It’s been one year of podcasting, 🎉 and to celebrate that and the first Noël (not to mention also the solstice and turn of the season - so much completion!), I am offering this twelve minute episode on “God with us.”
In this episode, I share a few stories from my past and how at a pivotal point in my adolescence, I ended up going to church.
Is there a place for God in modern society? How do we handle the tragedies of political Christendom? In this spontaneous episode, we explore the tension of the pain of the past and the unchanging presence of divine love.
There’s something in the air. There are changes happening all around us, and what’s going on in the world right now can feel like too much to handle. In this episode, I talk about the power to change the collective. We each have the ability to make a change for the good.
What if we thought about worshipping God in a different way? For centuries, humans have abused the planet we live on. Perhaps Christians who give glory to God in a new way can be part of the solution.
In a go-go-go world with crushing expectations, it becomes a spiritual discipline to known when to rest.
Sometimes we can feel more like human doings than beings. How much of your time do you spend doing things? What is the value in time spent simply just being? Meditation and being in God’s presence is a practice that we can cultivate to grow a more steadily, mindful, peaceful life.
Life can throw us lemons. It can be full of bumps and bruises, challenges, and adversity. Through the hard times, spirituality and a connection to the divine can be a tool to help strengthen our souls.
In the is episode, we look at how our connection to the divine can be a source of joy amidst all circumstances, including the difficult and challenging seasons of life.
The word, sabbath, isn’t one that many people use today, but what if this ancient discipline is the key to living a more fulfilling and wholehearted life?
To live in flow is like a moving down river. It’s where we can find peace and meaning, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
When we experience life-giving connection to our Creator, there is peace in knowing that we are more than our physical bodies.
When the tides of change are blowing the storms of life, what do we still all possess that is unshakeably our own, and why does it matter?
This episode is a reminder and prayer that we put the first things first and cherish the connection that gives meaning in life.
The entire world is connected. We are joined physically and energetically. When one thing changes, another must shift in response. In a rapidly changing world, how do we position ourselves to respond to the tides of change? Whether we choose to sway or hold our ground, what holds us in place in the midst of it all?

There is a mystery to our planet - and not only to our planet but the entire universe that we exist in. The world we live in is a mystery, and yet that mysteries call us to the Creator. Listen to find out how the stars, the Bible, and your spirituality may all intertwine.
The Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil. How does greed impact our culture, and what can we do to live counter-culturally? Listen to this week’s episode and be encouraged in the realization of contentment.
In this week’s episode, we’ll explore the relevance of the term “repentance” in today’s society, and examine whether it is an invitation to humility or source of shame. Join me for thought-provoking discussions on the power of repentance on the path to deeper spirituality.
Bam, your girl got a bit fiery today. This one is about deep acceptance, indiscriminate access to the divine, and how culture affects our spiritual growth and practice. This topic is one dear to my heart, and I see no better time than now to discuss it. Is there room for diversity? Is to tragic when tradition is lost? Let me know your thoughts at @modern.mystic.podcast on Instagram.
In learning to listen for the still small voice, we can open our hearts to hear from God and find peace.
