With the prevalence of abortion in the United States, many women have lived with the pain of regret and shame over the decision they made under varying circumstances. A large number of those women made the choice to abort their child in the 1960s and 70s and have carried the secret with them into their advanced age, burdened by tremendous guilt.
Co-hosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel sit down with special guest, Laura Mullenix to discuss her own moment of decision, and her unique burden to minister to the women still held captive by their regret. With the grace of Jesus, Laura offers a listening ear, and lovingly leads these women to forgiveness of themselves, and to true Biblical healing and freedom through her ministry, Daughters Restored.

What is Biblical love? 1 John 4:8 tells us that "God is love", therefore it is God Who defines it. In our human understanding, we sometimes twist love into something it is not, basing it solely on our feelings or emotions. Biblical love, God's love, however, is much deeper.
In this episode, co-hosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel look to the Scriptures to discover what love truly is and how it is expressed in and through us.

The Lord created our mind in a masterful way. Many scriptures instruct us in ways to allow the Holy Spirit to help us control our thoughts, which overflows into our behavior.
With the Israelites of the Old Testament as our example, we can see the ways in which mindsets can either keep us stuck in a wilderness mentality, or help us move into the "promiseland" where the promises of God reside. The Lord has given us everything we need for life and godliness, including the ability to fix our thoughts on Him and see victory in our lives.
In this episode, cohosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel discuss 8 mindsets of the "Promiseland" as depicted through Scripture. Learn how to renew your mind with the Living Word.

As Christians, we will likely go through difficult seasons where we feel spiritually dry. During these times, often called the "Wilderness", we sometimes lack the ability to detect God's nearness and goodness.
The Lord intended, however, for the wilderness to be a place where His provision and presence is the most noticed.
In the Old Testament, the account of the Israelites gives us a picture of what can happen when we get stuck in mindsets that keep us wandering in the wilderness rather than just passing through.
In this Part 2 episode, Co-hosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel discuss six additional mindsets that kept the Israelites wandering in the desert for forty years, rather than successfully moving into the Promiseland in what should have been an eleven-day journey.

We have entered election season in the United States. In a little less than a month, people in every city and state in America, will go to the polls to vote for the position of president. It has been said that it is one of the most important, if not the most important, elections in our nation's history, with many vital topics hanging in the balance.
As Christians, we have a responsibility to make our decisions and cast our vote according to Biblical values. When voting for flawed human candidates (Jesus isn't on the ballot), we can get hung up on the personality and mistakes of the individuals, when we should be looking at their policies.
In this episode, co-hosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel discuss the policies that Christians should care about and the critical issues that will be voted upon in this election. We are calling all Christ-followers to make sure they cast their vote this election, and to be reminded that the Bible is clear on modern-day issues. Our duty to exhibit Christ's love to all and to stand firm on the Truths put forth in His Word.

Offense. Jesus tells us in His Word that they will most certainly come. How we handle them says a lot about our spiritual and emotional maturity. The Lord gives us an opportunity to process whatever offended us with Him, in order that we don't become bitter and live from a place of wounding.
This discussion is Part 2 of episode 36, where co-hosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel talk about what author and Bible teacher, John Bevere, calls The Bait of Satan.

Some people believe that God does not perform miracles today. Many claim that His miracle-working power ceased with the close of the New Testament. That the amazing accounts we read about in the Scriptures are not for modern times.
The events involving Michael Buckingham that took place on July 26, 2015, and the days thereafter, prove that God does indeed perform miracles today. In this episode Michael, and his wife, Jenhttps://kfor.com/news/edmond-boys-awarded-for-saving-dad-from-drowning/nifer, share the incredible story of how the Lord Jesus miraculously healed Michael after a near-drowning.
You will be amazed at an awesome, all-powerful God, and encouraged to believe Him for big things!

It is easy to be tossed to and fro in the "sea" of life. A question that is helpful for all of us to ask is, "what are you tethered to"?
In this episode, co-hosts, Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel are joined by special guest, Addison Brown to discuss the benefit of being anchored by the Word of God. Addison shares her journey to discover how God's Word has given her understanding, a deepened faith, a better grasp on Who God is, personal direction, and a foundation of Truth in a world full of deception.
You will be encouraged to push past the barriers of distraction and perfection to discover the sometimes over-complicated simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ found in the Scriptures.

Alcohol and substance abuse are detrimental to a marriage.
The amount of stress, familial distress, anger, resentment, dysfunctional communication, financial strain, interruption of healthy family dynamics, and negative mental health affects that alcoholism brings to a marriage is hard to quantify. However, statistics point to alcohol abuse leading to an increase in divorce rates by at least 20%.
With estimates showing that between 10% to up to 45% of marriages in the United States are impacted by alcoholism, this is a problem that the Church must address.
In addition to the destructiveness of dealing with an addiction in marriage, if co-dependence is present, the situation is further complicated.
Listen as Robin Riley discusses how she was confronted with her own co-dependence as she faced alcohol abuse in her marriage, and how recognizing it led to not only her own freedom, but her husband's as well.
In this episode, you will hear from a believer who clung to the Promises of God, sought community support, and ultimately fought for and found recovery and redemption in her marriage.

Many people will never find themselves in the spotlight, or in a position of fame or notoriety.
However, everyone will be faced with the decision of whether we choose to take what the world has to offer, or forsake the world to follow Jesus.
In this episode, Aly Gooch, wife of professional golfer, Talor Gooch, shares how she has found that Jesus is greater than anything the world could ever give, how the peace that comes from Him truly satisfies, and that her biggest desire is that she would point others to the joy and grounding that comes from placing your life in Jesus' hands.
In an authentic and vulnerable way, Aly will encourage listeners to persevere in the face of opposition, and to pursue a life of genuine faith.

Many times in life we place our focus on future goals and dreams instead of maximizing what we have right in front of us. We rush into doing what we think is best instead of asking God what His best is for us, missing the most critical piece in our quest to leverage impact in the Kingdom and our everyday lives. We often miss what is best, for what is good.
In this episode, hosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel talk with executive coach and author of the new book, Now Before Next, Jantzen Miller, about the idea that stewardship as a Christian looks like fully engaging what you have, while working for what you want, as you employ spiritual awareness and discernment.
Jantzen shares with us about the difference in laboring in God's strength versus striving in our own, as well as a lot of practical advice about how to lead our lives in a way that honors and glorifies God, while bringing the most harmony.
So much wisdom packed into one episode!
