Have you ever made a confession of faith? Well to some degree or another, you make a confession of faith every time you open your mouth. Some creed is coming forth, some statement of faith or lack thereof is evident in what you are saying. This week we will once again see Paul speaking in defense of his life, but in that defense is a statement of faith. A confession. Join us as we examine his statements and seek to repeat them in word and deed.
This week we’ll see as Paul using a virtue that is not often emphasized in the Christian life, but is definitely prominent in some of the spiritual greats of history, that attribute is cunning. Paul’s life is on the line and his shrewd wisdom is on full display in sowing division in the ranks of Gods enemies.
Paul utilizes his track record with God to try and convince a Jewish crowd about the Good News of Jesus.
This week we join Paul as he arrives in Jerusalem and receives a greeting from his spiritual brothers, followed by a public relations campaign to improve Paul’s reputation. Our passage ends with a reception by Paul’s ethnic brothers, which is somewhat less than cordial. Join us as we discuss expectations regarding the reception of “brothers.”
This week we sill study Acts 21 where Paul is confronted by friends and perhaps the Holy Spirit giving directives and warnings to avoid Jerusalem. This text gives us an opportunity not just to consider dealing with our own persecution, but also how to handle the persecution of our fellow saints.
This week we’ll look at Paul’s explicit parting directives to Shepherds/Elders/Leaders of Asia Minor, in an emotionally-charged-charge to Christian leadership

How is the church to respond when confronted by a mob full of rage and confusion? This week we’ll consider not only how the gospel conquered the idols of Ephesus but also how the church is to engage with our own hostile world.
What does it take for the church to move the culture? This week we’ll examine a cultural tide that begins sweeping through Asia Minor, as we examine the impact of Christianity on Ephesus and the surrounding regions.
How significant is baptism? If baptism has been done is a sub-optimal way, is rebaptism necessary? Is being re-baptized even biblical? Join us this week as we observe a peculiar interaction with Paul and some disciples upon arriving in Ephesus, and discuss “course correction.”
Jesus told his followers to pray for the “Lord of the Harvest to send workers into the harvest.” This week we will take a look at such a worker raised seemingly from obscurity to become one of the central figures and leaders in the first century church. Join us as we look at Acts chapter 18 and discuss Apollos joining into the mission effort, as Paul begins his third missionary journey.
Join us for an inspiring sermon diving into Acts 18:1-22, where the Apostle Paul’s wild journey takes him to Corinth—a city of trade, vice, and divine purpose! Join us as we see how God bolstered Paul’s morale in the mist of his final trials of the second missionary journey.

This week, we will observe Paul go-to-war on the battlefield of ideas. He’s going to the marketplaces and into one of the most intellectually intimidating venues in the ancient world: The Athenian Areopagus… a stronghold of professional philosophers and debaters (Acts 17:16-34). Paul is not helpless, and he’s not stupid; Paul is clever and scrappy and going to ideological war for the Kingdom of God. Let’s take cues from him, stiffen our spines, and go mix-it-up for the Kingdom of God, and the souls of the lost. Kingdom. The theological clarity that we enjoy today is the result of debate and discussion of the saints through the history of the church. How such conflict should be navigated is illustrated for us in the council gathering described in Acts 15 and is our topic for this week’s message.
In Lystra Paul was left for dead – but he was not quite dead, and through many
tribulations the Kingdom advanced. We will see Paul is not dealing with what is seen as much as he is waging war with the invisible – the unseen realm of rebellious beings who were disarmed at the cross. Intrigued? Join us as we study Acts 14:19-28.
This week we’ll see God using conflict and controversy, religious confusion, and even social awkwardness to advance the gospel. Join us as we once again join Paul and Barnabas on the road in the region of Galatia (Acts 14)
