Death doula Alua Arthur never thought about death until two back-to-back experiences changed her life. A serendipitous encounter with a woman on a bus dying of uterine cancer and the terminal diagnosis of Burkitt lymphoma by her brother-in-law opened her eyes to what happens when we don’t plan for death.
