Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Season 2 Wrap Up
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager Season 2 Wrap Up. In this final episode of season 2, we wave goodbye to a generally mediocre season of Star Trek. We bring back the Louise Fletcher awards for acting, of course! And we cover the highs and lows of the season.
Voyager Season 2 Wrap Up
In this episode of the podcast, we discuss all things season 2 and we even throw in a little info about season 1. We discuss the best and worst episodes and even compare our ratings to our Deep Space Nine ratings! While we have found this season to be a bit mediocre, there are some gems and some great performances that we praise.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Basics, Part I
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E26: Basics, Part I. In this episode Seska is back and one of her wild plans finally works. Repeat characters Seska (Martha Hackett), Culluh (Anthony De Longis) and Lon Suder (Brad Dourif) are back to close out season 2. There is also a brief return of Chakotay's dad Kolopak (Henry Darrow).
Basics, Part I
Seska finally gets her wish and for some reason the Voyager crew is absolutely shocked. Despite numerous warnings we find ourselves completely unprepared for Seska's lies and devious behavior. She manages to lure Voyager into Kazon space where they are pecked to death by Kazon ducks. Lon Suder briefly reappears to try and convince Janeway that he's doing better and can contribute to the ship - however, this does not go well.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Resolutions
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E25: Resolutions. In this episode Janeway and Chakotay are stranded together for what might be a very long time. But never fear, it's really only about 46 minutes. This episode's guest star is a random monkey that Janeway keeps trying to befriend. He is not credited.
Resolutions
Chakotay and Janeway contract a virus grounding them on a lush but dangerous planet. With no cure for their illness in sight, Janeway sends Voyager on its way back home (which causes some real trouble in the remaining crew). On the planet, Janeway works on curing the virus while Chakotay works on making their new home a more comfortable place. Their uncertain future inevitably leads to some longing looks and sexy hand-holding. Very PG. Very Trek.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Tuvix
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E24: Tuvix. In this episode two crew members are merged in a transporter accident, leaving Janeway with a moral conundrum. It's a Starfleet mashup! Tom Wright guest stars as Tuvix.
Tuvix
When a transporter accident merges Neelix and Tuvok into a single new creature, the crew is forced to adapt to a new colleague. While Tuvix is affable and competent (and his uniform is cool), he is a new being who exists at the expense of Tuvok and Neelix. Tuvix pleads for his life as Janeway prepares to make an impossible decision.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: The Thaw
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E23: The Thaw. In this episode Voyager encounters some people in stasis on a damaged planet. Do they listen to the warnings and just leave them be? They do not. Does it all go horribly wrong? It does. Michael McKean guest stars as a creepy and murderous clown.
The Thaw
The crew finds some aliens stuck in stasis and decides to help (did they not see Space Seed?) Anyway...we send Harry and B'Elanna in to investigate and find the three aliens trapped in a weird world where a creepy clown is the manifestation of all of their fears. The clown can read their minds and has quite a stranglehold on anyone entering his realm. But never fear, he's come up against a bigger brain who isn't controlled by fear. And that brain is named Janeway.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Innocence
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E22: Innocence. In this episode Tuvok crash lands on a moon while looking for resources. He meets some scared children and immediately takes on the role of protector. Meanwhile the Drayans visit Voyager and are a bit stand offish.
Innocence
Tuvok meets a group of scared children while doing a resource survey on a moon of Drayan II. They are afraid of a monster called the Morrok who they say takes children in the night - while this story doesn't concern Tuvok, he is very surprised to find the children are terrified of their own people. Meanwhile, Janeway meets the head of the Drayans and finds her to be cool to Janeway's attempts to negotiate and communicate. When Voyager tries to rescue Tuvok, negotiations sour and the true nature of the children is revealed.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Deadlock
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E21: Deadlock. In this episode Janeway is in for some serious trouble when Voyager is somehow duplicated yet the two ships are sharing the same anti-matter. Janeway is about to have a very bad day while Ensign Wildman (played by Nancy Hower) finally gives birth (twice).
