If you've ever wondered how the Disney Treasure handles accessibility for scooter and wheelchair users, Judy has the firsthand answer — and it's more nuanced than you might expect. She navigated the ship's lounges, dining rooms, theater, and Caribbean ports with her mobility scooter, and she's sharing every tip, workaround, and genuine highlight from her seven-night sailing.
In this episode:
How the Treasure's hallways, elevators, and common spaces handle scooter navigation — and which lounges require parking outside
Why the Wish Class theater is a game-changer for mobility users compared to the Dream and Fantasy
What to expect from dining room table assignments and how the crew handles scooter parking at dinner
The truth about tender ports and Caribbean shore excursions for guests with mobility needs
Why booking an accessible stateroom is essential — and the shower design detail Judy couldn't stop talking about
Disney's ASL interpreters at the sail away party, and what accessibility looks like beyond the physical
"I could drive the scooter in — we could hold a dance. That room was so big." — Judy, on her accessible veranda stateroom on the Disney Treasure

Nathan and Alicea have sailed Disney Cruise Line 19 times — and they didn't hesitate for a second on their very first cruise. They booked a second sailing before they even got off the ship. Now returning guests on the show, the hosts of Adventures in Mousecapades are back to share cruise number 19: a five-night sailing on the Disney Magic out of Galveston, in concierge, with a Marvel Day at Sea they did not see coming when they booked it.
In this episode:
Flying into Houston, the Disney hotel/transport package from IAH, and where Galveston honestly ranks as an embarkation port (they're direct about it)
️ The newly refreshed Magic concierge one-bedroom suite — updated color palette, better layout, and Nathan's take that these may be the best multi-room suites in the fleet
♂️ A full Marvel Day at Sea breakdown: the Heroes Unite deck party with story-integrated fireworks, in-ship PA announcements from Yelena and Star-Lord, a massive themed dinner menu, and the character lineup across the day
Progresso port day with a private van, Mayan ruins (mobility-friendly!), and cenote swimming — trip-planned using AI co-pilot with Nathan on crutches two months post-knee-replacement
Sterling's viral bread reviews: crunch scores, taste scores, and whether the dip was approved
Honest thoughts on the Magic's age, what a farewell season should look like, and whether DCL should auction off ship artifacts for charity
"It displaces pirate night. It was absolutely fantastic... from a deck party perspective of that kind of thing." — Nathan

Before the Disney Believe sets sail, Sam and Brian went live with CT from Tin Foil Mouse Ears to put their predictions on record — and they held nothing back. From a potential Fantasia Grand Hall to a Seven Dwarfs diamond mine bar, a Moana luau restaurant, and a bold case for Encanto on the main stage, this is the Disney Believe speculation episode DCL fans have been waiting for.
In this episode:
Grand Hall theming debate: Fantasia with Sorcerer Mickey, Frozen with Anna and Elsa, or something nobody's predicting?
Walt Disney Theater picks — CT and Sam both land on Encanto and Tangled; Brian is skeptical of his own guesses
Restaurants: why a Moana-themed luau is the can't-miss prediction, and where Mushu's Garden fits in
CT's boldest lounge call: "Nowhere" — a Guardians of the Galaxy Collector's Museum bar with interactive cases on the walls
Godmother predictions: Lin-Manuel Miranda, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and even Bob Iger all get a hearing
The trio reach unanimous consensus on what Disney's next ship after the Believe will be called
Plus: CT shares a charity close to his heart — Boots to Beaches, which provides restorative vacations to combat veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families. Go check them out.
Be sure to connect with CT (aka "Tin Foil Mouse Ears") on Instragram and Threads to follow along with even more of his amazing predictions and prognostications. Or, subscribe to the DCL Duo's Substack to get them delivered to your inbox.

