Many of you have sent me emails with genuine worry about your retirement portfolios SO TODAY I want to introduce you to an alternative to securities, mutual funds or exchange traded funds (ETFs). We’re going to talk about structured notes? Structured Notes vary in complexity and risk – so I would say there is something here for every type of investor. The reason I like these products is because they are easily available at your retail bank and can give you a much better return than simple GICs. The question today is: Why do we gamble?     Read more free financial advice on my BLOG: https://askthemoneylady.ca/blog/    Well, every time you hear of a lottery winner you add this to your mind since the outcome appeals to our emotions whether or not the outcome is truly likely. Let’s face it, storing the memories of people retiring comfortably after diligently saving all their lives isn’t a common occurrence. These stories, although you may have heard them in the past aren’t quite as memorable as a story of a lottery winner, or an investor who made millions overnight, or those big winning poker players and gamblers you see on TV. The reality is that it is much easier to recall a local lottery winner. This makes it that much easier for you to imagine what it would be like for you to win; and your brain then assumes that the scenario is not only possible, but probable.  This is why big winners are featured on the news along with all those human-interest, heart-tugging stories. Watching them makes it easier for our brains to think the big payout could ACTUALLY happen to us. The question today is: Should you include your pets in your Will or Estate Plan?    There are many people who have pets – cat’s, dogs, even horses or parrots. Planning for our future is something we all know to do, but we should also consider proper planning for our pets.   Read more about estate planning on my BLOG: https://askthemoneylady.ca/blog/  ******************************   Send Christine an email about anything related to your Canadian finances: info@askthemoneylady.com    WEBSITE: https://askthemoneylady.ca   INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/askthemoney...   FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/retiredebtfr...   YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYKKn5tDjGQb3XTex5o8sbg/featured BUY THE ASK THE MONEY LADY BOOK!  How to Retire Debt Free & Wealthy by Christine Ibbotson   https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/49085958-how-to-retire-debt-free-wealthy?from_search=true&from_srp=true&qid=A1OXejEKZ4&rank=2
