About Mark Machin
Mark is a futurist, strategist and integrator. Having transitioned out of military service and emigrated to Canada in 2020 from the UK, he has spent past 3 years creating a portfolio career, combining the best of his passions.
With an engineering and strategy consulting hat on at GHD, he helps clients shape investment opportunities for mega capital interventions in the areas of water, energy, and community development.
Alongside, Mark owns and operates Uncharted Company, a multidisciplinary sports agency, focussed on major events and sports media. And for a complete change of scene, he is also a part-time ski instructor at Cypress Mountain.
Mark has a notable record of decorated military service, including an operational tour of Afghanistan in 2013. Mark's expertise spans strategy and operations, engineering, technology, infrastructure, and sports, with significant experience in Indigenous community projects.
Finally, faith is a big part of his life, and he gives a lot of time and energy to Trinity Central, a family-friendly church based on Cambie Street. Mark lives in North Vancouver with his wife Katrina and son Monty.