In this episode:
How Carissa went from "I'm not a cruise person" to Gold Castaway Club status after five sailings
The helicopter dog-sledding excursion in Alaska she almost skipped — and why she's so glad she didn't
A registered dietitian's honest take on how to eat well on a Disney cruise without stressing yourself out
Why her son loves the Oceaneer Club while her daughter makes a beeline for the concierge lounge
Her favorite DCL ship class, her hot take on Animator's Palette, and what she's most excited to experience on the Disney Destiny

He wasn't expecting to love a Disney Cruise Line ship more than the Dream — the one that started it all for his family. But after seven nights on the Disney Treasure sailing the Western Caribbean, Rob is a confirmed Wish Class convert. From the Aladdin-themed grand hall that moved him to near-tears to a spontaneous moment of grace at Mystic Mountain in Jamaica where a zip line worker personally guided his nervous eight-year-old daughter through her first zip, this episode is a reminder of what makes Disney Cruise Line unlike anything else on the water.
In this episode:
☠️ Why Rob's daughter picked the Western Caribbean itinerary — and the YouTube rabbit hole that led to Jamaica's bobsled at Mystic Mountain
Wish Class first impressions: the Aladdin grand hall, Happy Haunt on the Treasure, and why missing the districts didn't matter for this family
Three (okay, four) evenings at Hook's Barbary — reserve whiskeys, Old Fashioned classes, and a bartender who's been with DCL since the very first ships
The Moana stage show through the eyes of a Broadway-goer: "Yes, they're shorter shows, but are they still Broadway caliber? Like absolutely."
️ Cabana strategy at Castaway Cay: Mickey & Minnie vs. Sandcastle — and why location matters more than prestige when you've got an active kid
✈️ What happened when the post-cruise flight home got canceled — and why a surprise night at Wilderness Lodge saved the ending
"I could have probably stayed in there for hours if I wasn't pulled out by my wife and daughter." — Rob, on the Haunted Mansion Parlor

Luciana sailed the Disney Adventure four times in a row — back to back to back to back — starting with the maiden voyage. She watched this ship go from figuring itself out in real time to hitting its stride, and she's here to tell us everything. From the reservation chaos of sailing one to a full ship of 6,200 guests by sailing four, no one has seen this ship evolve the way she has.
In this episode:
How the Disney Adventure's operations, reservation systems, and onboard experience changed dramatically from the maiden voyage through sailing four — including what Disney quietly fixed along the way
A full breakdown of all six rotational restaurants across three districts, plus specialty dining at Mike and Sully's (teppanyaki, omakase, and a paid lunch option most guests don't know about) and Palo
Why character access on the Adventure is a genuine scarcity problem — and how Concierge guests got characters up to eight times a day while the rest of the ship scrambled for selfies
What staterooms are actually like: the category quirks, the "nanny room" mystery inside the Concierge Inside cabin, and which room type Luciana would book again in a heartbeat
The fireworks experience, the sold-out premium viewing area, and whether it's actually worth $49
Who this ship is really for — and why it's okay that it's different
"It's okay to be different... yes, it's not a normal Disney ship, yes you don't walk in and there's an atrium with people clapping and saying your name... but it has its pros and cons like everything. All the ships — I actually love all the Disney ships." — Luciana

Rich flew from Utah to Singapore on carry-on luggage only — three nights on the Disney Adventure's maiden voyage — and came back with a verdict that surprised even him. This is a first-hand guest review of DCL's newest and largest ship from an American who paid his own way, packed light, and ate his way through nearly every dining venue on board.
In this episode:
What boarding the Disney Adventure actually looks like — no atrium name call, no Cloudum, and a ship app that was down at embarkation
The omakase experience at Mike & Sulley's that Rich ranks as his best meal ever on a Disney ship — topping Remy, Palo, and Enchante
Why the Iron Cycle coaster still wasn't running on the maiden voyage and the $100 onboard credit DCL offered in response
How a ship built for 6,000 passengers felt with 3,800 on board — and what the crowd actually looked like (mostly Asian guests, roughly 20–25% American)
The door decorating culture on board: 100+ Duffy Polaroids on one stateroom door, and why Rich came home determined to step up his game
Whether the 20+ hours of travel is worth it — and why Rich's wife had them mentally rebooked for December before they even cleared the gangway
"We were on our way off the ship, we were like, we're done. Like we came, we saw, we conquered, we're good. We hadn't even taken off yet. My wife, we're talking about, again, like our trip in December, coming back with the kids, experiencing it again." — Rich

