This trailer is a sneak peak at what our podcast is all about and a taste of what awaits in the five episodes.
Spaces Tell Stories

Spaces Tell Stories

Introducing Dante or Die and its work. Co-Artistic Directors Daphna Attias and Terry O’Donovan reflect on the beginnings of the company and chat to culture journalist Nancy Groves about Dante or Die’s work and philosophy, its approach to audience experience, and what they’ve learnt over their years making site-specific theatre.
Venue partners, business managers and local participants are key to making our style of site-specific shows. Here we look at the impact on communities and audiences examined through conversations with participant to pro Sophie Gunn, choir leader Chrissy Hedge, South Street Artistic Director John Luther and Group Managing Director of Lok’nStore Neil Newman.
In this episode we explore writing for sites, focussing on the writer's process and how it responds to the locations the work is placed in. Chatting with artists, writers and performers Tim Crouch, Sonia Hughes and Andrew Muir we examine the complexities of co-authorship.
In this episode we chat to three Dante or Die performers: Elan James, Fiona Watson and Anna Richmond, about acting in intimate spaces, having audiences up-close and personal, and what happens when real people and events meet a performance.
