There are some Jefferson Spartans in the studio and they are excited to talk about a project they’ve been working on called Happy Beans Coffee. Whether you are walking up and down the streets of Warsaw Indiana, or the streets of a big city, you can’t travel far without encountering a coffee shop. There are a lot of people in this world that love a good ‘ole cup of coffee. Students at Jefferson Elementary School have taken on the role of Barista, serving hot coffee and coco.Miss Rachel Jensen, Jefferson Elementary School Teacher, as well as Israel, Abel, and Bella, 5th grade students at Jefferson Elementary join Kyle to discuss the story behind this project, the learning that is taking place, and how Happy Beans Coffee connects with Warsaw Community School's Year of Kindness. Sixteen teams from around the country will be traveling to Winona Lake next week. While they are here, each team will complete a service project for a local organization or within one of the WCS Elementary Schools. Chad Briscoe, Athletic Director of Grace College and Randy Polston, Executive Director of Combine Community Services and Warsaw Community Schools Board Member join Aimee and Kyle to discuss the upcoming tournament and service projects within the schools. Its purpose is to financially support innovative, creative academic projects in Warsaw Community Schools. Are you Smarter than an 8th Grader is the theme for this year's Community Quiz Bowl. This is the Warsaw Education Foundation's primary fundraiser for the year.Erin Serafino, Executive Director of the Warsaw Education Foundation and Rob Parker, President and CEO of the Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce and WEF board member, join Aimee and Kyle to discuss the Warsaw Education Foundation, the positive way it impacts education within Warsaw Community Schools, and discuss this year's Community Quiz Bowl. Through the most recent partnership, teams from Leesburg Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, and Warsaw Community High School recently participated in a 3-Day Winter Program in Oklahoma City learning more about Data-Driven Instruction.Catherine Cavanaugh, teacher from Lincoln Elementary, Jennifer Miller, teacher from Leesburg Elementary, and Dr. Dani Barkey, Deputy Superintendent of Warsaw Community Schools join Kyle and Aimee this morning to talk more about this experience, and how it translates to student learning in their schools.

Featuring a wide variety of seasonal choral musicFree admission - will accept monetary donations and donations of new, unwrapped Toys for Tots.The first opportunity in a few years to collaborate as secondary choirs - thanks to Jennifer Cooksey for this opportunity.Band Concert - Band Christmas Concert - Thursday, December 15th, 2022 7:00 PACFeaturing a wind ensemble, concert band, and percussion ensemble.Dance Concert - Winter Dance Concert - Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 7 pm PACFeaturing: WCHS Dance students, Kids Dance Warsaw - Claypool, Leesburg, and Washington.Audience members will watch many styles of dance to a variety of holiday tunes, including an African version of “O Holy Night” and Stevie Wonder’s “What Christmas Means to Me”. Kids Dance, Warsaw! will feature 72 WCS students. All of the students have learned dance for free over the course of 6 weeks, and they will perform with the high school students at the end of the concert. We would like to thank the Kosciusko Endowment for Youth Services (KEYS) for granting funds toward the elementary student’s performance shirts. Donations after the concert will help further the mission to provide for WCS students’ dance education and further bring joy to the community!Performing Arts Center Gala - Winter Fantasia - Sunday, December 18th, 2022 4 pm PACFeaturing a band, choir, dance, orchestra, and theater showcase. $10 fundraiser for the performing arts department. 574-371-5040 box office phone number.There will be two combined, collaborative performances with the entire performing arts department (performed by 150 students from 5 departments). The program includes a wide variety of musical arrangements and theatrical/dance styles that offer something for everyone this holiday season!
