Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Cold Fire Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E10: Cold Fire. In this episode, we are reminded of how the entire series started when we run into the Caretaker's ex. And let me tell you, she is pissed! Cold Fire We've been keeping the Caretaker's remains in a microwave in Sickbay (I don't know why, but it's true). When those remains start buzzing, Voyager goes on the hunt for the Caretaker's mate. They get more than they bargained for when they run into some Ocampa living on a small version of the array from episode 1. Kes is thrilled to find some new friends, but not all is as it seems when she suddenly gains some new dangerous powers. What's this rebinge thing? It’s a re-watch of a thing you’ve already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines. In each episode we discuss "Women in the Future" and "Janeway's Leadership Corner" while over-analyzing everything. Be sure to listen to our previous episode S2E8: Tattoo where I've apparently just learned how to spell Tattoo. Next time... Join us next week for S2E11: Maneuvers. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Tattoo Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E9: Tatoo. In this episode, we learn the origin of Chakotay's facial tattoo...but really who asked? Anyway, guest star Henry Darrow plays Chakotay's father and Douglas Spain plays a young Chakotay. Spoiler alert, if you don't want to see Chakotay's butt, you should avoid watching this episode and just listen to the podcast. Tattoo While on an away mission, Chakotay finds some familiar symbols on a moon in the Delta Quadrant which somehow leads to him learning the origins of his family's tribe. Chakotay goes through a series of flashbacks where we meet his father and learn of their antagonistic relationship. Be sure to listen to our previous episode S2E7: Persistence of Vision where Janeway sees some holodeck characters roaming the halls of the ship. Next time... Join us next week for S2E10: Cold Fire. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Persistence of Vision Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E8: Persistence of Vision. In this episode, Janeway is feeling the stress of the captain's chair, but when she begins to hallucinate everyone is worried. Guest stars Carolyn Seymour and Lindsay Haun play characters from janeway's holo novel who break free from the confines of the holodeck. Persistence of Vision Janeway is a bit cranky at the beginning of the episode as everyone wants a piece of her. The doctor orders some rest on the holodeck, but when the holo characters start wandering the hallways of the ship, Janeway worries she's losing her grip on reality. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Parturition Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E7: Parturition. In this episode, we HOPEFULLY put an end to the Neelix jealousy story as Tom and Neelix are forced to deal with their tenuous relationship. This episode has a food fight, a new Janeway haircut, a weird puppet baby that hatches from an egg, the doctor giving terrible advice and Neelix acting like a toddler. It. Is. Wild. Parturition Voyager has found a planet that may have some resources, however we call this Planet Hell so I'm thinking maybe not...but of course we have to check it out. Janeway sends down her best pilot (Tom) and her best plant guy ???? (Neelix). This might seem like a good idea except Neelix is currently in a jealous rage over Tom's relationship with Kes and Tom is being a moron about it. So naturally they end up in a weird and dangerous situation where they have to work together to save the life of a rubber lizard chicken baby that may or may not be E.T. This is really what happens. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Twisted Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E6: Twisted. In this episode, most of the crew is trapped on the holodeck and can't make it back to the bridge. Meanwhile, Voyager itself appears to be twisting in space. Twisted The crew makes the mistake of trying to have some fun, leaving Tuvok and Harry on the bridge. When Voyager runs into some strangely distorted space anomaly, the ship starts changing shape. Decks aren't where they are supposed to be and Janeway is desperate to make it to the bridge. Meanwhile, Neelix continues to live in a state of barely controlled jealousy (not an attractive or entertaining thing to watch). Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Non Sequitur Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E5: Non Sequitur. Harry wakes up in an alternate reality where he never boarded Voyager. While this life seems pretty good, Harry needs to get back to his own reality. Guest star Louis Giambalvo plays Cosimo, Harry's only real ally. Non Sequitur Harry wakes up in bed with his girlfriend Libby in San Francisco. He wonders first if he's time traveled, but then he realizes he's landed in an alternate reality. He plays it cool at first, but eventually he realizes he has to get back to his own reality. At first his only friend seems to be the nearby coffee shop owner Cosimo, but eventually he finds Tom Paris also missed his chance to join Voyager and the two join together to fix whatever has broken. Be sure to listen to our previous episode S2E4: Elogium where Kes is a sweaty mess. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Elogium Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E4: Elogium. In this wild episode, the Voyager encounters some mating life forms in space which ultimately cause Kes to inappropriately jump into puberty. Elogium The Voyager crew once again goes after something they thinks is interesting and it causes them to lose control of the ship. Kes is negatively impacted in that she arrives in premature puberty and realizes this may be her only opportunity to have a baby. So she's in a crisis. Neelix is in a crisis (he even goes to Tuvok for parenting advice) and meanwhile, everyone else is just making jokes on the bridge. A weird episode. