Hosted by Dr. Mark Pearcy, “PSTT” is a monthly look at educational issues, faculty and student spotlights, and a focus on our partner districts in New Jersey and around the country. “Pod Save the Teachers” will feature the best practices, the most important topics in and out of the classroom, and questions which drive the debate around education in the U.S.

This month on Pod Save The Teachers, Dr. Mark Pearcy dives into the vital topic of special education with fellow Rider professor Dr. Diane Giannola! Joining her is Rowan Mickley, a Rider student studying elementary and special education. For our student spotlight, we welcome back student producer Jay Roberson, who discusses their future endeavors in the field of special education!
On this month’s episode of Pod Save The Teachers Dr. Pearcy discusses the transformative experience student teachers go through while working in the classroom full time. Rider alumnae and past Pod Save The Teachers producers Vanessa Rivera and Aubree Prendergast share their experiences student teaching in middle and high school during their last semester at Rider.
