Ghibli is back. A titan so monumental even our two humble Davids couldn't take it down in one strike, or two, or likely eight or nine.
What does N.A.R.C. stand for? We don't know. This episode is about cool cop movies; movies so hardcore you'll pump your fists and forget about the huge amount of unjust killings done by cops to serve their racist agenda.
Finally, 2002SuperVision's annual awards are back, and with a whole 'nother person. They are three together; they are for each other. Will there be upsets? Will there be balls? Will there be a musical guest? These questions and more will be answered in The Nities 2024. Disclaimer: The big film (you know the one) is mentioned a single time in this episode.
Chandler & Joel finally make it to Paramount Studios to question the higher-ups, but it could never be that simple, could it? Perhaps the time of year will give the answer away. For this scariest of times, what could be scarier than the scariest man of all time: Glenn Danzig. Cover those eyes and prepare to hide behind the couch as 2002SuperVision take you on a journey through the fucked up, weird, sick and twisted mind of the man who wrote "Mommy, can I go out and kill tonight?"
The boys are back in town, and by town I mean Hollywood. Of course "town" is a misnomer, but that's Thin Lizzy's fault. As Chandler & Joel fight for their lives in the city of death, they somehow find the time to watch The Player (1992) and Eating Raoul (1982).
I have eaten nothing but expired chicken meat for 5 days.
As the witching hour approaches, Chandler and Joel are joined by two frightening guests to discover the mystery of the film reels and maybe watch 3 of them and talk about them or something. Will they get too drunk and ruin the episode? Ask someone who can remember.
Having recently moved to Goto, an island just of the coast of Nagasaki, Chandler and Joel finally take a relaxing oceanside break from the sea salt farm. The only thing that could possibly come between them is a newly formed love triangle, but all problems can be solved with at least 2 movies, Eat A Bowl Of Tea (1989), and Tokyo Fist (1995).
In this episode, Chandler and Joel wrap up the year with the awards show to end all awards shows: The Nities! Which films will win? Which will be snubbed? Probably your favourite, we do it on purpose. Disclaimer: The big film (you know the one) is not mentioned a single time in this episode.
In this episode, Chandler and Joel take their first foray into talking about the juggernaut itself: Ghibli. The only fair way to decide which three films to watch, however, is the age old tradition of spinning a big wheel with every film on it. What will be pulled?
In this episode, Chandler and Joel brace for the chilling winds of Autumn, through leaves of crimson, like embers burning. The only way to keep warm is luckily enough talking about 3 movies, The VVitch (2015), Falling for Vermont (2017), and Adrift in Tokyo (2007).
In this spookiest of spooky nights, join us in our cozy living room as we talk about 2 spooky classics and 1 maybe-drama from a few months ago. Ooooooh, how chilling!
In this episode, Chandler and Joel enjoy a nice cup of candy corn and settle in for the upcoming scariest night of them all, Halloween! Three flicks set on Halloween night: Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark (1988), Trick 'r Treat (2007), and Ghostwatch (1992). Ok, so Elvira isn't set on Halloween, but cut us some slack we really thought it was.
In this episode, Chandler and Joel prepare for it all to end this Halloween with Halloween (1978), Halloween (2007), and Halloween (2018) with special appearances from Halloween II (2009), and Halloween Kills (2021). Could this be too much Halloween?
In this episode, Chandler and Joel discover you can make a movie about anything, even about making a movie! As they discuss Cecil B. Demented (2000), You Shoot, I Shoot (2001), and Ed Wood (1994), the 4th wall shatters around them. Will they make it through to the other side?
In this episode, Chandler and Joel take a scenic coastal highway drive across Vibrator (2003), 19 (2000), and Mad Max Fury Road (2013). Will the long journey go off without a hitch, or will our intrepid protagonists crash and burn?
When the human mind evolves into adulthood, it matures into a more thoughtful and intellectual creature. Instead of the juvenile arguments of the playground, the mind now seeks nourishment through discussion of contemporary issues, such as the imbalance of human rights, the inappropriate uses of incarceration, and how many times it takes to make the perfect adaptation of Koji Suzuki's novel RING.Our three humble pathologists, Wyatt, Chandler, and Joel, dedicate themselves once again to the search for that elusive bug known as Ringu Fever. The hotbeds for infection? Ringu (1998), The Ring Virus (1999), and The Ring (2002).