Jeremiah from Laughing Place sailed the Disney Adventure — Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, homeported in Singapore — on the maiden voyage, and he joins Sam and Brian LIVE to give the full debrief. From a muster drill that was a "giant cluster" to a stage show that just might be the best Disney has ever put on a ship, this is the most honest first look at the Adventure you'll find anywhere.
In this episode:
The rides situation: the Iron Man coaster was still down on the maiden, the Pym Cars are a tiny circular track, and the "secret" hot dogs are just... hot dogs
The "Remember" stage show featuring WALL-E and EVE — why Jeremiah calls it the best Disney jukebox show since the 90s and the one scene guaranteed to make you cry
No adult-only spaces on the entire ship — and what happens to the pools once the kids arrive
Embarkation day: no grand atrium entrance, muster chaos, and a sail-away party that happened multiple times before the ship even left the dock
Food highlights and lowlights: bao buns, real-heat Indian dishes, a legendary limoncello soufflé at Palo, and a pizza counter the size of a couch
We kick off Season 7 with the big news: a new Wish Class ship is coming in 2027 with Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana, and The Little Mermaid on board
"The ship is great. It's just not my Disney ship. It doesn't scream all the Disney that I want... the shows are amazing, the cast members top-notch, but it just isn't a complete vacation for me." — Jeremiah, Laughing Place

Jennifer has been on 17 Disney Cruise Line sailings since 2017 — and she boarded the Disney Destiny mid-blizzard, flying out of Indianapolis on Saturday just as the storm hit. What followed was five nights of Marvel theming, villain-themed bars, Pride Lands dinners, and the kind of adult-heavy sailing that catches even platinum cruisers off guard. If you've been curious about the Destiny but aren't sure how it holds up for experienced DCL sailors who aren't die-hard Marvel fans, this is the episode.
In this episode:
Why a late-January sailing on the Destiny still felt like a packed adult crowd — even at 60% capacity
With Great Power: the exact timing strategy you need to actually get a seat
️ Pride Lands' first AND second night menus — including the dishes Jennifer wished she could have ordered twice
The best drink Jennifer's husband discovered on the Destiny — and it wasn't on any menu
Solo music trivia domination, Ziya and Gamble storytellers, and why the Destiny's cast is something special
️ Pre-cruise Fort Lauderdale tips: where to stay, when to arrive, and why nonstop flights matter more in January
"I think the thing that's really interesting about the Destiny is how it changes. The dynamic of the room changes depending on who is in the room... and how that changes the mood of the room, I thought was really cool and something they haven't done on another ship." — Jennifer

Whitney has sailed Norwegian Haven, Virgin Mega Rockstar, and Celebrity Suite Class. So when she tells you Disney Destiny concierge is worth it for the service — she has receipts. In this live episode, Whitney shares her first Disney Destiny concierge sailing: the planning wins, the honest critiques, and the breakfast sandwich she cannot stop thinking about.
In this episode:
️ Why concierge value is ship-and-itinerary dependent — and how to think through the decision
The 4-guest Castaway fishing excursion that's essentially concierge-exclusive — and the barracuda that stole the show
The concierge breakfast sandwich that Whitney dreams about (and has tried and failed to recreate at home)
An honest look at Hercules on the Destiny with cast two, plus Whitney's take on Ziya and Gamble
How the drink window makes you feel tethered to the lounge — and what NCL and Virgin do better
️ How early boarding let Whitney check off Dr. Facilier's Parlor before most guests had even boarded
"I find it really interesting that I've gotten on the last two concierge cruises the post-survey that specifically asked about drink packages. It's curious to me if maybe that's something that they're exploring." — Whitney

Lauryn is a Disney-specialist travel advisor who has sailed DCL to Norway, Alaska, and back — but her holiday Adventures by Disney Danube River Cruise was a different kind of trip entirely. Traveling with her 11-year-old, her 6-year-old, and her 76-year-old mom, Lauryn booked one of the last two cabins on a sold-out sailing, celebrated two family birthdays on board, rang in the New Year watching fireworks light up the Danube from Vienna — and then got stranded in Budapest for three extra days when a storm canceled their flight home. She'd do it all again.
In this episode:
What the "Magic Holidays" post-Christmas itinerary includes — and how it differs from the Christmas markets sailing Sam and Brian took
What really happens when a broken lock or low water levels force a mid-cruise ship switch (twice) — and why it's less disruptive than you'd think
The salt mines, the marionette show, the Spanish Riding School, the Buda Caves — which excursions were the biggest hits with the kids
New Year's Eve on the Danube: what it's actually like to watch fireworks from the river in Vienna
A full DCL vs. ABD Danube rapid fire: food, service, cleanliness, cabins, kids activities, and the ultimate "which would you pick tomorrow?" question
Can a 6-year-old really hang on a European river cruise? (Short answer: yes, if she's Lauryn's daughter.)
"We're on the river and the fireworks are going off all on the river. The whole Danube is just glowing with fireworks... everyone was like, can we be on a river cruise every year for New Year's?" — Lauryn Fischer