Deadlock
When Voyager passes through a plasma drift while hiding from the Vidiians, the ship is somehow duplicated. The Janeways work together to try and rejoin the two ships into one but the evil Vidiians have other ideas. This is an awesome episode of Trek, however Kim is unsure of how we handle the actual trauma the crew would suffer.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Investigations
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E20: Investigations. In this episode Tom's insubordination finally comes to a head and Neelix sort of invents YouTube (or morning shows in space). Martha Hackett makes a brief but memorable appearance as Seska. And we also get the story wrap-up of Jiminy Jonas whose real name is Mike!???? Jonas is played by Raphael Sbarge.
Investigations
Tom leaves the ship and Starfleet behind which upsets Neelix on the very same day he starts a closed-circuit TV show about life on the ship. When Harry makes fun of his light-hearted show, Neelix decides to become an Investigative journalist instead. This leads to him uncovering Tuvok and Janeway's secret plan involving Tom and the Kazon. This is a fun episode with a little Seska, a little snark, a little 90s journalism and an unexpected violent death!

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Lifesigns
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E19: Lifesigns. In this episode we (checks notes) rescue a member of the serial killing race the Vidiians so the holographic doctor can have a girlfriend??? Remember when we said this show was weird? Susan Diol guest stars as Dr. Danara Pel.
Lifesigns
The doctor rescues a Vidiian woman and then somehow falls in love with her. This is a very strange episode where our holographic doctor creates a holographic girlfriend and then "parks" with her on Mars. I mean we can't make this stuff up, this is what happens. At the same time, Tom continues to follow a seemingly dark path of insubordination.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Death Wish
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E18: Death Wish. In this episode we welcome the Q continuum and John de Lancie to the Voyager universe! When the crew bumps into a different Q (played by Gerrit Graham), the Q we know (and love?) arrives to cause trouble.
Death Wish
The crew accidentally frees an imprisoned member of the Q continuum which puts them in the middle of a philosophical battle between very powerful alien beings.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Dreadnought
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E17: Dreadnought. A mistake from B'Elanna's past comes back to haunt her.
Dreadnought
In this episode we bump into a Cardassian weapon from the Alpha Quadrant. While that is a surprise, it's an even bigger surprise that the weapon was programmed by B'Elanna and she is the only one who can stop it before it attacks a nearby planet. Janeway and Tuvok prepare to sacrifice Voyager if all other methods fail.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Meld
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E16: Meld. The roller coaster of Star Trek continues as we go from last week's wild Threshold to this week's very serious Meld. Tuvok does an ill-advised mind meld with an unstable Betazed and things go very badly. Guest star Brad Dourif plays the murderous crewman Lon Suder.
Meld
In this episode we waffle between a silly story going on in the holodeck where Tom is running an ill-advised betting pool to Tuvok investigating a murder and making some of his own bad decisions. Tuvok and the doctor quickly identify the murderer when a crewman turns up dead, but Tuvok begins to obsess about the motive behind the act. When he can't understand why crewman Suder committed this heinous act, Tuvok decides to try to get inside his mind. Well as you might expect, this does not go well and Tuvok begins to lose control of his emotions and his mind.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Threshold
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E15: Threshold. It's finally here! We've arrived at the most infamous Voyager episode there is! I don't even need to tell you what it's about, you already know! Join our lively discussion with guest host Attiba Royster and check out his Instagram page here for details on his upcoming events.
Threshold
Tom, Harry and B'Elanna manage to break the warp 10 threshold and while this seems like good news, many bad things are about to happen. Tom actually dies, but then comes back to life and starts evolving into some kind of lizard (or time lord). This is one wild and weird ride. If you've not seen this episode, prepare yourself for some bad stuff (involving veins, a tongue and salamander babies).

