Why do so many of us moms think we deserve a gold star if we manage to do everything on our own, without a single helping hand? Seriously, when did “exhausted and lonely” become the standard for success in motherhood? Spoiler: it’s not. Because let’s be real—we all need a community to stay sane, avoid burnout, and actually enjoy this wild ride called parenting. In this episode, we’re talking with Florence Ann Romano, personal growth strategist and author of Build Your Village: A Guide to Finding Joy and Community in Every Stage of Life about why it’s time to ditch the guilt of asking for help and embrace the magic of real, meaningful connections. From the six types of people you absolutely need in your circle to why finding your tribe is more important than ever, we’re covering it all. Turns out, the secret to surviving motherhood isn’t doing it alone—it’s knowing who to call when the toddler tantrums hit hard. So, let’s stop pretending we can do it all solo and start building the kind of community that lifts us up. After all, a happy mom is one who knows when to ask for help, lean on her people, and laugh through the chaos. 🌟👯‍♀️✨ Resources We Shared: Get connected to No Guilt Mom and get our Stop Doing Checklist absolutely FREE, so you can start taking tasks off your plate today! Tired of trying to be the holiday superhero while clinging to your last shred of sanity? If you’re the one orchestrating the holiday magic (and probably losing a little hair over it), this one's for you. We’re diving into that festive frenzy where moms end up juggling gift lists, holiday cards, and 27 different kinds of cookies while wondering if there’s enough wine in the world to survive it. Today, we’re serving up some much-needed real talk about setting boundaries and ditching those holiday perfection traps. Forget the Instagram-worthy gingerbread house and focus on what actually brings joy. Spoiler: It’s not the perfectly frosted sugar cookies but maybe letting someone else handle dinner (yes, store-bought counts). And hey, if the thought of one more Christmas card makes you twitch, skip it. This season, we’re all about delegating, saying no, and choosing self-care over burnout. Because let's be honest—your happiness is worth way more than a picture-perfect holiday mantel.  Resources We Shared: Have a million holiday tasks taking up brain space? Ever found yourself color-coding your family’s Google calendar while stress-eating a half-eaten granola bar you found in the bottom of your purse for lunch? (No judgment, we’ve all been there.) In this episode, we’re tackling that sneaky little habit we call “toxic productivity.” You know, the one that whispers, "You’re not doing enough," even when you’re crushing it like a multitasking superhero. Our guest Israa Nasir is a New York City-based psychotherapist, founder of WellGuide—a digital community for mental health awareness, and author of the new book: TOXIC PRODUCTIVITY: Reclaim Your Time and Emotional Energy in a World That Always Demands More.  We’re going to break down why being busy doesn’t always mean being productive and how trying to do it all might actually be burning us out faster than our kids can say, "What’s for dinner?" Spoiler alert: multitasking is a lie, perfectionism is overrated, and squeezing in some actual fun might just be the secret sauce to a happier life. Resources We Shared: Join our newsletter! Thank you, JoAnn and Brie, for this insightful podcast episode. Everyone can relate to this episode because we want someone we can go to talk about what is going on. Next time, my son wants to vent, I promise to be a good sounding board and "stay in the hole with him."

Even as adults, we just want one person we can go to let us vent. Next time, my son comes to me with his problems, I will just be a good sounding board and offer a hug at the end of his vent. Thank you, JoAnn and Brie, for this insightful podcast.

I love JoAnn's personality and how friendly she is while making her content understandable, relatable, and doable. I enjoyed this interview with Bethany, with whom I was not familiar previously. Their conversational instruction is a breath of fresh air, as I have often viewed setting boundaries as difficult. I don't want to disappoint people, but I realize I am able to give more when my well-considered boundaries are in place first. Also, they don't have to be rigid and once-for-all, simply effective in this season. Thank you for this episode!
