Trigger warnings (TW): Eating Disorders (ED), PTSD and Anxiety. Jacqui and Tanagh dive into the first topic of the second step of the #DaretoBeLove journey: PAIN In step 2 of the #DaretoBeLove journey, we move into the second element of the Four Elements of Self: The Mind. Here, we practice accepting ourselves through silencing our inner critic to process pain by looking deeply into our thoughts.Pain, be it mental, emotional or physical, is an emotion many of us prefer to avoid, sometimes at all costs. However, pain is perfectly natural, something we all feel, and it is a powerful teacher highlighting areas in our lives where a moment of pause is needed for healing to happen. Jacqui and Tanagh share stories of their relationship with pain, the lessons and the powerful emotions that pain brings forth.Once again, you are invited to check out the visual table of the Dare to Be Love Journey to help you understand the journey of real change.
Join Jacqui and Tanagh as they unpack the third step of the #DaretoBeLove Journey: Forgiveness. From an early age, most of us are taught that forgiving others is the ‘right’ thing to do. While we don’t oppose this notion, an even deeper step is necessary to heal from a situation where we feel wrong-done by. This step requires Forgiving Yourself for Wanting a Different Experience. This way, we can own the experience, celebrate the wisdom it affords us, grow and heal.Sometimes, terrible things happen to us at the hands of other people or circumstances. When we acknowledge that each person is merely acting out their trauma patterns because of their past experiences, we can step into the space of Love and realise that forgiving another is an act of kindness, not an act of unconditional Love. Forgiving ourselves for wanting a different experience, frees us from judging the other or the circumstance, surrendering our will to grace and compassion. This act of Love allows us to let the pain through and let go of our ego attachment to the story. It can sound cliché, but everything truly does happen for a reason and by changing our perspective, we can start to see these pain experiences as gifts. As Viktor Frankl so wisely said, ‘When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.’Jacqui and Tanagh share their personal stories of adopting this philosophy into their lives, and their struggles in doing so.

THE STEP BEFORE SELF-HELP: Meet Your Spirit beyond your body, mind and soul.As human beings of body, mind, soul and Spirit, we all have the ability to fully access Universal Wisdom. However, without a connection to our Individual Spirit, our inner and outer self-work is merely an ego narrative from the lower levels of self in body, mind and soul. Working with your Spirit allows you to truly heal physically, mentally and emotionally when doing self-help work.In this week’s episode, Jacqui and Tanagh dive into their favourite topic: what it means to Meet Your Spirit and why integrating your Spirit into your body, mind and soul practices is so important before starting your healing journey, and the benefits of doing so. There are many ways to access your Spirit. However, many of these methods prove unsustainable and sometimes even harmful to our health. Join Jacqui and Tanagh as they shed light on how to create a sustainable connection to your Spirit and how to bring awareness to how your ego hooks into your stories, thoughts, words and actions. In this episode, Jacqui and Tanagh discuss the second Dare to Be Love Topic: SUFFERING. Witnessing and acknowledging our suffering allows us to SEE ourselves, freeing us from the unhealthy ego.Suffering is a chaotic time for any of us. It triggers the emotions that many of us often want to avoid or sometimes pretend not to exist. If we allow ourselves to open our story of suffering to the perspective of Love, we can then change our perspective and see that it gives us a beautiful opportunity to soften, heal and celebrate the painful experience. Jacqui and Tanagh openly discuss their relationships to their suffering and how they practice working through this suffering from an integrated space of Spirit, body, mind and soul, opening them to Universal Wisdom, thereby affording complete healing. Once we can recognise that the cause of our suffering comes from a space of wanting a different experience, we can then forgive ourselves for wanting this different experience and allow the perspective of Love to infuse our blame, guilt and shame stories with the growth and gift it affords us.  Integrate your Spirit into your Body, Mind and Soul practices by Meeting Your Spirit with Jacqui today.
