[9:57]Next, you want to focus on building business management strategies[10:56] Love to sit down with you live to figure out what risks you are facing in your business [14:24]Quote from the show"Advice and support are invaluable to your success and your growth. "You learn your craft it, hone it; then eventually it becomes how I operate."  -Mike MelitoEpisode Synopsis: Today we are meeting with my good close friend Michael Melito, who is an attorney here in town in Denver. But his story is rather unique. And I think the really good lesson that we're going to get from here is Mike was in a previous life, a paratrooper in the U.S. Army, and then he was in the Army JAG.  He was a lawyer in the Army, then later went and transitioned into the Colorado attorney general's office. And he was at the Colorado attorney general's office prosecuting white-collar crime cases. And then eventually, most recently within the last few years, transitioned from the Colorado attorney general's office into private practice, running his own business as a lawyer. And his story is really unique. I think he has some really great stories in terms of his transition from the military into working for the Colorado state government and into private practice.Show Notes:What got me interested in joining the military [3:26]I remember this white-collar crime, a ring of thieves [7:42]Find the Silver Foxes [10:30]If you don't have the answer you find it [15:29] I'm curious, why did you decide to go ahead and start your own business instead of teaming up with other people? [27:23]There's a lot of smart lawyers. They're smart doctors, but it comes down to can you communicate?  [41:49}We're not fearful of confronting the client [46:56]More Quotes: "I loved working for the government. I do not regret changing to private practice because as a business man, I am learning and continuing to learn my craft. And that's what every business person has to be a student of the game." -Mike Melito"You've been referred to me because that's how I operate. I don't really advertise, but you want my skill set. Well, let me see if we fit because if you and I can communicate with one another, we built trust, we built honesty. And that allows me to hear and diagnose your woes as best I can because you're being thorough, you're being complete, and you're being candid with me, even for the stuff that it's hard to say because you might be admitting to, I did something wrong, I did a crime, I wronged my business partner or I wronged these people."- Mike Melitohttps://www.melitolaw.com/

"I'm a psychologist. I know the things to do. I'm preaching the things to do, but yet I'm letting myself just kind of hanging by a thread in order to continue the mission, in order to continue pushing forward when I really needed to just take a minute and just address my own needs so that I could be a better provider, so I can be a better mother, to be a better person. "- Dr. GressardShow Notes:It's hard for us to shift our minds. That's to ok to put ourselves first. [00:15:09]And you're and you're looking at this idea of preventative mental health, which is something that I think, you know, having done criminal law for years, I recognize that so many of my clients could have used mental health help while going through their cases [00:15:56]Colorado does not have mental health treatment for indigent people and it definitely does not provide opportunities. From what I've observed, two young children, kids who are struggling within their family, [00:16:47] We definitely have to break the cycle. [00:17:22]Shift where we're at and shift the mindset and start focusing on positivity and kindness and self-worth and self-care.  [00:18:30]How did your kids motivate you?  [00:20:15]Starting an LLC and using those online tools, of course. Right. [00:32:23]So, like, in the end, I could have just called up my business advisor, my lawyer, and then I could have just knocked everything out. I could have done it correctly because when I finally connected with you, [00:33:23]Let's talk about that a little bit, because I think that there's a good lesson in the use of online forms,  [00:33:35]Did you really understand what it meant, what everything that you were creating and getting yourself into through the creation of your LLC in these documents?  [00:34:23]Did you create an operating agreement?  [00:38:50]What about the other piece of this, which is trying to find guests for your podcast where I mean, what type of professionals are you looking for here?  [00:55:07]Follow Crush Club LLC: https://www.instagram.com/crush.club.llc/
" I help people get to the root cause of complex chronic health issues like digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, issues with chronic inflammatory things like Lyme, co-infections illness, more like stealth infections. "  - Cait Podcast Description We are bringing you the "Don't Skip the Legal" podcast. A place where you can learn how to grow your business and build a better future for yourself and your business through the lessons and experience of other business owners, just like you. You know there are legal hurdles on the horizon that need to be taken care of before they grow out of control. This podcast will help you learn to make a strategic response to the constantly changing business landscape during stressful situations reassures, and empowers you with a framework to respond and take smart actions so that you can protect yourself, your customers, and your business's future.Show Notes:I also love entrepreneurship, helping other people with their businesses, and have had chapters of influencer marketing and it's been a wild journey.  [00:01:39]You're de-cluttering people's bodies  [00:01:49]How do you get into being a nutritional therapist or a nutritional coach however you really want to just define that? How did you decide that was the proper path for you?  [00:02:30]You wanted to take your passion and turn it into work or business. How did that change for you? How did that happen?  [00:07:25]So one thing that I feel called to is helping people with health issues.  Over the years, if I'm not feeling energized, I don't feel good. I'm going through my day with brain fog and  I'm full of anxiety; I'm not living to the fullest expression of myself  [00:09:01]How does this event in your life transition into I'm going to start an LLC, I am going to register with the Secretary of State. I am going to monetize my passion and I am going to put money in my pocket  [00:11:13]I didn't know if this was going to be in person or online. There were always things that were up in the air and I had to figure it out.  [00:18:27]Listen, there's a path to success here. Yeah. And proper guidance and proper methodology and doing the right things will get you there quicker and much safer [00:20:23]It's all the back-end emotional baggage and like the proverbial trough of sorrow that you're joking about.  [00:27:40]Iwas doing a lot of influence marketing for the first couple of years of business.  [00:30:01]I ended up again working with somebody else on my commission for marketing and sales. I was kind of building my own brand and influence. Marketing became a thing [00:30:58]The Federal Trade Commission, just within the last four or five days, put in a whole new set of regulations for commentary to go into place about influencer marketing and a little personal of posting more stuff about this. But basically, the FTC is saying, like, even when you tag a company in a post, that's an endorsement. [00:31:41]You have to be accurate in your discernment, saying, everybody, we are all marketing. Yep, that's exactly it. So you have to be truthful in what you are promoting when it comes to those products or you have to disclose that you're not being endorsed by that. [00:32:06]It was almost like since they felt so close to me, they would go into these, like, really deep relationships and opening up and it's like, I just met you. I don't feel comfortable actually talking about these things.
