Hartley and Kevin list twenty-five topics and observations which they feel aren't-quite-not-really-definitely-not-fully-potent explosives worthy of dedicating to a fully-authorized F*Bomb segment of any episode. Hartley calls attention to Kevin's impressive new venture. Kevin affirms Hartley's new criteria for future episodes. Comment—What do you think? In this episode, Kevin explains the market but questions his neighbors and Hartley shares an analogy for one of the Sistine Chapel's frescoes.Show Notes:
Kevin explains what is meant by 'the market,' helping us as investors understand how performance-tracking indexes like the S&P 500, Russell 1000, and Vanguard effect our personal trading analysis. He also unscrambles some trading jargon for us: not the more oft-confusing language such as Blue Chip, Bonds, Compounding Returns, Index, Buybacks and Splits; not the more important abbreviations of FA, MM, BBO, DB, SL, TBT or TRIPS; but the highly critical, most challenging mumbo jumbo of new acronyms each new market or economic cycle seems to generate—and Kevin introduces his (what is bound to become the) acronym-of-the-decade!
Hartley follows up his discussion of desire with the encouragement to consider how much of God we actually want to embrace, helping us evaluate our answer through an illustrative look from a work of Michelangelo.
According to StorageCafe analysis of online survey data in 2021: Almost 40% of Americans rent self storage.
Interestingly enough, living in a spacious home doesn’t necessarily rule out the use of self storage. In fact, it’s residents of medium-sized homes (1,500-2,499 sq. ft. and 2,500-3,500 sq. ft.) that make up the largest groups of self storage users – roughly 42% of residents in each of those home size categories. Approx. 39% of small home residents (homes averaging less than 1,000 sq. feet) use self storage, with 29% of mansion-like homes also turning to storage for various items.
Three-member households (46%) are the most likely to rent a storage unit, followed by two-member ones (43%). Thirty-four percent (34%) of single-member households declare themselves to be self storage users.
Gen Xers (54%) are the most likely generation to be self storage users, followed closely by baby boomers (51%).
Missouri — where the home offices and recording studio of Faith, Finances and F*Bombs are located — does not rank in the "Top 10 States by Self-Storage Usage." (Probably because Missourians, evidently, store things in their home's garage.)
Kevin suggests Hartley could have a "fifth one," referring to podcasts, in response to Hartley's improvised title for trading post items. If you are confused why three additional podcasts are inferred, listen to the bonus episode.

In this episode, we find out which Ballpark serves the best food, Hartley discusses a foundational step for making a deep connection with your soul, and Kevin takes over trivia. SHOW NOTES:
Content Fact Check: During Kevin and Hartley‘s discussion of the national debt, Kevin suggests if the information he shares about California is incorrect, the commentary about California would be omitted from this podcast. The conversation is included and not omitted because the state of California is currently ranked 5th, however, a majority of economists are predicting the state will soon be ranked the World's 4th Largest Economy. The difference between the two rankings does not alter the emphasis Kevin presents in the context of the conversation. Here are our sources if you wish to learn more: Bloomberg | Fullerton Observer | California Policy Center | Los Angeles Times | Bull Oak Capital (Blog)
Hartley quotes from this article when talking about food at the ballpark: Every Pro Baseball Stadium Ranked by its Food
If you seek hard enough, getting in touch with your deepest desire is like peeling an onion. After removing several layers and often shedding many tears, you can discover your deepest desire. Naming your desire before God and others is a foundational step for being able to arrange your life and experience a transformational spiritual journey.

The Market is high but the Holy Spirit is low on the fandom list. In this episode — if you hang around long enough — you'll hear an unsolicited apology to their listeners, an accidental conversation about self-awareness, and why Hartley and Kevin appreciate women's bathrooms. Show Notes:
The referenced quote (corrected and expanded here): "50% contend that the Holy Spirit is not a real, living being but is merely a symbol of God’s power, presence, or purity" is stated in Arizona Christian University Cultural Research Center's American Worldview Inventory 2021 and can be found by clicking this link.
True growth in Spiritual Transformation cannot happen without Self-Knowledge, Self-Examination and Confession. This is why Hartley discusses a small part of this process in this episode. One moves toward spiritual wholeness through an intentional practice of allowing God to show you the strengths of your personality and how you are living those well, as well as how the compulsions of your false self (your 'shadow side') are playing themselves out in your life. The practice of noticing might not seem like much, but it can open up avenues and opportunities for change, and help you discover a truer response which comes from love and faith and being given over to God.

Hartley and Kevin fail to mention the Clampetts or the Castaways in a discussion worthy of each ensemble's consideration, Kevin is frustrated with the Federal Reserve, and Hartley explains why favoritism in families is a generational sin.Show Notes:
Hartley's statement: "Dysfunction comes naturally to us." is connected to our being born in a sinful state, only able to be redeemed by our Creator. Our natural state is selfish at best and pathological at its worst.
People who are Christians are called to break generation curses in their quest to be more like Christ. Christians are called to be transformed by the renewing of their minds and repent of the sins of ancestors and selves.
Scriptures addressing the cycle of generational sin and showing favortism: Exodus 20:5, Exodus 34:7, Numbers 14:18, Deuteronomy 5:9; Jeremiah 32:18; James 2:1,8-9; 1 Timothy 5:21

What needs to die in me in order for the will of God to come forth in my life?
What new thing is God doing in my liar that requires some old things to pass away?
Where do I sense God wanting to teach me obedience through the things I am suffering?
