James Leach and Bobby Wright have filed for reelection, and we anticipate primaries if more than two candidates show up. We also touched on the candidates running for other positions, such as register of deeds and judgeships.We expressed our thoughts on the lack of a primary for the commissioner race and mentioned that candidate events would still take place. We also discussed the filing process for unaffiliated voters and mentioned a candidate who did not meet the requirements. We shared our opinions on the candidates and their qualifications, highlighting the experience of some candidates and their familiarity with the community. We also noted that one candidate has run for a position before Upcoming Primary Elections: What to ExpectWe also discussed the upcoming primary elections and the candidates running for different positions. We noted that there won't be a primary for the judge's seat and the district attorney position. However, there is a Democrat running in Moore County. We also mentioned a challenger for the superintendent of public instruction position.We praised Judge Warren McSweeney for his generosity during Hurricane Matthew, where he provided generators to those in need. We then discussed the upcoming primary date and the importance of registering to vote.
