Not to mention Nighteye's agency is investigating the dealings of Yakuza leader, Kai Chisaki or as he likes to be called "Overhaul". Every week leading up to the My Hero Academia Season 6 premiere in October, we'll be rewatching all of My Hero Academia from the beginning. One cour per episode. This week we're covering the back half of Season 3. In the aftermath of the battle between All Might and All For One and the great heroes subsequent retirement the power vacuum has begun forming. So the pressure is gone to push the next generation of heroes even harder as Class 1-A takes their Provisional License Exam earlier than most. The catch is that with UA being the top and most famous of all the hero schools in the country, everyone is gunning to cull them from the already ultra competitive heard. So the wanna be heroes have to not only pass against the odds but some of their competition might have direct sights at some of them with the intention of settling old forgotten scores. With a 50% passing average will everyone make the cut or could their heroic dreams hit a major speed bump? Listen in as we cover episodes 51-63. This has been a month to test our patience and our sanity.  Because This Anime is taking a look at two awful shows. The first is the death game cell phone novel adaption, Kings Game, and paired it with the female wrestling extravaganza, Wanna Be the Strongest in the World. We talk about bad animation, boring character drama, and things that make us exclaim This Anime! in all the wrong ways.Kings Game is currently available to stream dubbed on Funimation and subbed on Crunchyroll.Wanna Be the Strongest in the World is available to stream both subbed and dubbed over on Funimation. Also our musical interlude was curtesy of Tanuki Suit and their track, Berserk, which can be found to purchase on their bandcamp here. You can contact the show via multiple ways:Follow our host on Twitter and Instagram @KenReelsThis Anime Podcast is also on Twitter @ThisAnimePodSend us an email to thisanimepodcast@gmail.comorComment on the post at thisanimepodcast.comWe are available on Spotify, Stitcher, Google Podcast, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts and would appreciate your support by rating and reviewing us on those platforms to help us grow.
It's the end of another Anime season and its time to do our first This Anime Anime Book Club for the Winter 2021 Season. This time we concluded our discussion that began in January's main show and talked about the second half of Phi Brain Puzzle of the Gods Season 2. We have officially come full circle on a show that has tried our patience and our sanity as we do puzzles against dogs and crazy psychopaths. But did we also mention the dog? It's a wacky world this show lives in but we're seeing it to its end...for now.Phi Brain Puzzle of the Gods Season 2 is currently not available legally through streaming and is currently as of this episode slowly going out of print from Sentai Filmworks on both DVD and Bluray.
It's time to put on some Celtic music and move to the highlands.  This Anime is taking a look at two Celtic/European inspired pieces of anime goodness. The first is the fantasy tale in the country, The Ancient Magus Bride, and paired it with our first Hayao Miyazaki film for the podcast, Howl's Moving Castle. We talk about love, we talk about finding the family who we choose to make, and we talk about the parts of these stories that make us exclaim This Anime! The Ancient Magus Bride is currently available to stream subbed and dubbed over on Crunchyroll and VRV (US Only). It's the month of love and...stark reality? That's right This Anime is taking a look at the adult rom com series, Recovery of an MMO Junkie, and paired it with the underlooked at but somehow thematically similar feature, Aura: Koga Maryuin's Last War. We talk about fantasy, we talk about the harsh reality, but most importantly we talk about the parts of these that make us exclaim This Anime!Recovery of an MMO Junkie is currently available to stream subbed and dubbed over on Crunchyroll and VRV (US Only). This Anime is shouting out our souls. This month This Anime is talking one of the most criminally underrated and under watched shows of the last few years, Re: Creators, and we paired it with Momoru Hosoda's coming of age tale, The Boy and the Beast.
