As a life long introvert that doesn’t like to be around people I couldn’t have picked a complete opposite field to go into nursing. The field where I have to be around people and actually talk to them. This is my take on all things nursing and more from my point of view. From taking 12 years to get my degree, having coworkers turn on me, to now traveling it’s been a whirlwind. I’m excited to introduce you to the world of nursing through my eyes as the introverted nurse.

Did you know it took me 12 years to get my RN? What started out as a straight path ended up in many roadblocks and hurdles. Which lead to me taking the scenic route even though it wasn’t planned it made me the person I am today. For anyone struggling and thinking it’s taking you to long your doing just fine. It’s not a race as long as you cross the finish line that’s all that matters.
As much as people love to say it isn’t a thing it is. This is my take on gage keeping in the world of nursing in terms of school, specialties, and traveling.
While it’s not a fun topic we need to discuss why mental health is so important. It’s something that’s hard to talk about so I’ll start with my own journey and the issues I face.
Guess who signed a new contract and why
Anyone will tell you the hardest travel contract to get is the first one. So knowing that why would I quit mines 7 weeks in. Looking back I wish I could have seen all the red flags and stood up for myself sooner.
