human Potential for over 25 years. Lexi has worked as a mental health therapist, counselor, coach, and mentor and served children in the ‘system,’ adolescents, families in crisis, couples on the rocks, adults just trying to make it, professionals wanting an edge on their career, and anyone who longs for a truer experience of life.Lexi utilizes tools from many arenas of Sacred Science — Mindful/Presencing Practices, Neuroscience, Wisdom Traditions, and Systemic Constellation Work. Lexi’s capacity to synthesize information from a wide body of modalities is one of the things that makes her a uniquely effective practitioner. This powerful work teaches necessary tools for taking on one’s own transformation. Her laser sharp focus provides accurate reflection and input that will rapidly propel you forward to the place you long to arrive.***************************Want to connect with Taylor at Subtle Body Speaks?www.instagram.com/subtlebodyspeaksWant to connect with Lexi? www.lexidelgado.comWant to support the movement of these conversations?www.patreon.com/subtlebodyspeaks***************************This show was produced by Best Coast Productions. Tantric practitioner, Shahid Van Heldon, takes us on a quest on the topic of Pornography. How does pornography affect the subtle body, you may ask? How can such a normalized industry and a sexually liberated culture feel so disconnected and ultimately, addicted? This conversation touches on these questions while providing space to self-inquire about your own consumption with pornography. ***************************Want to connect with Taylor at Subtle Body Speaks? This episode I am joined with my (ex)partner and we ask the subject of Separation to take the floor. The raw and vulnerable intimacy of this episode is such a gift to share with my listeners. Even through an ending of a ten-year relationship; I still feel inspired in the love that Jared and I have for one another. Endings are inevitable--whether through death or divorce--so what if we could navigate the inevitable consciously? What would it feel like to be in your heart through the emotional processes like grief, anger, and distain? These are just a few of the questions I prompt us to lean into as we share our hearts, our story, and our love. You can read more about our 'uncoiling' on IG @thesomaticmystic.
If you are on a healing journey, you may already be aware on the importance of nourishing your Nervous System. In addition to being a nutritional therapist, Fawn is also a personal chef serving the Santa Fe area. And I can personally attest, her meals make me feel SO good and she has been a kitchen inspiration for me for a decade. You can learn more about Fawn and her services here:www.holywisewellness.comand on Instagram @holywise.wellness
In today's episode psychoanalyst, Yoel Kaplan, provides us a beautiful conversation on the topic of touch. Touch in the therapeutic setting; touch as a catalyst for healing; and the detriments that can occur if there is a lack of touch. Together, we explore the concept and edge that may arise within each individual regarding this topic while simultaneously staying curious about what touch really means to us, and why it's important. You can find Yoel Kaplan on Psychology Today and he is currently accepting clients in his private practice on the Front Range of Colorado.
