You probably don' realise just how much a pharmacy can help with a range of longer-term conditions and minor concerns. If required, they can also help you decide which service to use or whether you need to see a local GP or visit A&E. Dr Ranj chats with Dr Charlotte Hart, a GP partner at Radbrook Green Surgery in Shrewsbury and is the Clinical Director of Shrewsbury PCN. Dr Hart is a recognisable face of general practice within the local area and is Clinical Lead for one of the major primary care change programmes locally, regularly appearing in both the written and spoken media. Also joining Dr Ranj is Nigel Dugmore who is the superintendent pharmacist at Donnington Pharmacy in Telford and was awarded a British Empire Medal in 2021 for his efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic. The award specifically recognised the setting up of a team of volunteers to support shielding and vulnerable patients, as well as ensuring the delivery of more than 3,000 prescriptions.
