Kirsten was lucky to receive shamanic healing from trusted people but it was a learning process that was without any elders. She has learned that maintaining one’s relationship with the natural world, helping spirits, and medicine bundle is key. After being initiated into the Q’ero Pampamisayoq tradition as a misa carrier, Kirsten was taught how to work with sacred tobacco. For several years, Kirsten has practiced sacred tobacco offerings which have greatly aided her relationship with the water and land spirits. She also practices offerings on the local land and water in her area. Let’s revive what all of our ancestors used to do worldwide at some point in time: to love, care for and maintain a relationship with the Earth, Water, and all of Nature.
