Description
This podcast is about jumping into life feet-first, doing things you love, pursuing your dreams, fighting through mental health issues, stopping comparing yourself to others, staying in your own lane, surrounding yourself with people who build you up instead of pulling you down and gaining more self awareness! You can expect to hear about my own experiences as well as conversations with friends who are also "doing the work"! I'm so glad you're here, and I hope you find yourself being uplifted and encouraged by what you hear on this podcast.

You can follow her on instagram here, where you can also hear some of her singing!

After last week's cliffhanger.. here is Part 2!
This time we delve more into some of my experiences living and working in London, the different fields I've gone into since moving back to Sydney, and dealing with Covid in the middle!
We refence a few things, which I'm leaving links to below, including a music video I made during Covid - the music of which is actually the theme song for my podcast!

Welcome back everybody! After completely falling off the wagon (the podcast wagon, that is) I am back with Season 3!!
The first episode back is with.. ME! My sister Natalie is a jazz singer and songwriter, based in Brisbane, and this week the tables have turned and I am in the hot seat!
So Natalie and I are not just sisters but really good friends, and waaaay too similar, so we would have spent the whole time talking about who knows what if we didn't keep trying to get back on track!
We covered a lot of interesting ground about my creative journey through my childhood, and as we touched on my career move to London, my battery died! But we'd been speaking for nearly and hour already, and I thought it best to leave it and make a Part 2 for next week, where we can talk about my experiences in London, and the move back to Sydney and what I've been up to since then!
As always, let me know if you enjoyed this episode, and mention any comments here or send me a DM!

This week I spoke to the beautiful Renee Joy. We met at a party and instantly connected over basically everything! Both musicians, singers, clearly with ADHD, and both able to talk all evening without coming up for air. In this conversation we cover how she got into music in the first place, started her first band, travelled to LA, and managed to get back home despite not having a passport.. (after it was stolen in Spain) Tune in for a fun and heartfelt conversation.

What a delight to interview Charley Sanders! Actor and director, we talk about.. everything and anything! Lots of tangents.. Best to just listen! Once again I do very little editing and I hope you enjoy everything from the sounds of choking on grapes to my saying I'll cut this out.. and then clearly don't!
Cam Edge is the brainchild of Sisterhood, a collective 25 strong of female artists in Birmingham. We have a lovely chat about her collective and the change she's making in the electronic music scene.

Welcome back to Living a Messy Life! My first guest for Season 2 is fashion designer, Natalija Rushidi! We met at the Other Art Fair a couple of years ago, after I had been DJing the event, and.. now I wonder if her partner's photography was on display! Regardless, we bonded over a mutual appreciation of each other's coats and the rest is history! Natalija talks about her journey into fashion, moving from Serbia to Sydney, and always doing what makes you happy.
You can visit Natalija's at shop 1 80 Enmore Road Newtown NSW Australia

This week's guest is the very special Nyssa Milligan. We sang together a handful of times several years ago, and it was so lovely to catch up with her after so long!
A proud neurodivergent creative, passionate about creating inclusive performance experiences, Nyssa is a musician, cabaret artist and clown.
n 2019 Nyssa was a Sydney Cabaret Competition finalist and a Sydney Fringe Festival award nominee. In 2021 Nyssa was a Weekly Award Winner at the Adelaide Fringe Festival with her one-woman family cabaret, ‘Udderly Fabulous’.
I hope you enjoy our conversation as much as I did. As always, please comment or DM me if this resonated with you.
Also.. please enjoy my ADHD style messy room in the background of this video!! I'm working on sorting through boxes of my old childhood things.. It's hard to let go of old memories sometimes, but I'm determined to "Marie Kondo" it!

Well.. talk about living a messy life! This is my first video episode, and I'm still on the learning curve for this! Much as I work with video and sound all the time, I managed to have problems with my new mic - it recorded but was cutting in and out - the number of things that can not work easily when it comes to a podcast is astounding! So hear we have my iphone sound recording, and because of the file type I was unable to add my usual background music.. but.. better done than perfect!
This week I talk about my new "Passion Planner", link below..! I am not affiliated with Passion Planner in any way, shape or form - I heard about it through Anna Lunoe's interview with TSHA, and the positive impact it had on her achieving her goals. I find following these types of Instagram pages inspiring, and I hope you find it helpful as I did! I talk about having the courage to dream, and how putting your dreams "out there" forces you to confront them.. (enter Julie and Julia quote!)
Remember to subscribe if you like this podcast, and feel free to message me if you have any questions or if there's any topic you'd like me to cover in my solo episodes!

Welcome to my second solo episode! This week I wanted to talk about how hypnosis has been helping me, well.. happier! It's been about 10 months since I started using hypnosis alongside therapy to help address my lack of self-acceptance and self-belief. I've made huge strides in this area since I began on this journey, and wanted to share this with you all, in case it ends up having a similar impact for you.
This is the guided hypnosis I've been using. Note: I am not associated with these people in any way, and have no personal benefit for sharing these details, other than the joy I would find to hear it had helped any of you also.
Let me know if this resonates with you, or if you've also been exploring hypnosis and finding it to be beneficial.

This weeks episode is a little sit down with me and my mental health! The new plan is to do a mini episode every second week, with my general musings on what has struck me that week, whether it be something I heard during my podcast travels, or a breakthrough I've had on my mental health journey.
I reference a song during this episode, and the link to it is below. Written by the fabulous Myledo, you can find her on Spotify and everywhere else under that name.