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Projections Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E3: Projections. In this episode, the doctor isn't sure what's real and what's a hologram (including himself). Dwight Schultz makes a surprise appearance as Lt. Barclay. We learn Barclay was involved in testing the EMH's interpersonal skills - and doesn't that explain a lot!? Projections This episode kicks off in wild fashion as the doctor appears to be alone on the ship! He does eventually find some people, but he begins to get confused about what is real and what is a program when a tricorder registers him as human! Many twists and turns in this episode and just when you think you've got it figured out, it goes in a different direction. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Initiations Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E2: Initiations. In this episode, Chakotay stumbles into some Kazon trouble when he takes a young wanna-be-warrior on board his shuttle. Aron Eisenberg guest stars as Kar who is a lot like a young Nog! We get some insight into the origins of the Kazon in this episode and we get a whole lot of bad hair and sunburns. Initiations Chakotay is off by himself in a shuttle performing a ritual to honor his father. But bad news for him, he's managed to find himself in Kazon space where a young Kazon boy is trying to make a name for himself by killing the Federation intruder. Things go badly for the boy and Chakotay ends up in the middle of some Kazon drama. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: The 37's Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S2E1: The 37's. In this episode, Voyager bumps into a red pickup truck floating in space. And if that isn't outlandish enough, we bring the truck on board AND IT STARTS. This is a bit of a wacky episode where the secret of what happened to Amelia Earhart is finally revealed. Although we don't really explain why she has feathered hair from the 90s. That's a mystery for a different day. The 37's When Voyager follows an SOS signal they find that Amelia Earhart, her navigator and a bunch of other people from the 1930s really were abducted by aliens and brought to the Delta Quadrant. If that isn't crazy enough, we also find that some of those people kidnapped were put into cryo-stasis and we decide it would be a great idea to just wake them all up. What are we thinking!? What's this rebinge thing? It’s a re-watch of a thing you’ve already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines. In each episode we discuss "Women in the Future" and "Janeway's Leadership Corner" while over-analyzing everything. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Learning Curve Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S1E16: Learning Curve. In this episode, those ever important gel packs catch a virus and Tuvok tries to get some Maquis on the straight and narrow. Our friend and frequent guest host Attiba Royster joins us for the discussion. Connect with Attiba on Instagram or on his website! And if you like the sound of Attiba's voice (and who wouldn't), check out his podcast Teebs & Kid Phoenix vs. If you are interested in supporting Attiba in his work here is a link to the San Diego Fright Mart he mentions in the episode. Learning Curve Tuvok is assigned the task of training some of the Maquis crew members to be better members of Starfleet. That goes about as well as you might expect it to go! Meanwhile, something has gone awry with Voyager's bio-neural gel packs. The gel packs are failing at an alarming rate and we don't have enough in reserve to keep the ship running. This seems bad. GET THAT CHEESE TO SICKBAY! Be sure to listen to our previous episode S1E15: Jetrel where Neelix meets Talax's Oppenheimer. Next time... Join us in two weeks on May 5th for S2E1: The 37's. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Jetrel Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S1E15: Jetrel. In this episode, Neelix's past comes back to haunt him in the form of James Sloyan playing an Oppenheimer-like character. Remember Sloyan? Yep, that's Odo's dad (sort of)! Jetrel An alien named Jetrel arrives in search of Neelix. Turns out this guy built a weapon that destroyed the moon Neelix and his family lived on. Neelix wasn't there at the time (obviously), but everyone who did live there was killed. Understandably, Neelix does not want anything to do with Jetrel, but Jetrel convinces Janeway that he is on an important mission to save Neelix. As usual, a stranger that we meet in space isn't being completely honest about his motives. Be sure to listen to our previous episode S1E14: Faces where B'Elanna has to come to terms with her Klingon self (literally). Next time... Join us next week for S1E16: Learning Curve. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Faces Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S1E14: Faces. In this episode, we see a little more of Lt Durst as played by Brian Markinson (mostly his face). We met Durst in last week's episode and we wondered how much more we'd see of him! Well...don't get too attached! Faces Tom, B'Elanna and Durst are taken prisoner by the heavily unpleasant Vidiians who suffer from the phage. Remember those guys? While this alone seems bad enough, one of the scientifically inclined Vidiians has separated out the Klingon and human parts of B'Elanna and somehow turned her into two separate people! Now the crew on the outside sets out to save their missing friends while the crew on the inside just fights to survive. Be sure to listen to our previous episode S1E13: Cathexis where the doctor declares Chakotay as brain dead and Harry is punched in the face. Next time... Join us next week for S1E15: Jetrel. