Quay and her Kaiden, better known as Kj, discuss new changes he's been experiencing and how to handle them. She asks him a series of questions to provide insight into his world, which he answers to the best of his 8-year-old abilities.
Join them for some laughs and mother-son open communication.
Join Quay and her guest and great friend, Kaliq. They go over the details of Quay's 27th birthday in April 2024: friends, surprises, disappointments, and even a partner who may not be in the picture anymore.
In this episode, Quay shares some of the struggles she has kept low from social media and many of her friends and family. She mentions financial issues caused by her job, friendship strife, and familial reconnection.
This episode comes five months late in true Quay fashion but as an attempt to get her podcast on the map and in the streets with more episodes, guest speakers, and more consistency.
Quay’s back and with some short updates for all the Sorell & Melee fam. A quick, short episode to announce a new chapter of her life and return to the podcasting life.
Listen, we've all been there. Parenting is hard! You know what makes it more challenging? Trying to undo generational curses and parent in a manner that will keep your children as sane as possible as they grow up. I made the conscious decision to be a Conscious parent (also known as gentle parenting) with my son 2 and a half years ago, but I'm no picture of perfection.
This episode takes you along with me in the middle of an actual "tantrum" with my son, my inner monologue, and the solution. As a postpartum doula and a mother, I want to show others the realness and messiness of parenting that influencers aren't showing. If a regular girl like me can try and stumble through this parenting style, so can you.
Thanks for listening. Happy Healing babes
The research says television isn't our children's friend. The research does not say what works for you and your family. I'm here to talk about that! Choose what works for you and yours and when you're ready, if you're ever ready, I have a list of shows to start with. Make sure you have something close to jot down a few.
This audible blog post will include ad-libs and real-time comments from the Hibiscus Healing doula herself, but that keeps it fun and exciting. Join the melee. Summary of the episode/blog: This blog's intention was to share the list of educational shows I gave to my doula families when they asked. However, I am aware of research that states parents should wait until age 2. My key suggestion is to do your own research and decide for you and your family what's best.
In my attempts to be an inclusive person, I have decided that I will take the time to create an audible experience for every (almost every) blog post that I publish. That way those who cannot or simply don't want to engage with the written blog can still join in the discussion.

Summary of episode/blog: This blog's inspired by the cultural saying around adulting and parenting being "ghetto" or "the ghetto". I talk slight trash while affirming our experiences and the choice of others to wait. Short, simple, and sweet.
"Kids say the darnedest things," but what do you say in return? Let's dive into my inner monologue after having a discussion with my six-year-old about his absent father.
This could've been a long conversation and maybe one day, it will be through me, but not tuh-day! This was short, sweet, and definitely not simple, but honest. Chime in.
This episode is read by an automated voice, so it may not appeal to our general audience. However, it helps those of our family who may not be able to read for any reason still receive the information.