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Alliances
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E14: Alliances. In this episode, just when we think things can't get worse, they do! We somehow manage to make yet another enemy in the Delta Quadrant! What is with this place?
Alliances
Voyager is getting beat up by exceedingly annoying Kazon ships. Chakotay, in his (definitely) finite wisdom says we need to do something different and suggests we make some alliances with the Kazon. Well, this goes about as well as you would expect (Thanks Chakotay!). However, Neelix manages to find us a new option: the Trabe. Remember them? Well, the Kazon sure do. Friend or foe? It's the Delta Quadrant, what do you think!?

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Prototype
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E13: Prototype. In this episode, we rescue a robot floating in space and B'Elanna is determined to save it! We have some good prime directive talk in this episode directed by Jonathan Frakes!
Prototype
Voyager finds a damaged robot floating in space and decides to bring it on board. B'Elanna becomes obsessed with saving it and after she does, she's repaid by being kidnapped and compelled to help the robots procreate (not in that way). Tuvok tried to warn us, but we didn't listen and now the robots are going to kill us all.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Resistance
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E12: Resistance. In this episode, the Voyager crew gets mixed up in some societal unrest on an alien planet. Special guest star Joel Grey plays a confused man who thinks Janeway is his long lost daughter. And who can blame him, Kate Mulgrew looks amazing in this this episode!
Resistance
Voyager is in desperate need of something called tellerium to keep their warp engines running. They make a deal with some resistance fighters on a planet controlled by some nasty aliens called the Mokra. When a kindly but confused older gentlemen (Grey) rescues an injured Janeway, it seems like a good thing. But as he nurses her back to health, we realize this gentlemen thinks Janeway is his long lost daughter. Janeway needs to find her missing crew and keep her new friend alive.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Maneuvers
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E11: Maneuvers. She's baaaack! Seska (as played by Martha Hackett) is back and she has her eyes on the prize. Now the prize might be Voyager, but it also might be Chakotay. Who can say?
Maneuvers
A surprise attack by a Kazon ship reveals the return of Seska. Now why we weren't prepared for this, no one understands! But Seska is back and she is out for revenge - she wants to take control of Voyager and she also seems to want Chakotay back in her life. This is one weird villain. Chakotay goes on a personal mission of vengeance which puts everyone at risk and this sends Kim into a tizzy about bad leadership.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Cold Fire
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E10: Cold Fire. In this episode, we are reminded of how the entire series started when we run into the Caretaker's ex. And let me tell you, she is pissed!
Cold Fire
We've been keeping the Caretaker's remains in a microwave in Sickbay (I don't know why, but it's true). When those remains start buzzing, Voyager goes on the hunt for the Caretaker's mate. They get more than they bargained for when they run into some Ocampa living on a small version of the array from episode 1. Kes is thrilled to find some new friends, but not all is as it seems when she suddenly gains some new dangerous powers.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Tattoo
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E9: Tatoo. In this episode, we learn the origin of Chakotay's facial tattoo...but really who asked? Anyway, guest star Henry Darrow plays Chakotay's father and Douglas Spain plays a young Chakotay. Spoiler alert, if you don't want to see Chakotay's butt, you should avoid watching this episode and just listen to the podcast.
Tattoo
While on an away mission, Chakotay finds some familiar symbols on a moon in the Delta Quadrant which somehow leads to him learning the origins of his family's tribe. Chakotay goes through a series of flashbacks where we meet his father and learn of their antagonistic relationship.

Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Persistence of Vision
Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E8: Persistence of Vision. In this episode, Janeway is feeling the stress of the captain's chair, but when she begins to hallucinate everyone is worried. Guest stars Carolyn Seymour and Lindsay Haun play characters from janeway's holo novel who break free from the confines of the holodeck.
Persistence of Vision
Janeway is a bit cranky at the beginning of the episode as everyone wants a piece of her. The doctor orders some rest on the holodeck, but when the holo characters start wandering the hallways of the ship, Janeway worries she's losing her grip on reality.