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Cathexis Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S1E13: Cathexis. In this episode, Chakotay and Tuvok run into trouble on an away mission and when they return to Voyager, they've brought an invisible guest. Cathexis Tuvok and Chakotay return from an away mission in a heavily damaged shuttle and a brain dead Chakotay. Crew members start losing track of their own actions and Kes thinks there's an unseen presence on board. Janeway and crew (including a never before seen lieutenant) have to race to figure out what's happening before they lose control of Voyager. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Heroes and Demons Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S1E12: Heroes and Demons! In this episode, Harry disappears again! This time he's lost inside a holodeck program based on Beowulf. Tuvok and Chakotay follow him in, but they too get lost and Voyager needs another hero. Heroes and Demons When Harry disappears for the 100th time, Tuvok and Chakotay enter the holodeck to find him. Once inside they find it's playing a Beowulf inspired story where Harry is the hero - but bad news, the NPCs all say Harry is dead. Tuvok and Chakotay don't have much luck and finally we send in the only person who can fight a holographic monster...another hologram! That's right, the doctor gets his first away mission and his first temporary name. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: State of Flux Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S1E11: State of Flux! In this episode, we have a run-in with some Kazan who are as sunburned and cranky as ever. Tuvok thinks someone has sold Federation secrets to the Kazan and he and Chakotay are on the case. Seska (as played by Martha Hackett) and Lt. Carey, of broken nose fame, (played by Josh Clark) are the primary suspects. Biggest shocker in this episode is Kim supports Neelix's actions! WHAT? State of Flux The Voyager crew is foraging on a new planet in search of new food sources. A surprise appearance with a Kazan ship causes a hasty retreat - but some suspicious things happen on the planet with Seska and Lt. Carey. The two crew members were out of comms for a bit and when it's later revealed that someone has sold Federation technology to the Kazan, an investigation ensues. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Prime Factors Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S1E10: Prime Factors. In this episode we meet a new advanced race of people who are maybe a bit lazy. Janeway gets tangled up with one of the leaders of the community as she mistakenly believes he is there to help. This slimy dude is played by Ronald Guttman and we refer to him as Oily G. Prime Factors Voyager encounters a ship from a planet called Sikaris whose leader (Oily G) claims to be there to help. And he invites Janeway and her crew to spend time on his planet to relax and chill. This all seems great until we find they have advanced technology that could get us home but have their own version of the Prime Directive and do not want to help. On top of this, we encounter the seedy underbelly of this bored and lazy civilization who don't seem to care about anything. Be sure to listen to our previous episode S1E9: Emanations where Harry disappears (again). Next time... Join us next week for S1E11: State of Flux. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Emanations Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S1E9: Emanations. In this episode we stumble onto an asteroid of dead bodies and Harry gets lost AGAIN. Surprise guest star Jerry Hardin (who does not look like Mark Twain) turns up as a doctor who studies death! Emanations Harry, Chakotay and B'Elanna find an asteroid full of dead bodies while searching for a new element. When a strange light appears, they try to get back to Voyager safely, but poor Harry gets sucked into a different dimension! Harry spends the episode learning about a new alien race called the Vhnori and their cult-like view of death while trying desperately to find his way home. Be sure to listen to our previous episode S1E8: Ex Post Facto where someone is lying and it's going to take Tuvok (and a ratty dog) to figure it out. Next time... Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Ex Post Facto Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S1E8: Ex Post Facto. In this episode Tom finds himself in some serious trouble and Tuvok goes into Columbo mode (and probably spends some time on his new podcast). And we've got some real old-fashioned Star Trek tropes in this episode including an aggrieved wife (with a ratty little dog), some dull aliens and a gigantic misunderstanding. Ex Post Facto Voyager sends Harry and Tom on an away mission to work on a science thing with some feather-headed aliens. Of course Tom finds the project boring and gets into trouble by making out with the wife of the scientist. And as you can imagine, everything pretty much goes to hell from there. When Tom gets arrested for murder, Tuvok gets out his magnifying glass and starts trying to solve the mystery. Rebinging Star Trek Voyager: Eye of the Needle Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to Rebinge Star Trek Voyager S1E7: Eye of the Needle. In this episode Harry finds a magical wormhole that he's sure will get them home. Bad news, Harry, it's season 1 and your hopes are way too high! And Gilligan and that darn island strike again! Guest star Vaugnn Armstrong plays an old school Romulan who looks suspiciously like Christian Bale (or is that just me?)! Eye of the Needle We find a wormhole to the Alpha Quadrant and instantly change course to take a look. Unfortunately the wormhole is tiny and decaying so the crew works quickly to figure out how to shrink down their ship like in DS9 and fly through the opening! Just kidding, they instead spend the episode communicating with a Romulan (the aforementioned Christian Bale) on the other end trying to convince him to help. What's this rebinge thing? It’s a re-watch of a thing you’ve already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines.
