I am Dr. Kailyn Galloway, a mom and naturopath who loves everything postpartum. My son was diagnosed with clubfeet while I was pregnant. He was a healthy baby, but my postpartum experience was nothing like I thought it would be. Despite my education, I still felt anxious about whether I could be the mom my son needed me to be.

To find peace, I tried everything - researching, meditating, and journaling. No matter what I did, I worried I wasn’t enough. But here’s the thing: postpartum anxiety is a reality for many, and it’s okay to feel overwhelmed. You’re not alone. Through focusing on my mental health, doing lots of research, and trial and error, I was able to create a practical plan for post-baby life that worked for me. And now I’m excited to share it with you!

If you want to feel calmer, more patient, and confident as a mom...

If you’re interested in practical stress-reduction techniques that fit your hectic schedule…

If you want to understand your body’s changes in postpartum, use that to be more energetic and attentive…

Then you’ve found your sanctuary in the New Mom Naturopath podcast.

Amy shares her journey into hyperbaric oxygen therapy, beginning with her work in the commercial dive industry and transitioning to medical applications. The episode delves into the benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for postpartum healing, emphasizing its role in speeding up recovery at the cellular level and aiding the body's healing processes. Title: 120 | The 1st step to reducing anxiety in Postpartum as First-time Mom Welcome to the New Mom Naturopath Podcast! Exercise can significantly reduce anxiety in postpartum by leveraging the body's natural mechanisms for mood regulation. Physical activity stimulates the release of endorphins, which are natural mood lifters, and reduces stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, helping to alleviate anxiety. Regular exercise also boosts serotonin and dopamine levels, neurotransmitters critical for maintaining a positive mood. Engaging in various forms of exercise, such as aerobic activities, strength training, yoga, and outdoor pursuits, not only helps manage anxiety but also provides a sense of accomplishment and mental resilience. Incorporating enjoyable and consistent physical activity into daily life, whether through group classes, outdoor activities, or simply taking a walk, can be a powerful tool for new moms to manage postpartum anxiety effectively. It's hard to balance taking care of yourself, your baby, and managing the household tasks. That's when I decided to look into hiring some help to take the pressure off. I came across home advisor https://homeadvisor.pissedconsumer.com/review.html and found it incredibly helpful for locating reliable cleaning and maintenance services. The reviews were really insightful and helped me choose the right people for the job. If you're feeling the pressure of postpartum life and need some support around the house, I highly recommend checking it out. It made such a difference for me!
