In an ever evolving world, it is important to mentally and physically strengthen our children but not withstanding we as parents must be mindful of the manner we go about it to avoid raising a child with low self esteem and doubts in their abilities we should always lead with love and compassion, for all children one day become adults but remain children at heart. The act of control in itself consciously and subconsciously impacts a child's development and how they handle life events and relationships all through their life. Listen to Jecinta Powell and I discuss a few ways parents might be getting it all wrong.
Age is only but a number they say, but in the world we live in it is used as a tool of control and stigmatisation against women, with all the nuances and opinions it was important to listen to a male perspective on the subject. Dj Picasso and i delve into the topic and he lets us in on what he actually thinks. Do you think 30's is old.
As with everything in life that has an advantage there is also a disadvantage. The empowerment of women in the last century has slowly seen an upward trend in out- spoken women because of the liberation in financial, sexual and general freedom of choice and rights, which is wonderful. But i believe some norms were right from "the days of shackles" eg; The act of chivalry and courting. Listen to my guest host Ify Obu and I chit- chat away as we give instances and our honest thoughts on the topic.

Bits of advice with a dash of story time to buttress the points made. A must listen for a woman, from a male perspective.
My guest, Harriet oyeh and I ask and give our 2 cents on a very crucial question " is the BBL important".  There is an ever rising epidemic of women getting their bodies done for societal validation at the expense of their health and mental well being, the craze to be perfect has clouded the minds of a majority of those that go under the knife, forgetting that perfection is un attainable in this world. We as women have to learn to love ourselves just the way we are and look beyond the physical; Inward realising that we have a lot of potential and our outward appearance has nothing to do with all that greatness, coupled with the risks attached to said procedures we should ask ourselves if surgery really is worth it.
Jecinta Powell, my guest of the week and I discuss the concept of love and its relationship with a woman's overall well being. We emphasise the importance of prioritising  yourself and ignoring societal expectations at your detriment.  Until one learns to love oneself she will never experience freedom and cannot spread positivity
