We are speaking with Dr. Don Berwick, a physician visionary who has spent his career revolutionizing quality improvement and systems reform in health care.
Dr. Berwick is the former Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. He is the founder, president emeritus, and senior fellow of the Institute for Healthcare improvement. Dr. Berwick is a pediatrician by training and is faculty at Harvard Medical School. He ran for governor of Massachusetts in 2013 and is author or co-author of over 160 scientific articles and six books.
Dr. Carolyn McClanahan is a sought-after physician policy expert and CNBC contributor with a unique lens into the intersection of health policy and economics.
Dr. McClanahan began her career as a family and emergency medicine physician and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). She is also a certified financial planner who founded and currently runs her own firm, Life Planning Partners, Inc.
As an expert on the interplay between health and finances, Dr. McClanahan educates financial planners, health care professionals, and the public on health care costs, health care reform, aging, and end of life issues. She writes for Forbes, Advisor Perspectives and Barrons is often quoted in widely-read publications like The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and the Washington Post.
Dr. Robbie Goldstein is a trailblazing doctor whose experiences taking care of LGBTQ+ patients and patients living with HIV led him to run for Congress from the 8th District of MA
Dr. Goldstein practices as an Infectious Disease and primary care physician at Massachusetts General Hospital. He founded the hospital’s Transgender Health Program, and now serves as its Medical Director.
