Description
Whine with HR is hosted by Juls and Trish, two lawyers and HR professionals with 15+ years of experience, who figure it’s better to laugh at the craziness that is HR than to cry about it. In each episode, Juls and Trish will discuss the wine of the day that they’re drinking and the “whine” of the day that they’re thinking (about). Part comedy, part therapy, part helpful solutions. Join us with your beverage of choice. In your pajamas. From your couch.

Although these trends were starting prior to COVID, the pandemic did seem to bring into sharper focus for a lot of people how they want to work. Many individuals are choosing not to pursue the traditional 40-hour workweek with one employer; instead, more and more people are opting for freelancing opportunities with multiple employers. In this episode, we discuss how employers can embrace this shift in work dynamics rather than dreading it.

However, that's not the reality of it. It's about creating a shared understanding with your team about how you want to interact with one another. We're going to be discussing how to start the conversation, what to focus on, and, of course, sharing some great tips and tricks to leading the way. Grab your favorite beverage and join us!

Julie was drinking Clarendelle, a Bordeaux Blanc. It was a nice blend of several white varieties that made for a pleasing wine with soft notes of citrus, lemon, perhaps a little olive oil. Trisha was drinking Unshackled Cabernet Sauvignon by Prisoner Wine Company. She commented on its notes of blackberry, fig, and olive tapenade. This is one of her new favorites!
Everyone seems to be hiring right now, so we thought it was a good time to go over some of the most common mistakes companies make when recruiting. You know we never leave you without solutions though, so we've also included some best practices to help you find the right candidate for whatever position you are looking to fill! Join us - with your favorite beverage if you so choose - for our first episode of Season 2!!
