Every Christ-follower should be able to answer the question, “How do you know that you are truly saved?” Answering that you said a prayer or walked down the aisle at religious service is not a sufficient answer. In John 12 we read about Jesus following the divine plan and riding into the city to give Himself over to those who would crucify Him. It is interesting and inspiring to think about Jesus’ and the people’s expectations, hesitations, invitations, and declarations during that week. The Gospel of John shows how Jesus was keenly aware of the time. In John 7 we read of Jesus waiting for the perfect moment to act or speak as he worked out his plans. The Bible says a lot about miracles. Jesus’ first recorded miracle was to turn the water into wine. There is no guarantee that Jesus will rescue you or the person you care about with a miracle, but it is possible that He may choose to. Work is a gift from God and it seems everybody is busy working on something. The average person will work at their job for 90,000 hours during their lifetime and have 12 different jobs over those years. Many people who retire from their careers fill their schedules with work they want to do and volunteer many hours to help others.