Disney content creator Drew the Disney Dude has documented Walt Disney World from every possible angle — but he'd never been on a Disney Cruise Line ship. Disney changed that with an invitation to sail the Disney Magic on a five-night Marvel Day at Sea out of Galveston, and by disembarkation morning, Drew was emotional saying goodbye to his servers and already eyeing his next sailing.
In this episode:
Drew's complete Marvel Day at Sea experience — Avengers Training Initiative, the Star-Spangled Salute, Heroes Unite, and why the background music changing throughout the day blew his mind
️ A first-timer's take on rotational dining, Rapunzel's Royal Table, and his first Palo dinner (and why he says he'll never skip Palo again)
How Tangled the Musical and Disney Dreams stack up to parks entertainment — and the Walt Disney Theater cast moment that stuck with him most
️ The Chichen Itza port adventure, staying on board in Cozumel, and what finally convinced a hesitant traveler that DCL was worth the trip to Galveston
Deck eight veranda moments, 12+ soft serves, and the quiet magic of a ship that feels like a city at sea
How Drew's creator mindset shaped the experience — and where he wants to sail next
"I would pay for a cruise out of pocket now, not even thinking twice about it because I know what I'm getting." — Drew the Disney Dude

When Laura Beck booked a transatlantic crossing on Cunard's Queen Mary 2, she wasn't chasing luxury — she was solving a very specific problem: how do you move an Old English Bulldog from the UK to the United States when cargo flights won't take her breed? The answer: the Queen Mary 2's on-board kennel facility, 20 kennels on Deck 12, and eight days at sea.
In this episode:
How Laura navigated the surprisingly simple (but nerve-wracking) process of getting Ruby cleared for US entry — CDC forms, vet checks, and the rabies vaccination that's technically optional but really isn't
What daily life in the kennels actually looks like — visiting hours, outdoor deck time, doggy seasickness, and the kennel masters who made it work
The Queen Mary 2 vs. Disney Cruise Line: a frank comparison covering ship size, dining, dress codes, service levels, and the auto-gratuity Laura removed for the first time in her cruising life
The $125 behind-the-scenes ship tour — bridge, engine room, 700-portion Beef Wellington kitchen prep, and a fascinating conversation with the ship's doctor about transatlantic medical emergencies
What it's like to be in your early 30s on a ship where the average passenger age is 65–70 (bridge lessons help)
Laura's honest bottom line: she'd choose Cunard again for Ruby — but for a vacation sailing? Disney wins, and she now knows exactly why.
"I have underestimated that... that friendliness and that personability makes such a difference." — Laura Beck

Jeremiah from LaughingPlace.com ended up on the Disney Adventure's shakedown cruise almost by accident — and he's got the receipts. Nine nights aboard the world's 13th largest ship, sailing from Tokyo to Singapore, with no media prep and no playbook. What he found will genuinely surprise you.
In this episode:
What it actually feels like to navigate a ship this massive — and why Jeremiah compared it to walking into Disney's California Adventure for the very first time
Why the entertainment, including the show "Remember," is the single biggest reason to consider booking this ship
The Navigator app reservation system that governs everything on board — dining, shows, character meet and greets, even rides — and why it could get complicated fast at full capacity
The honest take on staterooms, hallways, and whether the Adventure feels like a Disney ship
The real deal on the onboard rides: the Iron Cycle coaster, the Groot Spinner, and the Pym cars — and what the crowd capacity reality actually looks like
Jeremiah's fourth-option answer to whether U.S. fans should fly to Singapore for this ship
"The three things that would bring me back is entertainment, entertainment, entertainment." — Jeremiah, LaughingPlace.com