Jacqui and Tanagh examine the essential differences between courage and bravery in this episode. BRAVERY is the heart of a Spiritual Warrior and sees us pushing through our fears, doubts and concerns, be it for ourselves or others, to complete a task even when the task is not aligned with our authentic selves. In contrast, COURAGE is the heart of a Spiritual Revolutionary where we meet a task from a space of Love and non-resistance, causing no harm to ourselves or others. With the courage of Love, we widen the gap between our trigger and our response. This way, we can see and be aware of the moments we get it right, and when we do mess up, we can open to compassion and the beauty of the moment beyond our unhealthy ego-bound justifications driven by shame, guilt or blame.Life is filled with chaos and challenges. How we show up and move through this turbulence in the world makes all the difference! Join Jacqui and Tanagh as they unpack how you can widen the gap between your triggers and responses, and reignite the Spiritual Revolutionary within you, thereby increasing your self-awareness and access to Love.To learn more about the differences between a Spiritual Revolutionary and a Spiritual Warrior? Guest: Devina SewsunkerIn this week’s episode, our first guest, Devina Sewsunker, shares her story. From being crippled by her fear and anxiety of driving on highways, Devina shares how she accessed the courage to face her fear, find Love for her chaos and thrive.Being a confident driver for many years, Devina developed a fear of driving on highways after the birth of her two children. Not being able to predict the drivers’ movements around her, Devina fell into states of panic, leaving her stranded on the side of the Kwa-Zulu Natal highways, alone, scared and calling for help. Living with this fear for years, Devina finally made the courageous choice to date her fear. On a Saturday morning earlier this year, Devina turned to her spiritual practices, prayed, chanted and took the wheel to the highway once more. Thinking she had merely survived this fear, Devina came home to find a Facebook Dare to Be Love post, opening her perspective to the Love and understanding that she had not only survived but thrived! To some, this is an everyday task. But to Devina, this was a fear that had control over her. Jacqui and Devina unpack how Devina found enlightenment in her story of overcoming by being integrated in Spirit, affording her a toolbox for all challenges to come.
Trigger warning: Substance Abuse and Eating Disorders.Change is constant, making life unpredictable. All too often, change (natural, planned or unplanned) presents the unknown and triggers fear. This fear is natural, as our brain can perceive this unknown as a danger. However, there are tools and techniques we can adopt when faced with the challenges of change to help us move through the chaos to access courage and open our perspective to Love.In this week’s episode of Finding Love in the Chaos of Life, Jacqui and Tanagh dive into the first topic of the Dare to Be Love Journey: Change. Tanagh shares two stories where she is moving through the waters of change: one where the change has been easy due to a full connection with her Spirit. In the second story, however, Tanagh is amid the turbulence, still seeking this full connection. Jacqui and Tanagh break down these chaotic stories and examine how to approach them through the lens of Love to manifest the miracle of changed perception and inner peace. Next, Jacqui walks Tanagh through the Dare to Be Love Journey steps, shining light on Tanagh’s enlightened Self in her easily resolved change. After that, they look at how Tanagh can find enlightenment around her unresolved pain story by integrating her Spirit into the challenge. Please note: The stories shared in this episode involve discussions around eating disorders (ED), eating disorder recovery, and substance abuse and addiction. Should you not be in the space to participate in/be witness to conversations of this nature, please be gentle with yourself and wait until such a time that you are ready.
Have you ever felt that a belief you grew up with, or the one your family and friends hold dear, no longer or never did, resonate with you? So have we. Change can be hard, but not following your intuition and a true resonance with Love/God can be more challenging. In today’s episode, we share one of our greatest challenges: Our individual journeys of questioning our childhood conservative Christian narratives and the resistance we faced along the way. At times, this left us feeling isolated and even fearful of sharing our questions and thoughts with those closest to us.With many faiths to choose from, ultimately, we can all choose our own path to connect with God/Love/Universal Wisdom (call it what you may). This episode focuses on having the courage to question if we are practising our connection with our Higher Power through the lens of Love or fear. The Spiritual Revolutionary within each of us only knows Love. So join us as we share our stories from fear to Love.Disclaimer – In no way are Jacqui or Tanagh opposed to any form of faith, especially those mentioned in this episode. Jacqui and Tanagh support the teachings from all faith leaders, mystics, philosophers, psychologists and other teachers infused with Love and inclusion. We do not discriminate or judge the teachings of others. We believe that access to a spiritual life and a connection with God/Love/Universe/Source, call it what you will, is available to all and does not require a single or specific dogma. The content and opinions mentioned in this episode of Finding Love in the Chaos of Life are based on Jacqui and Tanagh’s experiences, respectively and individually, and are not directed or generalised to any group of people or individuals. Here we reflect on our own experiences and beliefs through the courageous lens of Love.
What does Finding Love in the Chaos of Life mean? How do we open our perspective to Love to find enlightenment around a challenging story? What does it mean to Be a Being of Love with all we believe, think, say and do?In 2010, The Universe gifted Jacqui Burnett the Dare to Be Love Journey: a 4-step process that we can use to work through any situation we face in life, no matter how challenging it appears, to find inner peace. By working through this 4-step process of unpacking our beliefs, thoughts, behaviours and finally, our spoken words, we connect to and integrate the 4 Elements of Self: body, mind, soul and individual Spirit, thereby connecting us to Universal Wisdom. Join us as we discuss how you too can integrate spiritually and expose your guilt, shame and blame pain stories to the perspective of Love, thereby silencing your inner critic and celebrating the experience. Before listening to this episode, check out the visual table of the Dare to Be Love Journey to help you understand and follow along in this life-changing conversation. https://jacquiburnett.com/faqs
