Irish With Mollie is back! Mollie Guidera rejoins Jane and Hugh to help teachers and parents start the year strong with Irish.Mollie (@irishwithmollie) is an Irish teacher, author, and the most positive person you can meet when it comes to Gaeilge.We brought Mollie back on to help us break down what teachers can do to get off on the right foot with Gaeilge. We all know that there can be fear and pressure felt around the Irish language, and Mollie is full of practical advice - we discuss the games that can be played in Irish, the opportunities for exploring Irish history and folklore, and relating the language to the students' lives. This week, Jane and Hugh are joined by Angela Cummins, who has been teaching in autism classes for 27 years. Angela has a Masters in Education specialising in Autism, and is currently working on her Doctorate of Education.At the start of a new school year, there is so much to discuss. We look at how teachers in both mainstream and autism classes can set up their classrooms for their incoming students, and how they can best set expectations and routines. We also look at how teachers from all classes can support each other, and develop a better understanding of what goes on in each other's rooms.