Vanessa and Andrew sailed the Disney Dream and the Disney Destiny back-to-back out of Port Everglades — and they're here to break down every detail, from what's actually changed on the Destiny since the Maiden Voyage to why the side-by-side transfer process was, frankly, a hot mess.
In this episode:
What the side-by-side sailing transfer really looks like — the confusion, the letter, the luggage porter, and how to navigate it if you're traveling with accessibility needs
The Destiny three months post-Maiden: Zaya & Gamble are better than ever, the Navigator app now has a search function, and the accessible stateroom bathrooms got a meaningful upgrade
Accessibility highs and lows across both ships — from the dream class's spacious hallways and Deck 4 promenade to the Destiny's tighter dining rooms
Lookout Cay accessibility: Moby mats are there, but the route to them still involves sand ️
Why the Golden Mickeys still hits — and what changed since the last time you saw it
DCL's new bounce-back offer and the 30% savings promotion: what you need to know (and why a travel agent is your best friend for both)
"I talked to like four different people, got four different answers... I finally did the chat on the DCL website and... they were able to link the two reservations together." — Vanessa

A Disney fan from across the pond joins the show this week!
Sam sits down with Ewan from Essex in the UK to talk about his recent back-to-back sailing on the Disney Magic out of Port Canaveral. From his childhood love of Disney stories to finally sailing Disney Cruise Line, Ewan shares what made this sailing so memorable.
In this episode we discuss:
• What it’s like sailing back-to-back on Disney Cruise Line
• Why the Disney Magic remains a fan favorite ship
• Experiencing classic Broadway-style shows like Tangled: The Musical and Twice Charmed
• The difference between pandemic-era sailings and today’s Disney Cruise experience
• Tips for international travelers sailing Disney Cruise Line
As Ewan told us when talking about the entertainment onboard:
“I think Magic has absolutely the best show lineup because of Tangled and Twice Charmed. Those are just phenomenal productions.”
If you’re considering sailing on the Disney Magic or planning a back-to-back Disney cruise itinerary, this episode is packed with insights and stories from a passionate Disney fan who made the trip from the UK to experience it.

A surprise Concierge upgrade. A hurricane hovering over the Southern Caribbean. And a Disney family with deep roots in Puerto Rico.
This week we’re joined by Virgil to share his family’s Southern Caribbean sailing aboard the Disney Magic out of San Juan — and this one is packed with heart, humor, and a little embarkation-day chaos.
From a complimentary Concierge upgrade call that felt like pure pixie dust to flying in almost on embarkation day (don’t do it, friends ), this episode delivers storytelling at its finest.
We cover:
• A meaningful Puerto Rico connection and celebration of life
• Hurricane Melissa and how it impacted the sailing
• Antigua rum-making and a beach straight out of Pirates of the Caribbean
• St. Kitts monkey photos that made the kids’ Top 3 moments
• Flamingos in Bonaire
• Wish Class vs Dream Class debate
• Why cruising now beats the parks for their family
• And yes… the onboard welcome vs the DCL Villain debate

Ryan joins us to share his family’s 5-night sailing aboard the Disney Magic out of Galveston — complete with Thanksgiving in Texas, Buc-ee’s brisket runs, a Progreso cave swim adventure, and Palo brunch that may have outperformed his mom’s chicken parm (sorry, Mom).
In this episode we cover:
Why Galveston is a fantastic (and often overlooked) Disney Cruise Line departure port
Buc-ee’s pilgrimages before and after sailing
Cozumel’s Kusa Beach Club experience
Progreso ruins + cave tubing adventure (and why it was the highlight)
Palo brunch strategy on Day 1
Teen club wins + tween transitions
AquaDunk vs AquaMouse debate
Zootopia 2 premiere at sea
Disney cruise merch magic and the power of the community
Ryan’s biggest takeaway? As the kids get older, the cruise evolves with them — more adventurous excursions, more independence… but still plenty of family time.

So much negativity, even at 1.3 speed I couldn't wait for the episode to end. Chad is absolutely unlistenable, sorry. I was hoping to hear a "real-talk" about DVC and how points work. I might just have to attend one of the seminars at Disneyland to get an understanding of that.
Great podcast! Lots of great info and so inspiring! I can honestly say I’m now officially jazzed to start planning my next cruise!
